I just purchased an Xperia Play, and the store I bought it at was unable to transfer my contacts from my old phone (a Blackberry Bold), to my new phone. I have a LOT of contacts, most of them work related, and I tried using PC Companion but I didn't see anything on there about importing contacts.
View 2 RepliesI've been having a problem since before i updated my phone, i've used 3 different USB cables(sony cables-the one i got when i bought it, also, it used to connect before and i can connect other phones so it's not the cables) on 2 different laptops (works with other phone) but all it does is charge and nothing more...it doesn't give me the ''connect your phone'' option. I went into connectivity, changed the connectivity mode, tried pc companion..nothing..my phone is not rooted or anything. i've unmounted and mounted my SD card in another phone and it works so it's not my SD..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got an x10i, 2 days ago, mainly for the huge screen.The problem I have is films only play as tiny thumbnails, about 1 x 1.5 inch.I've transferred by drag and drop and via media to go, even tried setting defaults, but to no avail.I've figured out most things with my phone but not this.It's really infuriating as I've bought a phone for it's big screen only to watch small sized clips.

My Z5 dual is a fantastic phone, very strong, and i like it. But i have a tiny problem, sometime when i enter or use any application it suddenly take me to the store or take me to chrome and give me a fake warning message, i don't have a screen shots now, but i will take a screenshot when it happens to me again. this thing is so annoying and it is like an advrtisment to an app.

Somehow all my contacts have been deleted and I think I forgot to make a backup of the contacts before i went into custom romming... (silly me). But my other sim card has most of my contacts so i inserted my other sim card and now when i go to contacts, and press the options menu, the 'import' option is not highlighted...
How do I import the contacts from my other sim?!
I have xplay R800i with android 2.3.3 build 4.0.A.2.368.The issue I encounter is that almost every time I try to join contacts the application crushes with the error "The applicationContacts (process com.sonyericsson.android.socialphonebook) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." -> Force close ... try again the same thing happens. But sometimes it does work and I've got the feeling that only for some contacts work and for other fails every time.

When I export my contacts list, it creates a VCF file containing (supposed to be) all my contacts but it only has 1 contact (the first in the list). I tried viewing this file using PC Companion and it was confirmed that it only contains 1 contact. I tried transfering (Copy/Paste) this to my PC and opened this in MS Outlook, only 1 contact was opened. I tried the 'Send All Contacts' via bluetooth and it also transfered 1 contact.
