Jan 11, 2016My contacts on the lgg4 are horribly bloated and merging them won't do. I'd love a way to view them and delete them manually with the click of a mouse.

Jun 20, 2012I currently have my iPhone contacts synched with my Macbook Pro address book. I am wondering if there is a way to delete contacts from my phone, while keeping them in the address book of my Macbook? I have many contacts that I would like to keep permanently for future use, but am hoping to clean up the contacts on my actual phone. Each time I delete a contact from the iPhone, the contact is simultaneously deleted from my Macbook address book.

Aug 27, 2010Selling my 3gs on craigslist....its currently jailbroken on 3.1.3....do not want to lose that firmware and from i understand if i try to restore thru itunes, it will automatically retore to 4.0.2 which the buyer doesnt want for obvious reasons. Is my only option to manually delete apps, contacs, remove sim and such? am i still at risk after all that?

Feb 14, 2010I have had my email service set up for a while now, I just went through and deleted a ton of emails on the comptuer and realized that it did not delete them from the phone. No big deal I just did the delete priors on the phone, well it deleted all emails up to a certain date. I did delete prior again and nothing, I tried to manually delete these emails one at a time and they wont go away. They are also not on my email account when you access it through the computer.

Now when i delete my emails on my phone they now delete from my Macbook and the server as well i am using a BTinternet account as i have just sighed up to their broadband. I have never kept emails on my phone and have always deleted after reading but the email as always been left on the Macbook for future reference and on the server this is really a pain i delete on the phone then thinking it's still on my Macbook as normal now its GONE.
I cannot see any setting to stop this annoying thing...

Apr 5, 2012Ok, so when I am in the compose message view I start typing a name to send a message to and the phone shows me all numbers for that contact, even if I deleted that number... for example say my contact Lewis upgrades and gets a new number, I edit his contact, deleting the old number and replacing it with the new. Then when I type LEW into the compose message "to" section it shows all numbers ever stored under that name, if you know what I mean..? I have not selected the "Replace all contacts from this BlackBerry device" yet it still deletes my contacts upon every sync! Sep 26, 2012First, I had to call Simple Mobile because the internet configuration settings they provide online we no good so they message the settings to your phone and all you have to do is save them.Then, today I was trying to access my contacts to add people and it said "Contact service provider for synchronization settings."Then, I called Simple Mobile again and the woman said enter 0000, 1111, 4444, or 1234 and none of those codes worked because she wanted me to reset it to factory settings. She said something about there being no support for that phone and to call Nokia.Then, I called Nokia and luckily the person was nice and it was pretty much the same thing except this time the code was 12345. After I reset it my contacts worked so I thought that problem was finally solved but no because then my internet didn't work so I had to call Simple Mobile again to get it working.After all of that and when I finally thought it was over with now my phone says, "Contacts not available yet. Try again later." I bought this phone thinking it would was the best for the price and on the Simple Mobile website it had it as approved phones for use but now that I have it it's being a pain. I need to view my contacts and be able to add people.I think the problem is is that this phone is supposed to be for T-Mobile and I wish there was a way to turn the synchonization off in Menu>Settings>Sync & backup>Synchronization. I feel so lied to because I thought this phone would work well with my service and I didn't have this problem before I connected it.

I can launch the address book application itself. But, once in the address book application, I can not launch any specific contact to view or update the information. An error message displays:
Uncaught Exception. net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(1073) is not responding; process terminated.
I then have to turn off the device to clear the error message.

Jul 2, 2012i just inherited an iphone 3. when i got it i updated the software, but after the update it wont let me add, view, or edit my contacts. i was going to restore it but it says the contacts are being synced over the air so they wont save to my computer. im afraid if i restore it i will lose all my contacts. is there any way i can stop the over the air syncing? i already turned the wifi syncing off. i just want to make sure i dont lose my contacts. they are saved to my sim card but i cant import the contacts because it also wont let me view the mail, contacts part under settings.

Jul 26, 2010I recently just noticed that 3 of my contacts messages are being stored together when i group messages by contact as well as in the conversation window.The only thing in common with all these contacts is that they all have the same surename because their first names and contact numbers are all different.Is there anyway I can stop this from happening and seperate the messages that have previously been grouped togtether?
