I already tried to update my Elm (j10i2) software and it already said it has already the latest software update. My problem is that I cant erase the contact after I texted them. Just giving me the option to mark it. And not the delete option. Is this a software bug that is being fixed right now?

Most phones are limited to 20 contacts per sent message. I am planning to buy a SE AINO but first want to be sure that it has the same feature. Does it have the same feature?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am about 12-13 months in to an 18 month contract with 3. My W595 has recently started to play up. It is a random occurrence so I cannot just take it in to a shop and show what is happening and going wrong. I have over 290 contacts and details in my phone. Sometimes when I reach for my phone and press the down button to get to my contacts there is nothing there apart from New Contact and My Numbers. All of the contacts have disappeared. Not only do the contacts disappear but so do all the stored text messages that I want to keep a bit longer before deleting. Fortunately I meticulously back my phone up using PC Suite so at least I can get them back again, but that in it self has it's problems, which I will explain further down. My contacts are stored in the phone memory, (there too many to store on the SIM). All other data, such as the calender, photos and notes remain intact and OK, I can only surmise that this data is stored away from the phone memory on the SD card so it cannot "disappear" in the same way.
I have reported this to 3 tech support but all they do is get me to check for updates to the phone software, (which happens to be current anyway). I just reinstall using the update facility and be done with it. The crazy thing is that because my confidence level is so low at the moment, I have to cart my laptop with me when I go away for wekends, just in case I lose everything again. The phone and the laptop have to be kept together for obvious reasons. The problem was reported to 3 well before the 12 month warranty ran out so any more reported problems that are connected will be covered in the event of a claim being made. They won't send a replacement phone whilst my own phone is away for analysis. I cannot do without the phone and the contents.
I have made my mind up to leave 3 at the end of the contract and I do not want another Sony Ericsson phone - I want to go back to Nokia, I never had any trouble with them. At the moment, I just feel as though I am limping with this W595 to the end of a painful 18 months. Has, or is anyone else experiencing similar problems with their W595? PC Suite Problem. My main problem with PC Suite when used in conjunction with my Sony Ericsson W595 phone is that there is no facility to produce a hard copy or print of the contacts list. I will need to do this when I change phones at the end of my contract to make it easier to input them into the new phone, (which hopefully will be a Nokia!). The only method that I have found is to do a "Print Screen" or a Screen Capture. Of course this has to be done several times to be able to cover nearly 300 contacts and all their input details.
C905: Since last week I cannot send photo's by MMS. Report: sending failed. I do not have problems with sending ordinary text MMS with even cartoons. It is even impossible to resend the photo's which were already sent previously.

Its not having that dumb out of memory problem just yet but whenever i say send, it just quits the sms screen and soesn't actually send anything. I restarted it a couple of times and nothing seems to change it. Just when I was adjusting to the useless out of memory problem this is a new bomb on me.

After going to the lake district, something happened to my phone and it stopped sending texts. They would just pile up in the outbox, queing to be sent but would never leave. My phone works fine for everything else apart from this. I have updated to the latest Sony Erricson software and made sure the service number (where the phone relays texts or something) was correct.

When I go into messages and click the green circle in bottom right hand corner and the next screen is where you enter recipients and your message, i start by typing the 1st person i wish to add and his name comes up and i add him to the recipient list thats all fine but i cant find a button or anything to add another contact?? the only way is to delete the number of the recipient that pops up under his name and start over again! i have never come across this in any phone in the last 5 years and even this phone before the update?

Once I start typing their name, it should start to automatically come up. When I try to do this on the phone, it won't do it. Do I really have to enter someone's phone number in order to do this? What if I want to add more than one person which is not an easy task either. I found where people are being told to download an app called Handcent SMS which will resolve the multiple people issue but what about accessing my contacts just by starting to type their name in the "To" line?

When selecting a contact to send a message to, the drop down list auto fills with some of my contacts which start with the letters I am keying in, but it does not auto fill with all the relevant contacts, missing out most of the contacts which start with the letter or name I am keying in? E.g if I was sending to a contact called "Paul" Keying in "P" would only bring up a few of the contacts I have starting with "Paul" but no all of them Even if I continue to key in the full name the auto fill does not seem to find the exact same name which is in my contacts Is there any way to turn off this auto fill so you can manually select the contacts I wish to sent the message to?

Accept from today I have tried to send texts but then find that they are waiting in the outbox saying it will try to resend the message again in a few minutes. I have tried to send a text to other contacts to see if it was a problem with the other person but this still happens. The message wont actually send. I sometimes receive a text saying that "You have a message waiting but your inbox is full" and it says that I should delete my inbox to create space. So i now have an empty inbox and still receive this text... Lastly I have tried to update my phone but this still hasn't fixed this problem! Is there anyway of fixing this?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen texting with the vivaz I have a problem closing a sentence with a word with nore than one option - home and good for example. On my old C902 I could select the word i wanted by toggling then by pressing the 1 key I would then toggle through the list of punctuation marks at the end of my desired word. On the Vivaz as soon as you hit the 1 key the word jumps back to the first optional word in the toggle list. The noly way I can find to avoid is to hit the arrow key then the 1key and toggle through again. This seems like a step backwards for me.Any ideas? Could SE take this on board for a future update? Particularly as the old phones worked.

View 4 Replies View RelatedToday,I turn on my X8,and i want to go to market and download some apps,so when i open market,it pops out this log in thing.Then,i type my gmail password,then it said network error,but i am connected to my wifi already.Then,I press try again a few times and it still said network error.Then I went to settings,accounts,and I tried to delete my account and open a new account,but it said something about not responding something like that and it pops back to settings.So I factory reset my x8,and when it reboots to the sony ericsson text,it hangs.
