My Iphone 4 has been synchronizing for 4 hours and seems to be stuck on step 6 of 6 (Downloading Safari safe browsing data). It was taking a very long time before, and I had to stop the syncronization before it was finished. Now all of my music is greyed out. Is this normal?

I left it in the back of a cab and despite all my effort to relocate it, it appears it's gone for good.I had AT&T deactivate it 20 mins after I lost it. I also had the passcode feature active. AT&T has assured me that the combination of the two will pretty much render the phone a paper weight unless whoever found the phone restores it. I've never had to restore the phone, so one question I have is could whoever has my phone gain access to my data after restoring it? Like will iTunes back up the data for them and then allow them to download it again to the phone?Is my data safe? I work for a media organization and I had some very sensitive and valuable data on that phone. The kind of data I could lose my job over if a third party were to somehow access it. Not to mention the countless phone numbers and the huge log of text messages that contained sensitive personal information. Also, please spare me the ridicule of asking why I had so much important information on the phone.I've spent the last week beating myself up over it, and needless to say have learned my lesson. Trust me when I say I"ve punished myself enough over this.After an initial search, it appears there are illicit ways to hack the phone and get around the passcode, however my understanding of the subject is limited, and my question boils down to: can someone access the data on my phone?I"m merely looking for peace of mind here.

I first noticed that my menu button wasn't working, so i switched it off and on again, it turned on in safe mode (still with the menu button still not working) with all of my downloaded apps greyed out. I thought it might have been an app acting up so i uninstalled them all. Alas no luck, now even if i am to download an app, and install it it doesn't even appear anywhere on my phone.

I've read various topics and threads and even tried safe mode to no avail. I'm stuck on the reboot screen with the white progress bar around 70%
I've not loafded any new apps, I was rebooting after dropping the phone - however i've done this many times before and never had this issue.
I've tried hooking up to my laptop but I've never used it to sync or back up before and because the device isn't actually on it wasn't finding it.
I picked up my phone three days ago to find it had turned itself off, it had only been in my bag and then next to me on the floor. I turned it on to find that it turned on in safe mode. I took out the battery to reboot it in normal mode, and from then on none of the keypad buttons work. It is also still in safe mode. The touchscreen does work, but nothing else. I have taken out the battery multiple times to try and fix it but it doesn't work.

I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.

I'm having lots of trouble with my Xperia x10 mini pro. It is somehow stuck in a reset loop, it starts in safe mode, is locked and won't allow me to press any buttons at all. Once it is turned on i have to remove the battery to turn it off. My warranty has run out for this phone now but I do like it and don't currently have the money to get a new one really.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a 2 gb per month data plan, and never used more than ~500 mb. a few days ago i all of a sudden started getting notices that i was approaching my data limit. after some digging i found out i had apparently used 445 mb on 5/13 and 929 mb on 5/12. i have no idea what it was. i did play the iphone game hunters2 and stream some music for a while using the rixfm swedish radio app, but the game is not online and the radio was only for maybe an hour total. i watch the occasional Internet video but never video chat or download movies.
