Jan 11, 2010I have a unbranded (stock) C905, and I have "lost" the RSS option from the media menu. I assume this happened with a recent firmware update, but not sure which one. Its rather annoying as there is an RSS feed subscribed, and the icon is showing on the status screen saying I have a new RSS info, but I cannot actually get to it.

Feb 7, 2010I am struggling to find a new phone to replace my C902 so I need some suggestions or ill end up having another C902! My criteria:
Must have buttons - I don't mind an element of touch screen but it has to have buttons to text with
Not Smart phone - I use my phone as a phone, not a portable media device to have no use for all the extra features. My main uses are calling, texting and taking photos so I want a decent camera, minimum of 5mp.
I prefer the candy bar style which rules out a lot of phones so I am prepared to be flexible with that. From what I can see there is the Elm coming out but that seems to be a very slightly updated version of the C902, theres the Aino but from reading reviews people haven't been overly impressed with its photo capabilities. So has anyone got any other suggestions for me? I've always had SE but am considering moving to the dark side to find a phone I like/want. Doesn't necessarily have to be brand new either, im even considering looking at the C905.

I enjoy the x10 mini but the C905's camera is with difference the best, so i'd like to know if there is a way of turning on the phone and use it as a camera and music player but without simcard, so that i can take it when i go somewhere and i want to take some pics.Let's say i have 2 phones and i'd like to have both at the same time.

Jul 16, 2010I own a C905 which I have had for just over 16 months and I have found it to be an excellent phone however me being a gadget person I need more mainly in the photography department 8.1 just isn't enough. I am looking to find out some information as to why there has been no replacement for the C905, I have my upgrade in a few months and I am beginning to get worried as I am far from comfortable using a touchscreen. A simple re-design of the c905 with the 12mp camera would be fine, something a bit slimmer maybe even if it was a replacement for the Aino which I had been looking at as I own a ps3 and would use remote play a great deal so was willing to sacrifice the added camera quality, but as fate would have it after deciding to upgrade to it my service provider informed me that they no longer stock the Aino. With my upgrade approaching and no sign of a phone to meet requirements in production as of yet I am not sure what to do so really any help or advise would be nice as i am a dedicated sony ericsson fan and really don't want to have to look elsewhere.

Aug 24, 2010I notice a flashing red light on the side of phone. I put the phone on charge seemed to be charging ok approx 5 hours later took it off charge. I used phone and noticed the battery indicator showing 1 red bar the phone bleeped low battery and turned off. I've done all normal trouble shooting tips still the same. I've bought original Sony Ericsson charger and battery that hasn't worked either.

Oct 26, 2010Symptoms: Phone wont charge. right off the box. Says "Battery cannot be charged, please use a Sony Ericsson Battery". It is a Sony Ericsson battery. It is a Sony Ericsson charger. Everything came out of the box.
I just opened it, and first thing I did was plug it into the wall. Now, I have installed the update service, tells me phone is up to date (downloaded straight from sonyericsson.com). I have installed Phone suite 6.01; tried a repair phone, aborts with an error when it comes to the update service (right after the remove batery, press C while connecting phone part). Also same thing with car charger.

May 20, 2010I got the phone about a week ago , GPS didn't work since i got it . I installed the newest software R1FA035 ,and the result was. When i enter the current status: after around 3 or 5 m. it finds around 3 or 4 satellites and they are located on the top of the screen 2 right and 2 left , they are outside the circle. before updating it could find 1 or 2 max. at same locations , but the new soft finds 4 and faster the old soft was R1FA035 too so it is always searching and never connected. When i use A-GPS " Internet " it locates my town on google maps and then wait for GPS signal , which doesn't connect like i said is it a software problem ? or hardware ? or regional " i'm from Egypt?hope you can help me , cause i can ask to change the phone this week " 14 days from buying "This Message was edited by: George0Isk on 2010-05-19 23:09 ]

Jul 15, 2010Slight technical problem with my C905 . Having updated the phones firmware to R1FA035, it has developed some connectivity issues. Firstly, when I now connect the USB cable, the mode menu pops up, but then disappears and the phone does not connect in any way. In addition, I cannot turn on USB charging in the service settings, just says 'charging off' every time. Also when I connect the phone using the 'C' button to boot, it just boots into mass storage mode.windows does not even pick up any hardware connected. Tried a number of cables on 3 different computers. I have tried doing a master reset but no luck. I cant update the phones software to try fix the problem, as USB does not connect. I tried phoning SE, but they just told me to send it off for a fee...and no guaranteed results.

Sony Ericsson :: Can't Hear During A Call In C905
Sep 27, 2010I use the phone and take a call as normal. Next day someone rings me, they can NOT hear me but I can hear them. I then discover the microphone is only live when in loud speaker mode, it is not a faulty mic as I can speak using it on speakerphone and make recordings.
I have done factory reset, had it to a repair guy who reinstalled all the software and replaced the 'ribbon cable' but the problem remains. Is there a secret 'mute' button that I have missed, is this a button/switch fault, we are totally perplexed.

Aug 21, 2010so what happened was, I got my phone in the mail, I use it for a few hours with occasional texting and my friend calls me, and when I answer, the phone dies. I turn the phone on again to see the battery is dead and it dies again, and before it had 85% battery life left apparently. Now the phone is completely dead, when the charger is plugged in, the red light is on and solid (not flashing or anything), when it is plugged in the computer it is on and solid again, except the computer doesn't see its plugged in.

When I go to Wayfinder - Plan rout - A - My Position: I get this error message as" GPS receiver does not receive signals. Please make sure that nothing is blocking the GPS signal (e.g. a roof, building, etc) and try again. I have tried it out even on ground. But is is not functioning.
