I've updated to the latest baseband and main firmware and have tried a software repair but if I leave the phone on WDCMA (preferred)/GSM and leave it in work bag I find that when I check later Time Without Signal goes to 70% or more, GSM is better than 3G round here but what is going on, if I fix it to one or the other the figure is much less.
View 9 RepliesI am an avid sony fan and I really love my xperia z2 except that I can't use the phone for its main purpose: to text or call or contact someone. It often says 'no service' if not 'emergency calls only'. On the first week, it's not that worst but now almost anywhere I can't contact, except when.in very high open places. My friends have signal bars whereas I have none. I tried changing sim and even factory data reset (as told by the shop) but I don't think my problem was solved.

Iv got blackberry 8520 with vodaphone. It suddenly has stopped getting signal most of the time in the house. I know its not sim as sim works fine in other handsets and no prob with handset and service provider say its a blackberry problem so won't help. Iv looked under manage connections and doesn't appear to be option for changing to 3g as service provider suggested.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI work out in the middle of nowhere quite often, where phone signal is either very weak, or non-existent. (I am with Orange BTW). The problem seems to be that when I have been out of signal range for a while, (shortest period so far about 30 mins), and I come back into range, my BB doesn't automatically pick the signal up. The only way that I know to re-gain the signal, is to turn the phone off (red button not battery re-boot!) and back on again. The phone then finds the signal and everything is normal again......that is until I go out of range again! Is there a shortcut to re capture the mobile signal rather than off/on?

I have this problem since the beginning. the phone freezes and restarts time b time when i am using it or sometimes even when i press the unlock key to use it the screen shows up and freezes then restart. most of the time it restarts when its on charging and the battery is above 90% and it always restarts when i use it after the battery is fully recharged. Now yesterday it restarted around 15 times and its becoming pain you know. I have it on the kitkat software didn't update to lolipop. I am not using simcard and i also tried using without sd card.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy xperia x10 keeps dropping the signal very frequently. It happens mostly within 3-4 seconds of picking a call. On the notification bar, the signal goes from full to zero, it shows the no sim card symbol for a moment, and then the signal reappears. Another problem is when I call someone, the screen goes blue. I can't cut the call or see whats happening, though the call does go through. I factory reset the phone, and then restored it back again. The problem went away for a day, but has started again now.

My phone constanly loses signal yet when i search or start using the phone even when I haven't moved from where I've been standing or sat for the last hour or so the phone suddenly jumps to 2 or 3 bars on the signal icon! How can that be if I'm stationary it goes from nothing to 2 or 3 bars?? I have found that there seems to be no correlation between the signal strength (in dBm / asu) in Settings -> About phone -> Status and the signal bars that are shown. Often the signal bars will shoot from 1 to 5 or 6 even with really low signal ( ~97 to > 100 dBm) that doesn't fluctuate.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI mean the signal recieved by Z2 is very poor, I have to be very close to the router in order to get a good signal. When I get far from router - 4or5 meters - the signal becomes poor . I don't loose the signal but it becomes so poor. In comparison my wife had a samsung phone but the signal on her phone still strong. She even can access other WIFI signals using her phone, while I can't cause my phone doesen't even see the WIFI signals. Is there any method or any update to solve this?
