Aug 20, 2010I have a K810i and would like to take a backup of my text SMS. I have searched for this topic in these forums and it seems that there does not seem to be a way to do so. However, after using PC Suite, I am quite confused. Limiting ourselves to PC Suite for now, here are my doubts:
1. Using PC Suite, is there any way to create a backup of my text SMS?
2. Can the backups be stored in text format so that I can just browse through them like text files? I hate to depend on PC Suite just for viewing some text.
3. Can I restore this backup in case the SMSes on my phone are lost by accident?
4. What does the PC Suite Archive do? I copied my SMSes from the phone to a new archive and they are visible even when the phone has been disconnected from the PC.
I can see that PC Suite creates a bunch of text files in random order for these archived SMS.

Jan 4, 2010Im curious regarding may K810i, the battery life gets drained easily. It started when i connected my phone to a computer which i think have shorted or there is electricity static usb port. I notice it wen, i put my Usb Memory stick on the said port and the memory stick got damage and unusable.
Whats get me confused, i went to different repair shop and said the it is battery problem, the fact that i have 2 extra battery which when i use now dont last long (before it last 6 hours and now only and hour) and the original battery lasts for 2 days before and now lasts for 6 - 8 hours only.
One technician said the phone was shorted. but the other said it was a battery problem. But the sad part after saying the cause, they dont have parts for SE phone. The original battery cost high. Maybe anyone encountered same problem and can give an opinion wat to do..

Jul 31, 2010My girlfriends SE K550i died yesterday. If you try to start it it flashes red a couple of times then nothing happens. I have read about this and I thought I could reflash the phone to see if that fixes it. I have tried with XS++ and when I press 2 and 5 and connect the phone the program reacts but it stops at "Protocol Version 3.1" then nothing happens. The phone doesn't react when I put it in the charger so perhaps the battery is all drained too.

Apr 23, 2010My phone was working good. I tried to update the software using SE update service. When I press C and connected the cable the software checked connected phone and replied product can not be identified, remove the cable and reinsert the battery. I did so. But now phone is not working when I try to switch it on, the screen just blinks with a light but no text on the screen. Oct 27, 2010I need help desperately.my Sonyericsson w580i is not powered on. I lost my power button few days ago and I opened my back panel and tried to power on by using tooth stick by pressing small button. Somehow I broke that one too.Is there any other way to power on my device for few minutes only, I need to copy all contacts from phone to sim.

Jan 23, 2010I recently bought a new K850i (because the last one I bought had a bad camera). On my last phone I used the Laser Precision theme, and the Menu was those neon-blue icons. I don't have them any more. Ok, so searching around the forum, I found out that I have to debrand the phone? I have no "PlayNow" icon in the top left corner. Only a "Netcom" icon, which is a provider(?) here in Norway. Can someone please tell me how I do this? Do I have to "brand" it or whatever after I have debranded it? I don't understand this. I just want to get rid of the Netcom icons and get back the flash menu.
