I have a Sony Ericsson Elm. I use it for both business and personal calls. I see I can set categories of contacts and set different ringtones. What I would like to do is, say, when on holiday/weekends set the phone so that I do not hear a ringtone for work related numbers. I would still like to receive the call (go to voicemail) but not be notified when the call is actually incoming.
View 1 RepliesMy K800i turns itself off every (est.) 10 seconds after I turn it on. I tried taking the mem.card off & changing the batt but it didn't solve the prob.I used the master reset(all setting) but it wasn't successful because at the midst of the procedure, it turned off.Now whenever I turn it on, it only says "please wait" (probably because of the reset I did) but it would not continue even if I wait for a couple of hours.I tried updating it with Update Service but it failed. I tried several times and same things happened.

View 1 Replies View Relatedyesterday, i changing the housing/fascia of my fully working c902 (used a tuturial on Internet) and everything went fine until i finally assembled everything and found out that it wasn't turning on... i've checked everything a thousand times, every connector and piece and all seems normal but i can't solve this problem. there isn't any signal when connect it to the power either. i just feel the battery getting warmer, nothing else (the battery should be fine since i tested with a backup battery which didn't work either).what could be the cause? please, i'm getting mad with this problem, your help will be very appreciated.

I have followed the guide on this site (menu>settings>sound&alerts>ringtones) and this brings me to a music folder containing 2 folders (ringtones & my radio recs) but no mp3s. I have music and audiobooks in mp3 format and when i choose TRACKS they apear all togheter. filtering them out by playlist isnt a option because i update my music frequently and i dont have time 2 insert any new song in a "MY MUSIC PLAYLIST". in the manual it sayz that when u select TRACKS it only shows you the music without the ringtones and that's not true.

Can I configure my phone or PC to not do so. I prefere to connect HF not sooner than I will connect manually from phone, I make a phone call, or I play an audio file on phone. As I noticed active HF service limits BT bandwith drastically.

The buttons light up and the phone vibrates every couple of seconds but cannot get past the logo screen. If I can get my phone to sync with my computer in 'phone mode' the repair setting in PC suite may fix this problem but I can only connect in 'Mass Storage' mode. Can I update the phone in any other way?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI turned my phone off then on. In the process of it starting up it kept on turning on and off by itself. I had no chance to do anything before it wouldn't turn off again. The battery said it was full but everytime it turned back on I could see it was loosing life. I went to plug it in to charge but that wouldn't help as it wouldn't charge while it was turning on and off all the time. I tried to take the battery out. I have taken the memory card out. Now it has frozen with a white lit up screen.

My phone was working good. I tried to update the software using SE update service. When I press C and connected the cable the software checked connected phone and replied product can not be identified, remove the cable and reinsert the battery. I did so. But now phone is not working when I try to switch it on, the screen just blinks with a light but no text on the screen. I tried to flash the phone too but it is also not wokring XS++ shows something link this.

I recently bought a nokia n95 (the silver european one) and I have this sony ericsson k510i and I have too many contacts to fit them all on a SIM card so I was wondering is there any alternate way to get the contacts transfered from the SE to the nokia and please note that the k510i does not have a memory card :/

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had my Sony Ericsson W995 for almost a year now, and the contacts keep swapping themselves around, I had to get the backup from my memory card which is really old, but my problem is, if two contacts start with the same letter, they jumble themselves around. I.E, I will have a friend called David (Which isn't his name, by the way) and that will be right under Dad. David will become the same number as Dad, therefore making me have to get Davids number again.
