I lost my k800i and I am very low on budget. May 75-100USD for a used phone to buy. I'm choosing between k850i and k810i. K850i cost around 100USD while K810i maybe 50-75USD. What do you suggest. K800i-R8BF003 CID 53

My K810i can't startup. Battery is fully charged. When I press power button, just have flash at IR receiver.

1) Is it a good deal ?
2) What about signal reception issues ? are they fixed with the latest firmware?
3) Screen quality is better than C902 or or worse ?
4) found a slightly used X10 mini for US$280.
What is the phone I should go with? ELM or the X10 mini.
K850I WILL NOT TURN ON. WHEN I PRESS THE POWER BUTTON THE KEYBOARD LIGHTS UP AND VIBRATES ONCE THATS IT . I HAVE REMOVED BATTERY , SIM, AND MEMORY CARD. CANNOT CONNECT TO PC.

I never go down mega pixels. I currently have a w995. But, how good is the C905 for image stabilization? I tried the Satio. No good. Nor was Aino. I guess my question is what phone has got image stabilization the same as the k850i with over 5mp.

View 4 Replies View RelatedLike so many people here, i have also forgotten my phone Lock Code. So today i have decided to reset it anyhow and while playing with my phone K850i - A2 phone, db3150, BINGO, i found the way. May be this should work with all platform phones. But still this has to be confirmed by the owner of different platform phones. The solution is- look in your FS in this folder. tpa/preset/default now delete this file- 'security_domain_settings'. That's it. Your Phone Lock Code is reset to 0000.Before deleting you might want to back up that file. Though it is not required. Tested by me.Pls confirm this method by different platform phone users. edit: Just found that by deleting this file, it is not recreated. so there might be some functions which will not be able to use if you delete it. But by activating it, it serves the purpose. asking for passward and all. if you give wrong passward, it will not let you access. Do it at your risk. this means if you forget the passward again, you will not able to retrive it. edit 2 : By flashing the phone this file is recreated and you will have the same passward as you have set after deleting that file. In my opnion, just flash your phone after you use the above mentioned method.

I have a k850i Sony Ericsson and I am so proud to have it. The problem is that lately it is too slow. I think it has a virus. I scanned it and proved it. Do u think if I cleaned it. With an anti-virus it will cease to function.

However recently this no longer work, which is really annoying.I don't know how it used to remember it, but is it a capacitor and could this be broken? Or is there a smaller battery inside.Real time clock says 'ok' but I'm clueless as to what that means!
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a K810i and would like to take a backup of my text SMS. I have searched for this topic in these forums and it seems that there does not seem to be a way to do so. However, after using PC Suite, I am quite confused. Limiting ourselves to PC Suite for now, here are my doubts:
1. Using PC Suite, is there any way to create a backup of my text SMS?
2. Can the backups be stored in text format so that I can just browse through them like text files? I hate to depend on PC Suite just for viewing some text.
3. Can I restore this backup in case the SMSes on my phone are lost by accident?
4. What does the PC Suite Archive do? I copied my SMSes from the phone to a new archive and they are visible even when the phone has been disconnected from the PC.
I can see that PC Suite creates a bunch of text files in random order for these archived SMS.
I purchased k810i mobile 1year back recently i updated firmware R8BA024 .my question is it resent version if yes i have problem with battery back up,battery charge will not stay 1day.I purchased original battery from ericcson service center recently.

It started when i connected my phone to a computer which i think have shorted or there is electricity static usb port. I notice it wen, i put my Usb Memory stick on the said port and the memory stick got damage and unusable.
Whats get me confused, i went to different repair shop and said the it is battery problem, the fact that i have 2 extra battery which when i use now dont last long (before it last 6 hours and now only and hour) and the original battery lasts for 2 days before and now lasts for 6 - 8 hours only.
One technician said the phone was shorted. but the other said it was a battery problem. But the sad part after saying the cause, they dont have parts for SE phone. The original battery cost high. Maybe anyone encountered same problem and can give an opinion wat to do..

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday i have found second secret menu in my K850i. I have searched here for it but could not find any. It can be accessed by clicking By pressing that you get the second secret menu namely 'Personalize'. There are two options under that.
1. Network
2. Network Subset.
By clicking any one you get another menu titled MNC Length. Under that two options are there. MNC2 & MNC3. By clicking any one you get password request.Can anyone know or explain me the use of it.
