Trying to set my own music to ringtones and its not working. Tried converting to wav file and shortened to 30 seconds that didn't work, converting shorter version to mp3 didn't work. How do I make it happen? I have a W518a.

While in playback from playlist, tracks, authors etc phone will display failed and not go onto next song. Using 8gb M2 memory card. Have full formated memory card. Have placed music in root directory or card and in music directory. If you try to play filed song again redisplays failed. However you can forward to next song and it will play. I have tried many combinations and it still fails after each song.

Even though I already turn the volume up to the max, I still cannot hear other people clearly no matter using the receiver on the headset or a headset. I tried to update the phone, but it doesn't help. Can I expect a coming update to solve this?

I can't seem to find a way in the Settings to remove these and I haven't seen it discussed in the user guide. Is it also possible to remove the date and time from that same main screen as well?

The problem I have is when the phone locks me into GPRS, it becomes a virtual paper weight. It works great if I can get it to lock onto Edge by walking around enough. I want to be able to manually choose Edge. Why can't I do this?

What I would like to do is, say, when on holiday/weekends set the phone so that I do not hear a ringtone for work related numbers. I would still like to receive the call (go to voicemail) but not be notified when the call is actually incoming.

I have music and audiobooks in mp3 format and when i choose TRACKS they apear all togheter. filtering them out by playlist isnt a option because i update my music frequently and i dont have time 2 insert any new song in a "MY MUSIC PLAYLIST". in the manual it sayz that when u select TRACKS it only shows you the music without the ringtones and that's not true.

I have defined a mailbox but every time I go back into settings like the prompt says the mail box is not there and I then have to define a new mail box, which then disappears again. It is currently set to "must be defined". When I press it to edit it (I cannot save with the setting "must be defined") I am prompted to "define an access point in settings. I return to the main menu and open settings>connectivity>destinations, the only screen I have found with references to access points. After setting all access points on this screen to my home WiFi network, I return to IM only to be faced with the exact same problem.Also, I have set my home WiFi network up in the settings page, but whenever I leave that page, it changes from "connected" to "known", preventing me from accessing the internet.

Whereas the bluetooth receiver plays a different sound which is universal to all SE delivery report sounds. Could anyone tell me how to set it to the other tone and not the message alert tone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to reprogram my K800i and lost all my settings. I've got it all set up except for the earpiece volume which is typically low in this model. The fix is to set it in the service menu. When I go to the secret service menu to raise the earpiece volume, it allows me to change it, I hit ok. If I go back, it is at the old level, not the one I just set.
So is it really not saving it or just going to a default level? If it is not saving it, what could be wrong? I have updated the service to the latest one and my phone is not a locked version. I would test it but it is midnight here and I don't wake anyone to have them give me a test call. (no land line either)

I have saved my phone contacts and my proposed ringtone files to the phone memory and set each contact up with their correct ringtone. Also, having set a new default ringtone for general calls, this doesn't seem to want to work either - again the Sony ringtone keeps going off. I have even tried to find the Sony ringtone on the phone and delete it, but without success.
