Sony Ericsson :: C905 - RSS Feeds Missing In R1FA035
I have a unbranded (stock) C905, and I have "lost" the RSS option from the media menu. I assume this happened with a recent firmware update, but not sure which one. Its rather annoying as there is an RSS feed subscribed, and the icon is showing on the status screen saying I have a new RSS info, but I cannot actually get to it.

Sony Ericsson :: C905 - Weak Flash
First C905 I received was a dud, and I'm thinking this one may be too. The flash is very...weak. I had a K790a in the past and it's flash wasn't too bad, but this one is very mediocre. I took a few sample pictures to demonstrate how it works. The first two are on automatic, I literally opened the lens, point and click. The cat is two feet away, the dresser is six feet away. The flash "flashes" but as you can see, it's result is meh. If you enable smart-contrast, it's a little better. And if you shut off flash: Are there different camera drivers or perhaps a different firmware I should try? Current firmware: R1FA035 Generic

I'm new on this ericsson wave of modding, i just replaced my custom_upgrade file with one with a different CAD in order to receive all the latest updates on my c905, i had some problems getting the chat-style SMS mode and so i had to change the CAD, but now i wanted Flash Menus but all the tutorials ask me to replace the custom_upgrade file again and im afraid im might change it and stop receiving the benefits of the update services.any ideas or suggestions?

I got brod almost 4 times already and was able to fix it by using seus but this time it always prompt me "you have already the latest version.." And there's no option for re-installing the firmware that i used to click everytime I use seus.. I also need some links on where to download the firmware R1FA035.

I made a video for You guys who don't have the new from R1F, and hopefully this will inspire you to get the update. I am running stopwatch (my own experiment to see how long the battery goes, it goes for 6 days standby btw), media player and taking a pic and using photofix (which crashes in EA037), photo DJ and as you can see it doesn't crash or reboot. I am using the volume rocker as well as large clock size, which used to not exist in the previous firmwares. I have just received my lovely C905, and its great, my previous phone was the K850i and I wanted to know how to transfer my MMS from the 850 to the 905. I have used Myphoneexplorer to transfer the SMS that I wanted to keep, but the MMS seem to be invisible to the program, I obviously know that I can send the pictures by bluetooth, but I wanted to send the complete message to my new phone, there must be a way to do this without getting another SIM (which I don't have) and forwarding them. Is there a folder that I can go into to view them from my computer then transfer them to the new phone etc. or a piece of software that can do what myphoneexplorer can do but for MMS.

I am looking to upgrade my phone, been with SE since my T68 through the K series. I like gadgets and don't actually really use the phone very much! I am torn between the two phones. The X1 is obviously more 'PC' like being based on windows but I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions to help me decide! 1) Can the X1 have individual ring and message tones for contacts? 2) Are there any good games for the X1? 3) Is the camera on the C905 good? (I know it is 8mp but I hate the K850 camera and always use the wifes K800 to take any pics) 4) Following on from 3, Is the X1 camera the basically the same as the K800?

My W810i won't turn on after I modded it. I clicked flash plugged in my phone and held c everything was fine then it gave me this: "SETOOL2 LITE COMPACT_SEMC_FS_LOADER (FAT V26) loader startup: executed loader filesystem startup: executed wrong response, break. loader GDFS startup failed, that is fatal Elapsed:238 secs. Abort all operations. phone pre-boot failed,possible RECOVERY needed. Elapsed:5 secs." Wrong response, break. Loader GDFS startup failed, that is fatal What does that even mean? Fatal? So I clicked stop and unplugged my phone and now it won't turn on!

Sony Ericsson :: C905 - Cannot Connect To Web Using Phone Over WiFi
I'm a Sys Admin as a main job and I can't get this to work! I've taken all security off my router, and it's running DHCP. Turn the phone on, it finds the SSID. It connects fine. The router can't see it though as an attached device. If I set up Network Access on the phone, from my PC I can go to start->run and type in 192.168.0.3 and then log in using the user name and password I just set up in my Network Access just fine - and browse my files fine. However, I cannot connect to the web using my phone over WiFi! It just says communication error and that's that. I have no idea what I need to change, or try. I've tried setting all the IP config manually, tried different DNSs etc. but still no joy. I can get into the phone using WiFi, but the phone can't get out.

I did have an account here from a while back but I can't find the account for the life of me. Anyway, I seem to have a problem with my new C905, I was on my way home yesterday and I noticed that my Pioneer Bluetooth car radio wasn't connected to my phone. So I tried to tell the stereo to connect, all it came back with was "ERROR". So i went to Settings > Bluetooth > My Devices, selected the stereo and chose "Connect". The phone literally locked up there and then. So I waited for it to restart, then told it to turn off Bluetooth. It said Bluetooth had been switched off but the option still said "Turn off Bluetooth". Also, whenever I try to add a new device, it shows the "Make sure the device is in range" message then drops straight back to the My Devices screen. It's an Orange C905 debranded and running R1BA042 WESTERN-EURO OTA SEUS says there's no update available, but I haven't tried it with the PC version yet. Has anyone else heard of this problem or knows what it could be? Any help would be great.

I recently got a SE C905 on orange. The phone is on contract and contained all the orange branding like "orange maps" etc. and a distinct lack of all the things I was hoping to find on the default SE like "google maps, wayfinder, tennis" etc. Also the shortcut button no longer has shortcuts like previous SE phones its just for Applications in use! I decided that debranding the phone was the way to go to restore this phone to its beautiful self! So using davinci I installed the Generic SE Firmware, which of course had Wayfinder, Google Maps and the rest of it! It was awesome, the phone worked smoothly, the menus looked better and even vibrated when u moved the cursor around and the GPS seemed to have a better signal! Anyway an hour or so later I looked at my phone to see it read "Inactive Sim" rather than orange! You can imagine my disappointment! I have now rebranded my phone back to orange and is working fine no "Inactive Sims" as of yet! I am desperate to get off this orange firmware and back to the generic firmware as it is a million times better! I cannot remove orange maps or any of the rubbish they put on there, so no chance of trying to do that!
