After upgrading to 2.3.3, the system automatically connect both contacts and facebook. However, some use different names in both side, then the system cannot connect them.I cannot find a why to do it manually.
View 4 RepliesI've just upgraded to the Z5. My own number on my contacts list is set at 00 0000000000 and it won't let me edit it to change it! I've worked out how to manually sync contacts profile pics from FB onto my contacts list, but it won't let me do it on my own contact details. (Basically, in text messaging, pics of my contacts are there, but I can't link mine to do the same).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Xperia Z3 and I used to have facebook synced with contacts so I had facebook profile pics on most my contacts. all in all the phonebook looked nice with a pic against a number and a name.

But recently, I've noticed that all these pics have gone missing.Â

When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".

if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperiaâ„¢ with Facebook.

Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.

If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
This worked fine on Z1 and in sync options under xperia with facebook there are two options calendar and contacts...
on Z3 there is only calendar sync no contacts.
I cannot make my contacts sync with facebook.

I have added my facebook accounts and made sure the filters are correctly set, I have synced the facebook account several times manually, but no profile pictures nor any facebook related data is shown in the contacts.
Yesterday, i foolishly unchecked a box on the summary tab when my iPhone was plugged into my PC that said "open iTunes when this iPhone is connected" so now when i plug my iPhone into my laptop NOTHING happens. I have no clue how to manually let my PC/iTunes know that i want it to connect to my iPhone so i can sync. Â
I can't change the setting, because you can only view the setting when the iPhone is connected to iTues, which is what i cannot do right now.

I recently upgraded to Android 2.1 and now I find that I cannot link my contacts to Facebook. The ones that I had linked prior to the upgrade are still there, but no options to link on existing or new contacts. The fact that the FB contact profile pics would be updated on my contact list was one of the reasons I bothered with the upgrade.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently got my xperia x10 and had to almost immediately upgrade to the 2.1 system. I am noticing a few things that I'm not fussy about from the 1.6 system but the thing that is bugging me the most is that I cannot (figure out how to) link contacts in my phonebook to their facebook and twitter accounts. In 1.6, when you edited a contact it gave you the option to click LINK. I cannot find any of this on the new system. As well, for contacts that I had linked before, their facebook profile pic (current from the time when i linked them before upgrading to 2.1) shows up on their contact information (i usually only link facebook, as i dont use twitter as much) and their profile is linked. However when i go into EDIT, it says FACEBOOK, Timescape and a big exclamation mark that has a message beside it saying : Timescape Plug-In Manager contact information is not editable on this device.
i SHOULD be able to edit and link all my contacts. that was the whole purpose of the xperia having this timescape program.
I used SSH to connect to my phone and swap fonts manually. I renamed Helvetica.ttf to HelveticaOLD.ttf and then dropped in the new font whose name was ALSO Helvetica.ttf.However, the system font hasn't changed. I thought It may have not transferred correctly, so I did it again and it still didn't work.So just to be sure I downloaded the font to my desktop from my phone and it shows the correct font in the preview.What am I doing wrong?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a new android user. The problem I'm having is that when my wifi drops out or if I come home the Internet on my phone does not switch back from mobile data to wifi. I'm with bigpond and I have put the password into my phone and I don't need to put the password in each time but when I go to wifi settings it says sign in required and I press connect and the wifi turns on. As soon as I come home or the Internet drops out it switched back to 3G and doesn't connect back to wifi unless I do what I mentioned above.
The advanced setting on the wifi are
Proxy-none
Ip settings DHCP
Signal strength- very strong
Security wpa2 psk
I also have the smart network switch toggled to off. I have reset my telstra router.
I've wasted a lot of my mobile data this week before I realised that when I left the house or the net dropped out my phone was staying on 3G and not switching back to wifi the way my iPhone and every other phone I've owned did.
My partner has a BB Curve 8520 and tried to install an app from bbworld yesterday, the phone restarted and now gets 3/4 of the way across the bar and fails to load anymore, Ive done some research and realised i need to reinstall the os, The problem being we only have one usb lead and i use that to tether internet through my bb torch, Iv downloaded the installation files but whenever i start it 'checks for updates', which i believe means online, it will not go past this step, Is there a way to manually reinstall the os without having to connect to the internet? If i try connecting to the desktop software it recognises my device and pin but says it cant connect so needs to update, and leaves me with the same problem.
