BB Curve :: Can No Longer Access Internet Browsing After Error Message
Jun 1, 2012
I was browsing a web site through google when the page went blank and the error message came up. "error message - uncaught exception: shared webkit instance unavailable:null." I can no longer access internet browsing on my blackberry as the message just comes up. Interestingly I can still access my facebook and ebay apps just not use google or internet browser.
I have the BB Curve 8520 and until recently I wasn't using my BBM and I never had any issues with the phone. However ever since I started using BBM a few weeks ago, I haven't been able to load a single page on my internet browser. Is anyone facing the same issue? If so how did you fix it?
My Blackberry Curve will no longer let me access the internet or facebook app, it won't let me follow links on my emails and BBM has become very slow, when I try to access the internet or internet based things like facebook or app world it says I need to verify settings.
I keep getting the following message:"The network you are connected to appears to be a hotspot. You may be required to consent to legal terms and/or set up an account to get internet access. Hotspot operators may charge service fees for internet access". However, its a free network that my other devices, such as my playbook connect to without problems. When I click "OK" I get another message that says: "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." I click OK, and it takes my to the BB browser, which of course doesn't work. Its like it wants me to give permission to use the network, but I need to use the network to give the approval.
-WiFi is enabled -Bluetooth is enabled -Other devices including Playbook currently work on the network -Repeatedly gives me the first message above, followed by the second message above
I am new to the forum and have just bought my very first Blackberry, its the 8120 pearl on the Orange uk network. I've had the phone for a week now and just cant get on the internet, when i try to access, say Yahoo, this message come up "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again". My question is is this phone Wi-Fi only or can i connect thru the old way like i used to do on the Nokia's?
I can no longer access the internet from the BlackBerry Browser nor can I send or recieve emails. Facebook opens and is up-to-date. Can't remember my password to log in and check teh email settings and can't recieve a new one when it is requested.
I have a Blackberry 9780 Bold mobile from which I could get access to the internet but after lending it to my son, regretably I can no loger access the internet and I need a bit of assistance, perhaps by a download direct to my phone?
My iPhone 4s is no longer accessing the internet, despite the fact that it is successfully connecting to my home wifi network. It was working up until late last week and seeing the new patch/update (which I downloaded and applied) thought it would fix it, unfortunately it didn't.
I have done a quick search through the regualr channels and googled to problem, and I didn't change anything to do with my network before it stopped working and obviously my computer and interent are still operational.
So I just got the new Blackberry Curve 9360 on contract, and I noticed that while I am loading webpages the device gets really warm, mainly the back bottom right corner, near the memory card...when I am finished browsing the internet, and use the phone for texting or BBM the device remains cool. I have googled this but where the device is quite new there is nothing on it, should I try to get a replacement, or is this normal?
I am using blackberry curve 9320. I used bb internet for 3 months till then I got an awesome downloading speed of 350 kB/sec. But after that the downloading speed becomes very very slow about 9-10 kB/sec.
I was downloading an app when a screen message told me to restart to continue installation. I pressed the Off button but now, despite pressing the start button, the phone will not come alive, although it was recently charged. There is just a black screen and the small red light flashes occasionally.
how to manually install internet browsing settings on my 8520 curve? my operator bsnl has sent me the settings as bsnlwap but i cannot browse the internet.
On Sunday I got a Blackberry Curve 8520 and I loveeee it, except for one problem: I cant browse the internet nor do anything internet related.I have unlimited web and I am able to connect to wi-fi @ my house (uma signal is showing and very strong)When I open the browser, I get error unknown your homepage is temporarily unavailable. please try later.
If I attempt to access any website, then I get subscription upgrade require or subscription upsell required. What's the deal?I do not have the data plan for BB, but I do have unlimited web, if that means anything. Regardless, I should still be able to connect via wi-fi...
I am a first time blacberry user and i thought everything was going great, u know it takes a few days to access all the new gadget's on your phone. Well i have had my phone for months and not one time have i been able to access my app world from my phone i continually receive and error message after i input my log in information in. It is a complete waste of my monthly charges not being able to have full access to my phone.
I bought my blackberry off ebay. my servie provider is o2. Ive went to host routing table which is empty ive hit register now. it says a messgae has been sent but i do not get a reply. gprs in lower case appears in top right hand corner.
one weak back i bought ma new blackberry curve mobile. how can i access internet. like other phones depends n GPRS so blackberry depends on which software.
Torch 9850OS 7.0.0 When someone calls me and I'm on the internet, my phone just rings on their end and it doesn't show anything on mine. Then I'll get a voicemail notification from whoever just called.I have never had this issue before with a BB and I've had 6.
I can't access the internet at home....or at church.
At home I have Bell and a DLink network. DLink shows up as a network to connect to, but I've put in every password I've ever used and it always says "Failed to authenicate against the network". Then I tried accessing my church connection last night while I was there. The password was confirmed by another church member, so I know it should work but the same thing happened.
I can't access mobile internet, but can access internet over wifi. What is going on? Do I need something called a Blackberry data plan? AND Why do I need to pay extra for this, if I pay £5 a month, do I get unlimited access for the cost? Or will I incur further browsing charges? i don't know why they do this, as it is no more superior to any other phones browser!
I got my Curve 9300 three weeks back. As soon as it was registered, I was prompted 2 upgrade the OS - which I did and subscribed 2 BB Protect. A friend sent me an MMS but I cannot view it as my settings r wrong. I cannot access internet most of the time, but can always access BBerry site.
A month ago my bbm ran out, they sent me a few texts saying we have tried and failed to take £5 for bbm (vodafone) i was then opted out of Blackberry services. Two days ago, i topped up £15 pounds rang them up and opted back in. They took my £5 and left me stranded, i cant access bbm or internet, when i login to blackberrys mobile site i get a pop up saying this "Your blackberry R internet service account is suspended or de-activated please contact 191" bla bla bla. Well i done that and they said they can't do anything about it. I followed the steps on vodafones troubleshooting i.e regerstering host etc* all failed .
I bought my blackberry 8530 yesterday. I used the internet in a pub on WI-FI, but when I left the pub and tried to access the internet I can't. When I open the browser and type an address, it just says that I should be in a WI-FI zone and to check this, or something along those lines. How do I get onto the Internet without using WI-FI??? I am on a 30 day rolling contract with Orange who give me 500MB of internet as part of my bundle.
