I've a xperia ray running on ICS. I'm having overheating issues. When I'm usuing WiFi tether the phones becomes very hot, it also becomes hot when I'm browsing or using heavy apps. What's the causes for this? is this normal and what is the max operating temp?
View 4 Repliesmy x8 cannot browsing with my WiFi. It can connect to the WiFi, it already obtain IP address, it can open the setting for the router, BUT it can't open any other website.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am facing the problem of overheating every now and then when i use some application and listening songs via music app. Moreover the WIFI connection is also gets dropped and as a result i have to search the wifi conection evry time and somtime even if the wifi conection is swtch on, the handset is unable to detect the wifi network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was looking for a decent, non-root way of tethering my Nexus One's 3G connection. I was going to get PDANET, but i noticed that it was removed from the marketplace. other than that, there are no other ways (that i have found) that i can successfully tether my Nexus One with my iPad. Im not too keen in rooting my Nexus One only because it will void my warranty, but also because i "wont be able to receive OTA updates." Anyone else find a good way to do this without rooting? I personally dont think its fair that my unlocked full priced Nexus One is unable to tether because T-Mobile pressured android into doing so.

My service provider does not like tethering, so I was wondering if when I share the desire's data connection it will use the phone's wifi rather than 3g connection? (obviously in an area where I have access to a wifi access point).

I can connect to the laptop but DHCP doesn't auto assign the laptop an IP address so it cannot access the internet. Tried manually configuring the settings of the wireless card in windows using the same address assigned when connected via USB but it still doesn't work.
It states that subnet mask isn't compatable with ip address.

USb tethering And Wifi Hotspot are not working, a new local connection is made on my laptops, but no browsing is possible and in Win 7 just sets there trying to work out what network location to use.

For $30/mo you get unlimited 4G tethering on your phone which is a bargain compared to the tablet plans especially considering 4G is 10x the 3G speeds.It makes we want to run out now and get a Samsung Charge so I can drop my 3gB Xoom plan. I'm going to stick with my Xoom data for now and hold out a three or four weeks for the Bionic. Hopefully Verizon won't change this offer before the Bionic comes out.

They still show a strong wifi network connection, but cannot access internet sites. Nokia support and my AT&T store say this should not happen and does not happen on their phones. I've E72 for few weeks. In general,I'm satisfied with what I get. A major exception is a strange resets I've almost allways during browsing over WiFi. Browser isn't an issue,it happens with both Nokia browser and Opera. It doesn't happen when I connect with mobile provider GSM. When I run email client over WiFi it works perfectly,well except it restarted once or twice when tried to handle large html messages with big attachments.
Phone OS / firmware is a last version.
I've had a Curve since March and loved it. However this past month I've been having difficulty accessing wifi with it, something that was not an issue for me before. I'm with a data plan that isn't full data. I can only use Twitter/Facebook/IM Services. No email or browsing. When I want to use these things I connect to my home wifi and use that. Worked perfectly for the first few months. However now when I click email or browser on my phone with wifi turned on and it says it's connect to the network I get the following message:You are currently on a service plan that requires a Wi-Fi connection to this this application. If you want to use this application outside WiFi provider please contact your service provider.

First of all, I don't have a BIS plan on my Tmobile but I want to browse using wifi.
I can connect to wifi, but I cannot browse, email or bbm with wifi connected. Also, I don't know where to configure hotspot on the 9900.

While I can browse Internet through wifi (which is interesting cause it loves to freeze), I cannot use BB app world, cause it says my device is not connected to the wireless network. The same thing with FB application. -flight mode on to stop default search on mobile network
-network sharing turned on, because i saw it on another thread, not cuz i think it will change anything but it couldnt hurt
-Intnernet settings; have created bogus account using PS DATA method, however im unsure what this is; yes 4allow local connection; have also tried this using default connection method.
-streaming settings; on default planet 3; yes for local connections
-SIP settings; unsure, left as default., is it worth putting router gateway proxy server?
-wifi settings open ntw, full bars strength, have tried using router gwty in the dns settings with no joy
I brag about how much better the w995 is then then iphone 3 & below, but now with all the frakn effort ive put into trying to set this baby up.im starting to wonder. im inclined to think this is a conflict issue between network settings & wifi, along with the web apps msgr & facebook not being compatible with wifi use, rather then an internet settings issue, as all the other iphone users & andriod users here are rubbing in how easy it is on there phone.
i mean i have 3g net on my xperia mini st15i but i cannot tether and update at the same time is there any other way?

I googled it and there is no solution, it only comes up with overheating from using 4K camera but I never use that, if I play a game for less than 5 minutes and it gets too hot to even hold, or touch. Also, when it starts to get hot the WiFi starts to act up and it says it is still on and connected but I cant use the internet

I am not sure why it keeps having the temperature warning sometimes even I start the camera app sometimes after one or two shots and then it will turn off! It's really annoying. I have Google it everyone mention abt the jellybean version 4.3 is the cause. But I check my phone my version is 4.4. So I assume it's fix right. As a photographer myself the camera function is very important to me!
