My iPhone 5S has stopped backing up to iCloud, I have enough storage space so that is not a the issue. I have tried to do a iCloud backup via PC, still having the same issue i can only backup iPhone to my laptop, iCloud was last backed up on the 9th NovÂ
My hard drive on my iMac crashed. I used it to sync and back-up my iPhone 4s 64GB. Since all those back-ups are gone, will I have to back-up my iPhone 4s to icloud now. Also, will backing up with icloud back it up the same as iTunes did on my iMac? I will have to purchase the $100.00 a year storage, but I guess it's worth it to save all the info on my iphone.
I only have an iphone.(No other devices). If i back up to the icloud will this save my contacts in the icloud? Will I be able to restore them from the icloud?
I want to restore my backup from my old 3g to my 4s, however I have been using my 4s for a couple of weeks now and wondered if I restored the back up from my 3g through itunes, would this wipe off any new data that's on my 4s? Or is there a way I can restore the data without wiping off any new stuff such as pictures etc?
Probably a stupid question but I am trying to restore my iPhone as the kids wiped it by entering PIN incorrectly. Last time I backed it up was on a different PC - thought i could restore from any PC with itunes, or does it have to be the PC it was backed up to?
Can someone tell me exactly how to back up my 3.1.2 software with cydia for a windows computer.I read saurik's site and still have no idea what to do.A quick step by step would be much appreciated
Is there something to install that backs up information on my app store apps (ex: what level Im on in Angry Birds) separate from the itunes backup so if I want to restore my phone as a new phone then my app information can be restored? (and also text messages, but thats not as important)
I have connected it to iTunes and it asks me whether I want to back it up from the date I last synced it and I said continue but it isn't putting my music, apps or videos back onto it.

When I back up my iPhone 4s, I get the following message : "iPhone cannot be synced. A duplicate file name was specified" The back up process doesn't back up from the computer to the iPhone, but does the other way around ??
I have recently changed computers and want to update my ipod music however the itunes on the new computer wants me to erase the content currently on my ipod and sync to the new itunes. If I do this I will lose everything. How can I back up my ipod before erasing....i.e songs / photos / apps / contacts etc?

I have an Sprint iPhone 4 and a Macbook. I use a USB to Sync, charge and backup my phone. If I close the lid to my computer while the phone is plugged in to the USB port it locks up my computer. The screen goes black but I can sort of see stuff behind the black screen. I press the power button to turn it off but nothing happens (maybe I have not waited long enough) so I end up taking the battery out, pressing the power button, putting the battery back in and then powering my computer back on.
This just started happening about 2 weeks ago and nothing has changed with my phone or my computer. There is a guy on another message board who just started having the same problem. He has an iPhone 4S, Sprint, a Macbook pro but he has Snow Leopard and I am still using Leopard.
I am taking my phone to a genius bar so needed to back it up first. When I plugged it in it says backing up and syncing step 1 of 4 etc etc Does this mean now that everything is saved onto my computer?? Including my apps and data?
I have recently changed computers and want to update my ipod music however the itunes on the new computer wants me to erase the content currently on my ipod and sync to the new itunes. If I do this I will lose everything. How can I back up my ipod before
I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 5.1 recently, and reinstalled OS X this weekend, and now that I'm trying to back up the content of my iPhone on my Mac, I can't seem to find the music and photos (among other things) that are supposed to have been saved from the iPhone onto my computer. The iTunes library is empty. What should I do to actually back up the content of my iPhone. Has never happened before...
Info: iPhone 4, Other OS, Running iOS 5, not on the list...
I've an iPhone 4s 64gb iOs 5.0.1 for 3 weeks now, but still can't sync it w/ iTunes at all, I've tried iTunes version 10.5.3.3 and version 10.6.1.7 but both of them stuck on backing up (step 2 of 6).
I'm using win7 64bit. Reseting the iPhone and reinstall iTunes doesn't help at all.
And when I plug the iPhone4s to the laptop the lockscreen slider (where it used to say 'slide to unlock') didn't change to 'slide to cancel sync' or something like that (if it should have been that way) but there's two arrow circling on the upper left of the screen tho.
I was updating my iphone. it downloaded, backed information, retrieved programs and was accesing itunes when an error occured and now i don't have an iphone. the image is itunes symbol and an arrow indicating to connect to itunes.
I was backing up my Iphone 4 on Itunes and it changed all my settings back to my old Iphone from February. Every picture i took since then i gone now. How do i get them back??
I need to factory reset my wife's Iphone 5. I followed the instructions that suggested I sync via Itunes. In the process of doing so the sync acted funny during the sync. So I repeated the process. Now my wife's phone has pictures back on it that she had uploaded to you Macbook Pro to create space on her phone. It also downloaded back to the phone all the categories she created on her Macbook Pro for her pictures.
Before I factory reset her phone I need to be confident I backed up her data correctly. Especially her contacts and most importantly her pictures.
After a long teleconference call, my iphone was blistering hot from extended use.
Hot enough in fact, to damage the backing to the display. Looking at it it's clearly behind any image on the screen; guess I'm gonna visit a genius. I'm not sure what chip or component is under that spot. I'd be curious if anyone could ascertain what it may be.
Here's two horrible images (sorry, only had my wife's 3g to take the pic) trying to show the burn spot. One is on a white field, the second is where I move the image to show it's the display itself and not some image being drawn.
i am not sure if i changed something or not but when i plug my phone in it syncs for about 20 minutes. before it was maybe 2-3 at the most. i dont sync any music to my phone and i only have 2 pages of apps. just says backing up phone forever. it never did this.
