After I upgraded my neo V with latest android 4.0 ICS,the phone dosen't show signal and is mostly showing Emergency Calls only...I think the upgrade has some bugs because until I was on 2.3.4 it worked and showed signal and I could make and receive calls.I also tried other sim cards but the result was same.
I am an avid sony fan and I really love my xperia z2 except that I can't use the phone for its main purpose: to text or call or contact someone. It often says 'no service' if not 'emergency calls only'. On the first week, it's not that worst but now almost anywhere I can't contact, except when.in very high open places. My friends have signal bars whereas I have none. I tried changing sim and even factory data reset (as told by the shop) but I don't think my problem was solved.
I have my phone for 5 months. Never have i encountered this problem, probably few times but a little restarting fixes it. I'm not having signal at all.. It would say "No service" when you swipe down and check the status. The status symbol is a right triangle only without any bars.Im using the same sim card for 3 years. I tried inserting my sim card on different phone and it works on that other phone(nokia asha 210). Im not able to make/receive calls or text and get mobile data, not even our local emergeny number. When trying to make an outgoing call, it says "mobile network not available". Tried every possible setting changes on Settings>Mobile Networks. Chose different APN and network type. Deleted APN and recreating manually. Went to safe mode and ultra stamina mode, just to see if an app is doing this still no. Finally i master resetted the phone. Still not working.
Since i had to re format my phone after the stamina mode problem every time i lock screen and say put phone down or pocket it seems to lose its signal. I know its not the area as the moment i click to call someone all the bars re appear.
1) Wi-fi issue: Wi-fi signal strength is weaker then other phone like HTC wildfire S, i am having another phone wildfire s and in the same room the signals of wifi of HTC is good and in neo v signal is too low/poor which results connection is lost time to time , to resolve the issue i've to delete/forget the connection again n again.
2) Its light sensor is too sensitive , in dim lights its brightness is too low while in gud background lights its brightness is gud. Please provide any solution to switch off that sensor.
Recently, I began to have this problem where the phone is showing full signal but the phone is actually not receiving any signal. So calls will not come in at all.
Well i have a problem with my nokia 5530 Xpressmusic , today i put it to recharge and when it was finished the i couldn't unblock the phone , so i restart it and then it goes mad , the phone signal is off and i cannot access some part of the phone like settings and other stuff , and after some minutes he freezes and i cannot do anything so i have to restart it again .I don't know exactly the problem but this is what is happening , what can i do? please help because i need very much the phone i don't have other one and i expect some calls ... but if the phone doesn't work i can't do anything ... please tell me that is an solution for this ...
I live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
What do these Icons represent or mean, and the meaning when they change Colors from White to Blue (Status Icons). There was a GB 2.3.4 User Manual Posted on Moto's site, Unfortunately no information was included about these Items. What does it mean when all three are blue, Including the H+ icon having arrows beneath it at the same time? Is it also Possible to have the Intro Video Posted or embedded to this thread as well please.
My 1020 has started losing its GSM signal for no reason. Its done it twice now in 4 days. I havent had 8.1 DP on it, so its been on 8.0 Black the whole time.
When I go to make a phone call, I just get the familiar "beep Beep Beep" when it hasnt connected.. when I try to call my phone from a land line, it goes straight to voicemail, yet it still says "O2-UK" on the phone tile, still says 4G with all bars in the top left.
Yet as soon as I re-boot the phone.. its working as normal. I use my phone for my business so I cant have it doing this.
Ive removed and re-seated the Sim Card, could this be a faulty Sim or even worse a faulty phone
I have a S5 SM-G900F and since the last update 5.0 my phone keeps forgetting its a phone. When I try to make a call I am told that there is no service also I can not receive calls and the is no phone signal indicator at the top. If I restart my phone the signal indicator reappears and I can make a call with out a problem. Then at some point it will lose the signal indicator again and I can not receive calls or send them. After the phone has been restarted I get flooded with all the texts or missed calls I have had, one of these was an important call from my doctor
I've updated to the latest baseband and main firmware and have tried a software repair but if I leave the phone on WDCMA (preferred)/GSM and leave it in work bag I find that when I check later Time Without Signal goes to 70% or more, GSM is better than 3G round here but what is going on, if I fix it to one or the other the figure is much less.
I purchased an unlocked Sony Xperia Z3 yesterday. I placed my sim in it but the phone keeps saying that there is no service and there is currently no bars. When I try to call it says I am in flight mode even though it is off. I had a friend who had this problem but it fixed itself.
In my z2 few days ago 3g signal not working , no sim failures it works well in another phones at some times cant dial a call also . I reset phone Rapire system using pc companion nothing change problem same as befor if i on the internet conection dosen't connect to internet
My xperia x10 keeps dropping the signal very frequently. It happens mostly within 3-4 seconds of picking a call. On the notification bar, the signal goes from full to zero, it shows the no sim card symbol for a moment, and then the signal reappears. Another problem is when I call someone, the screen goes blue. I can't cut the call or see whats happening, though the call does go through. I factory reset the phone, and then restored it back again. The problem went away for a day, but has started again now.
i managed to lock myself out of my x10 with the pattern lock i have now sorted that by downloading new update for the phone but since then i have a red cross next to my signal bar no matter where i go i have no signal.
I've had my X10 for about 6 months and about a month ago my WiFi stopped working. At first it was just at home, it wouldn't see the connection. My laptop would connect fine, as would other peoples phones. And now, it doesn't pick up WiFi at all.
I updated my Xperia X10 to 2.1 from 1.6 today and had to do a repair on my phone as the gmail account wouldn't take my password - in the process of repairing it, the system also updated it to the latest software
I'm on o2 uk, I have an xperia Ray with a new sim. My phone constanly loses signal yet when i search or start using the phone even when I haven't moved from where I've been standing or sat for the last hour or so the phone suddenly jumps to 2 or 3 bars on the signal icon! How can that be if I'm stationary it goes from nothing to 2 or 3 bars?? Also my family who are on the same network but have iphones & blackberry don't have this problem, always have strong signals as we live in a good signal strength area but I'm the only one who can't get a signal. If I go to work other people can use their phones-also on o2 but I get nothing! I get texts hours & days after they're sent to me, calls get sent to voicemail as I have no service, o2 sent me a new phone so it's not the phone, it's a new sim, I've tried going on gsm only, rebooting, turning off the radio etc etc but I'm no better off, I'm at my witts end & ready to switch to another brand phone.
Anyone else experience this? I did th sotware upgrade and a few hours later this happened. I tried manually connecting to the network and it wont. T-mobile asked me to send the phone back but there is a major scratch on the screen so they told me my return warranty was void now.So far I have a $400 paper weight. Anyone fix this issue?
I've had this twice now where I couldn't get a GPS signal. This never happened on my Droid 1, but has happened twice in less than 30 days (two different phones - since I replaced the first one when this happened). This has been in 2 completely different locations.
I was wondering if anyone knows what algorithm is used for the signal bars on the Photon 4G. I have found that there seems to be no correlation between the signal strength (in dBm / asu) in Settings -> About phone -> Status and the signal bars that are shown. Often the signal bars will shoot from 1 to 5 or 6 even with really low signal ( ~97 to > 100 dBm) that doesn't fluctuate.
Unless I switch over to EDGE.A couple of days ago I had my old 3GS swapped out by Apple because the wireless radio wasn't working properly - I was in San Diego with some family members who all have 3GS's and their phones worked great and mine had no service. When I returned home to Glendale, CA, I had the phone switched out at the local Apple store, only to find that my network connection was now, all of a sudden, spotty at best.
I talked to ATT in one phone call and they told me (although I had to beat it out of them) that there was some tower work going on in my area but with no ETA as to when it might be done. I called back again later that day to try and get a better answer but no dice - just ambiguous nonsense from the guy on the other end. What's the best option here? Just wait it out for a week on EDGE and see if the problem fixes itself?
I lost my phone, Vodafone blocked it for me - i then found it and they unblocked it Yet i still have no phone signal - it says Vodafone UK, but no signal bars, i cannot send/receive texts or call.s
