Sony Ericsson :: W518a Camera Flash
Aug 24, 2010The flash on my w518a works when I am taking a video however it does not seem to work when I take a still picture. Is there a setting on the phone that I have not setup correctly?

Sony Ericsson :: W518a / Volume Too Low?
Oct 11, 2010I just got a W518a, and I liked everything about it except for the volume. Even though I already turn the volume up to the max, I still cannot hear other people clearly no matter using the receiver on the headset or a headset. I tried to update the phone, but it doesn't help. Can I expect a coming update to solve this?

Sep 1, 2010Trying to set my own music to ringtones and its not working. Tried converting to wav file and shortened to 30 seconds that didn't work, converting shorter version to mp3 didn't work. How do I make it happen? I have a W518a.

Sep 1, 2010While in playback from playlist, tracks, authors etc phone will display failed and not go onto next song. Using 8gb M2 memory card. Have full formated memory card. Have placed music in root directory or card and in music directory. If you try to play filed song again redisplays failed. However you can forward to next song and it will play. I have tried many combinations and it still fails after each song.

Dec 3, 2010The demo for this phone on the support page indicates I can manually choose which network I am using, however, my actual phone does not have that menu item. The problem I have is when the phone locks me into GPRS, it becomes a virtual paper weight. It works great if I can get it to lock onto Edge by walking around enough. I want to be able to manually choose Edge. Why can't I do this?

Aug 25, 2010I notice some problem regarding my SE ELM's camera flash.It seem can't be turn off.Though I already selected no flash option,the phone still fires it.I think it some kind a software bugs because when selecting twilight landscape in scene menu (where the option is having no flash) the flash is completely off.I tried reflashing R7CA61, it seem doesn't solve anything,anybody could help me on this and anybody experience the same?

Jan 23, 2010I recently bought a new K850i (because the last one I bought had a bad camera). On my last phone I used the Laser Precision theme, and the Menu was those neon-blue icons. I don't have them any more. Ok, so searching around the forum, I found out that I have to debrand the phone? I have no "PlayNow" icon in the top left corner. Only a "Netcom" icon, which is a provider(?) here in Norway. Can someone please tell me how I do this? Do I have to "brand" it or whatever after I have debranded it? I don't understand this. I just want to get rid of the Netcom icons and get back the flash menu.
