Xperia X10 :: Transferring Contacts From Sony Ericsson Website?
Jan 8, 2011
I have just spent ages typing all my contacts on the Sony Ericsson website. I then connected my phone and did the sync. All appeared to go well... appeared. The problem is is that all contact names were transferred, but very little of the actual contact details. Only one phone number or an email address, but never a street address, birthday etc etc. I don't have an sd card. Could that be it? Just the most basic information has been transferred. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong/what step I've missed.
When I sync my mobile... Xperia X8 my contacts in phone & SIM are not transferred to the website. Lately I saved 4 Phone NO. directly to SyncML & only those 4 nos. are there. how to upload all my contacts to SE website.I also am not able to get Google Voice search...
I have been trying to synchronise my Xperia X8 to the Sony Ericsson website. It worked the first time when I set up the sync, and managed to copy over my calendar. However, my contacts weren't backed up on the website, so I tried again to synchronise my phone via the sync 'app' on my phone (as before) to copy them over, too, but a message kept popping up in the status bar of my phone saying 'No network access. Please try again later.' My network coverage is '3 out of 4 bars', according to my phone, so it should be quite strong. I have been trying repeatedly to sync over at least 3 hours, but with no success, and the same message keeps popping up, regardless of the fact that my phone shows a good network coverage.
I'm trying to download a new software update for my W760a, because it tells me it cannot add anymore contacts and I can't recieve or send texts/ phone calls. When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.
I cannot sync my contacts from my phone to my pc. I have faithfully followed the instruction, but it goes no further than the Import page. It asks me to look for a VCard file, but all I could see was a contacts.csv fle which I thought was the one, but it said "Could not export" or something to that effect. I know the synch works otherwise because I have been able to change my bookmarks online.
I got a problem transferring file from my Hazel to my laptop using bluetooth (be it small or large size file).Although it's still OK to transfer from my laptop to my phone, or transfer from Hazel to other phones. So what seems to be the problem here? This makes my crazy cos I take pictures a lot and want to send them to my laptop via bluetooth.
I have too many numbers to fit on my SIM to move to the Aino, so is there a way I can bluetooth them from my C905 onto the Aino? I cannot remember for the life of me how I did it last time, but yesterday lost everything after doing a software update from Sony! Luckily still have numbers on old phone!
I have some troubles trying to transfer videos into my phone and I keep getting the error "Cannot read from source file.". I was able to transfer videos into my phone in the past without any problems until this started. Could it be something wrong with my USB or SD card?
I have XPERIA X10 mini. After synhronization everything exept contracts appears on my personal page in Sony Ericsson Sync place. I did everything as was recommended in instructions, several times: by hand and automatically, but without result in any case...
I have an Xperia X10 for 3 months. The contacts file uploaded from windows to google ok, but the sync with the X10 continuously failed & only worked properly last week. Since then, process acore keeps forcing closed when in contacts or settings! There are approximately 3000 contacts in the file. Has anyone come across this and found a solution? If anyone knows a better way to transfer contacts from windows to android, speak up ,I have tried the phone dealer and manufacturer, both have ignored the question.
it is possible to transfer contacts from a PC directly (through Outlook) to an X10 mini pro ??Just bought one and cant get it to sync as with the other phones I have had.
have an xperia x10 and there is an update ready. the problem is it says all info saved on phone would be removed. how do i get all my contacts and files safe before doing this and also how/were can i put all this info so i always have a back up. i tried folowing the backup bit on the sony ericson companian software bit but it wouldnt work etc.
i realy need to update my phone asap as it hasnt been working very well n only just realised it needed updating but im scared of losing all my stuff on it esp when it says on the update part that all data and files etc will be lost
I'm giving up on my X10 mini for numerous reasons: Battery life, poor UI, connection issues and the fact that its a very smart little computer but a pretty rubbish phone! I need to get my contacts off it and onto my old SE, think its a w595 or something.
I recently bought a nokia n95 (the silver european one) and I have this sony ericsson k510i and I have too many contacts to fit them all on a SIM card so I was wondering is there any alternate way to get the contacts transfered from the SE to the nokia and please note that the k510i does not have a memory card :/
I would like to sort my contact list but i cannot see any "name display" was shown in the settings. There is only 2 options but not "name display".what can i do?
Just got a new Sony Ericsson Spiro. There seems to be no synchronisation software available to backup contacts to a PC. PC Suite page says the phone is not compatible. The phone also doesn't appear in the sync list on the new web sync service. There must be a way to backup the phone data. Anyone know how?
I have had my Sony Ericsson W995 for almost a year now, and the contacts keep swapping themselves around, I had to get the backup from my memory card which is really old, but my problem is, if two contacts start with the same letter, they jumble themselves around. I.E, I will have a friend called David (Which isn't his name, by the way) and that will be right under Dad. David will become the same number as Dad, therefore making me have to get Davids number again.
inserted sim card with all contacts messages etc from previous phone (Nokia 6233) and no trace of them on my contacts on the Elm (new, received today). Checked out support but no success - am sure this must be a simple problem to solve - anyone out there have the answer?
I have a Sony Ericsson Elm. I use it for both business and personal calls. I see I can set categories of contacts and set different ringtones. What I would like to do is, say, when on holiday/weekends set the phone so that I do not hear a ringtone for work related numbers. I would still like to receive the call (go to voicemail) but not be notified when the call is actually incoming.
I updated the address and email information of all my contacts via the sony ericsson site but when I sync it to my phone the data doesn't show up on my X10. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution? It would be much appreciated!
I already tried to update my Elm (j10i2) software and it already said it has already the latest software update. My problem is that I cant erase the contact after I texted them. Just giving me the option to mark it. And not the delete option. Is this a software bug that is being fixed right now?
