Recently I had to reinstall my rom and only restored my data partition. But now I have the problem that I cant use fingerprints. Seemingly something in the data partition tells him that there should be fingerprints but since he cant find them he gives an error.
i was just wondering if any 1 has figured or created a way to add more than 4 saves of fingers for the fingerprint. times when in cars etc anything is possible or evan to have the finger print or to have the option for a pin code may be?
My contacts on the lgg4 are horribly bloated and merging them won't do. I'd love a way to view them and delete them manually with the click of a mouse.
Selling my 3gs on craigslist....its currently jailbroken on 3.1.3....do not want to lose that firmware and from i understand if i try to restore thru itunes, it will automatically retore to 4.0.2 which the buyer doesnt want for obvious reasons. Is my only option to manually delete apps, contacs, remove sim and such? am i still at risk after all that?
I have had my email service set up for a while now, I just went through and deleted a ton of emails on the comptuer and realized that it did not delete them from the phone. No big deal I just did the delete priors on the phone, well it deleted all emails up to a certain date. I did delete prior again and nothing, I tried to manually delete these emails one at a time and they wont go away. They are also not on my email account when you access it through the computer.
How to set the settings. On my S4, all I had to do was touch the little circular "Sync" icon. I have no such icon on my S6, so must wait for the next scheduled sync, I set it to 15 minutes. It does have a setting to set it to "Manual Sync" only, but I can't find a button or icon to do a manual sync.
Is there a way to manually lock the device instead of waiting for the amount of time you specify in setting to expire? I have the Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to quickly lock it with a key press or something similar. That way I can increase the time before it automatically lock for quicker access. Surely there's a way.
In order to save energy, I told my S2 not to sync mails automatically. That works fine, I can just hit the "update" button. But is there a similar way to sync the calendar (or contacts)?
Maybe I looked the wrong places but it occurs to me I can either have sync on or not--and if I want to sync manually, I have to got to Settings->Accounts & Sync->Choose Account->Sync--that's a bit cumbersome.
I love how the s6 gets extremely bright in direct sunlight with the auto brightness boost, but I wish there was a way to have this boost whenever I wanted.
Google Play Services suddenly started to drain my battery. 100->87%, 18 minutes SOT 2 hours standby.
I found out, that I have an outdated version of Google Play Services and I have tried Google, but can't seem to find a way to manually update it and since it don't update itself, how do I update it?
I'm a new android user. The problem I'm having is that when my wifi drops out or if I come home the Internet on my phone does not switch back from mobile data to wifi. I'm with bigpond and I have put the password into my phone and I don't need to put the password in each time but when I go to wifi settings it says sign in required and I press connect and the wifi turns on. As soon as I come home or the Internet drops out it switched back to 3G and doesn't connect back to wifi unless I do what I mentioned above.
The advanced setting on the wifi are Proxy-none Ip settings DHCP Signal strength- very strong Security wpa2 psk
I also have the smart network switch toggled to off. I have reset my telstra router.
I've wasted a lot of my mobile data this week before I realised that when I left the house or the net dropped out my phone was staying on 3G and not switching back to wifi the way my iPhone and every other phone I've owned did.
My daughter has galaxy tab 2 and the one thing that really bugs me about is that we had to manually shift things to sd card. I thought tab would just do automatically. So got s5 yesterday v excited until i realise has only 16gb storage and we require sd card! Does s5 automatically use sd card or do i have to manually move stuff over? It appears there is alot that wont save to sd card but hoping photos, video etc can be stored there.
So after installing xstrestolite custom rom, Smart Switch on my pc doesnt connect to the phone. Usb storage works just fine, and the pc detects that it is Galaxy s6 connecting, but Smart Switch says "failed to connect to device". Now I do have the backup file in my pc, so could it be possible to move it to my phone and restore it from there? If so, how?
I've a Xperia Z5 with FW final .200 (last one) and I've encountered with a problem with Camera
I've setted fingerprints as lock, with a pin (clearly, for backup).
And it happens that when I need to take a photo rapidly, starting by a black screen (in standby so), through dedicated camera button, I can't modify some settings into Camera, just like modality or resolution or whatever, I can only modifiy Flash or Noflash et similia
I don't understand this choice and I don't respect It too
It's simply crazy to let open camera and we can't modify some settings, just because phone's locked ...
It's better to let modify for taking photos as simplier as possibile, because we can't firstly unlock our phone and then press on our camera button
And I don't think It's for security because I don't think that a thief who moves some settings in Camera can do more damns that He could do
I was wondering if was possible to unlock phone (by standby - black screen) simply doin a soft touch (just accosting our finger, a soft touch on button) rather than touch by a click or long press it to unlock it, pushing it ?
It's also for preserving our power button
I think that accosting our finger sweetly to the sensor fingerprints could be better for our experience and for our HW power button
I have a new brand Xperia Z5 Compact from two days ago.I have configured my mobil with everything I had in my old Xperia P and then I tried to configure some fingerprints to use it as my security method. I realized that it is not working as the wizard process crashes closing before I can introduce my fingerprint. I thought that reinstalling Android through the Sony Companion would solve the issue but it is still happening.
My wife, that has the same phone from the same day, could configure a fingerprint without a problem. Can be a hardware problem that does not allow me to configure the fingerprint?
with all of the complaints about the Xoom being a Fingerprint magnet I thought I would share this info.
The cloth from the Monster Ultimate Performance TV Cleaning Kit works like a charm. I use the cloth dry and it removes all the fingerprints from my Xoom screen.
I was trying to add a fingerprint in the Touch ID of my iPhone 5S and it came up with a pop up saying this finger can't be read try an other one i tried another finger but still the same... Why?
does anyone know of any good screen protector that doesnt leave any fingerprints? and it should also be very clear so it should be as thin as possible.. i dont care how much it costs, as long as it good quality.
I discovered this evening while wiping the screen with a micro-fiber cloth while there was a scrollable list on the screen that my finger touches were registering right through the cloth! So I played with that a little bit and I thought that was sorta clumsy tryingto keep thecloth wrapped around my finger.I wondered if finger touches would register if I was wearing a finger cot.So I tried one and was stunned when it WORKED!!It worked right through the latex or whatever they are made from. You can get them at the drug store. Just ask for finger cots at the pharmacy. If they don't know what they are, some people call them Mexican condoms. No offense intended for any hispanics on the board.Just roll it on your finger as far as is comfortable. All you need is to cover the tip of your finger.
How do I delete pictures I've taken on the camera AND screenshots that I've taken? On the S6. On the S4 you just held down on the photo for a few seconds and were given the option to delete.
I have dowloaded and installed outlook app into my S5. i created the account and then i realized that it consumed a lot of battery. I tried to deleted it but it keeps me saying that i need to deactive it. tried deleted from Play store, from the app administrator but i have did not succeed.
I want to delete all the auto-backed-up photos on my S5 and leave only the photos on device. Followed directions on google support page but I can't find a way to delete all by checking the first one and scrolling through to the last one - no shift key like using a computer to delete all. Turned off auto back-up and unchecked sync, but still can't do a mass delete.
