How do I make sure my bb is safe when browsing - generally shopping websites and when I make a payment - how do I know my info is safe? What about emails and keeping my bb virus free generally...what do I need to do?
View 5 RepliesMy Iphone 4 has been synchronizing for 4 hours and seems to be stuck on step 6 of 6 (Downloading Safari safe browsing data). It was taking a very long time before, and I had to stop the syncronization before it was finished. Now all of my music is greyed out. Is this normal?

I have a blackberry curve, and i want it to preform a little bit better, I have like next to nothing on my phone except for the programs I use( facebook, bbm, live, app world) I have a memory cleaner, no languages, no messages or emails more then a day old because I delete them after I read them, anyways even after all of this it still is pretty darn slow, Blackberry app world currently says that I have 7.4 MB free, this is still not enough room for me, I was wondering if there is anything else (delete programs that came with the phone)?

I'm with a data plan that isn't full data. I can only use Twitter/Facebook/IM Services. No email or browsing. When I want to use these things I connect to my home wifi and use that. However now when I click email or browser on my phone with wifi turned on and it says it's connect to the network I get the following message:You are currently on a service plan that requires a Wi-Fi connection to this this application. But it seems that my problem is uncommon since I haven't been able to see any solution to it in last 3 days of googeling.My problem is that I'm unable to use internet browser while talking to someone. Everytime I'm on a call and I open my BB broswer it shows ''A voice call is in process. Browsing will not be possible". I was able to use browser while being on a call in OS5 but not in OS6. However, I'm able to use broswer while being on call if using it through WIFI but not with BIS.

My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. I've not loafded any new apps, I was rebooting after dropping the phone - however i've done this many times before and never had this issue.
I've tried hooking up to my laptop but I've never used it to sync or back up before and because the device isn't actually on it wasn't finding it.
I was downloading an app when a screen message told me to restart to continue installation. I pressed the Off button but now, despite pressing the start button, the phone will not come alive, although it was recently charged. There is just a black screen and the small red light flashes occasionally.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm a BB newbie but recently received one for work. My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) to my new Curve 8330. I took it to my local Sprint store and they said the contacts can't be transferred because the BB is registered on a BES. The Bluetooth connection won't work either, I assume for the same reason.Am I out of luck or is there some other way I can get the contacts into my BB? I have the contacts stored as individual business card files (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter trying 3 days to get my BB 8310 Curve connected to my network provider (I do have a data plan and internet plan) I´m a little bit upset.
The problem: I have all necessary data-plans and also registered my BB on the internet at the Web-Page (BIS?).Ok, my handheld is also recognised and the system doesn´t complain.But: on my handheld I can see only the word "edge" (in small letters - this shows that no data-plan is active as we know, but that´s not true) and not "EDGE" as it should be.An even better suspicicous issue: I called with the hotline from my provider and he also could see within his database that my handheld is registered and all plans were active.
So I tried following:
I inserted my SIM to another BB and it worked! (not so with my BB)
I also inserted another SIM from my colleague (who also uses a BB) and what happened? Nothing - also no connection.
So I assume that there´s somehow a bug in my handheld? Has anybody an idea? I would very appreciate it.

I've updated my desktop to v5.0, but everytime i click the link on the website it tells me i have the current version. i checked under "about" and i have v. 4.5.0.175. HOW DO I GET V5.0? oh and i have verizon if that matters.

It then shortly thereafter is marked "A" for answered, and I receive a response to my message, all which makes sense. But sometimes I've noticed that my message is marked A, as if they've answered me, but I never receive a message back. Does this mean that they answered me and I just never received the message? That they've received my message and ended the conversation?Just wanting to understand why my message would be marked A when it doesn't appear to have been answered. any ideas?
