View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had a Curve since March and loved it. However this past month I've been having difficulty accessing wifi with it, something that was not an issue for me before. I'm with a data plan that isn't full data. I can only use Twitter/Facebook/IM Services. No email or browsing. When I want to use these things I connect to my home wifi and use that. Worked perfectly for the first few months. However now when I click email or browser on my phone with wifi turned on and it says it's connect to the network I get the following message:You are currently on a service plan that requires a Wi-Fi connection to this this application. If you want to use this application outside WiFi provider please contact your service provider.

I've E72 for few weeks. In general,I'm satisfied with what I get. A major exception is a strange resets I've almost allways during browsing over WiFi. Browser isn't an issue,it happens with both Nokia browser and Opera. It doesn't happen when I connect with mobile provider GSM. When I run email client over WiFi it works perfectly, well except it restarted once or twice when tried to handle large html messages with big attachments.
Phone OS / firmware is a last version.
I've a xperia ray running on ICS. I'm having overheating issues. When I'm usuing WiFi tether the phones becomes very hot, it also becomes hot when I'm browsing or using heavy apps. What's the causes for this? is this normal and what is the max operating temp?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have many problems by every next day I have new BB Bold9900. While I can browse Internet through wifi (which is interesting cause it loves to freeze), I cannot use BB app world, cause it says my device is not connected to the wireless network. The same thing with FB application. I simply cannot connect to Internet although I already am connected, and my phone even shows full signal, network name, etc. Is there any solution which will make it possible to comfortably use BB????
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having Issue browsing web or using web apps on wifi with w995a The following settings have been config'd:
-flight mode on to stop default search on mobile network
-network sharing turned on, because i saw it on another thread, not cuz i think it will change anything but it couldnt hurt
-Intnernet settings; have created bogus account using PS DATA method, however im unsure what this is; yes 4allow local connection; have also tried this using default connection method.
-streaming settings; on default planet 3; yes for local connections
-SIP settings; unsure, left as default., is it worth putting router gateway proxy server?
-wifi settings open ntw, full bars strength, have tried using router gwty in the dns settings with no joy
I brag about how much better the w995 is then then iphone 3 & below, but now with all the frakn effort ive put into trying to set this baby up.im starting to wonder. im inclined to think this is a conflict issue between network settings & wifi, along with the web apps msgr & facebook not being compatible with wifi use, rather then an internet settings issue, as all the other iphone users & andriod users here are rubbing in how easy it is on there phone.
just bought the bb curve 8520 an i am getting nowhere with browsing and bluetooth.do u have 2 be wi-fi service to browse? as other phones ive had i didnt need to be.bluetooth kept coming up failed.i have completed the setup wizard.ive also set up the disk on computer to phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently updated my Curve 3G 9300 from OS5 to OS6 and have read a lot about the common issue that OS6 doesn't give us the flexibility to choose which browser to use. But it seems that my problem is uncommon since I haven't been able to see any solution to it in last 3 days of googeling. My problem is that I'm unable to use internet browser while talking to someone. Everytime I'm on a call and I open my BB broswer it shows ''A voice call is in process. Browsing will not be possible". I was able to use browser while being on a call in OS5 but not in OS6. However, I'm able to use broswer while being on call if using it through WIFI but not with BIS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhilst browsing the internet my "cursor" has suddenly stopped working. My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. I've discovered I can press return when the hand appears and it goes to the link, but this is no use when only the arrow appears.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I just got the new Blackberry Curve 9360 on contract, and I noticed that while I am loading webpages the device gets really warm, mainly the back bottom right corner, near the memory card...when I am finished browsing the internet, and use the phone for texting or BBM the device remains cool. I have googled this but where the device is quite new there is nothing on it, should I try to get a replacement, or is this normal?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry Curve 9300 running v5.0.0.846. The Wi-fi is always greyed out for open Wifi connections at airports, hotels, etc. I did manage to get it to turn white once but that was for a WEP-protected connection where I connected manually. Are there some settings that are incorrect? (e.g. the APN username and password is blank in TCP/IP menu).

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to browse (intranet) websites via VPN connection? I have installed Lotus MC on my N73. Connection itself works fine, I can see correct status, can ping my phone from PC by phone's intranet IP, telnet from phone to intranet server is always ok even by HTTP 80 port, both by hostname and IP. But I cannot get to intranet web using neither standard Nokia browser, nor Opera Mini.
With standard browser, it's just impossible to select VPN access point (present in the list, but not selectable) and Opera Mini allows to select my VPN connection, but all I can see there is an error that server is unavailable.
Is there any way to speed up my browsing? I have a 3rd party BES server. I find surfing the web to be incredibly slow.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am studying in Austria and attempting to use my Blackberry Tour 9630. I have successfully unlocked it and put a new SIM card in it (company is BOB mobile). I can make calls, however when I attempt to use maps, setup email, browse, it won't connect. For maps I get the msg: "Your device is not configured for BIS or BES access" Email setup: "Device had a problem connecting to the server"
I have read that this means my carrier is not recognizing my device, or vice versa?
Just taken delivery of a Torch 9800 , and am trying to browse i'net using Wif-Fi only (NOTE : I'm currently trying to browse internet without SIM.just using Wi-Fi Hotspot at home)I was able to do this, then applied a number of updfates to the handset. Since which time I am unable to browse the internet.
Have removed service books, restarted the device (battery pull) Have removed the hotspot profile , restarted device (battery pull) Totall out of ideas. This device is running OS 6, but I recal lin OS 5 there was the option to force the browser to use hotspots .
