View 3 RepliesMy wife's phone is constantly dropping calls. I compared the signal test between her Atrix and mine and hers is weaker. We even have the At&t Micro cell and she drops calls. Do I take her phone to the At&t store? We haven't had the phones for 90 days.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a new n86 a few days ago but I found that the signal recertion is really very very low in some places compared to a nokia n70.At the time an n70 (or many other phones) has 7 bars , an n86 has NO bars (out of network coverage)That's a very frustrating problem, Can this problem be fixed? Is this a hardware or a software issue? Can the Nokia care find a solution to this problem?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to the N97 a couple of months ago and have become more and more frustrated with the very weak phone signal I get with this handset, with calls often dropping out. I am on the latest software version etc.Now I have searched through the other discussions on this site and have found a stack of discussions about others who have experienced / are experiencing the same problem. What I would like to know is does anyone know if there is a fix or solution for this yet?I really don't think I can manage another 12 months or so before I my next upgrade, and my provider won't do anything for me.

I bought a Torch one week ago. Unfortunately, I will return it due to a weak signal. I had a Tour before and although I live in a rural area, my Tour rarely dropped a call and the internet worked well even with only 1 or 2 bars. When I brought home my new Torch I was pleased at frequently SEEING 2 or 3 bars AND usually seeing 3G. Then, when I started using the phone, what a far cry the reality was from bars. Even my carrier advised me to get the Bold because a customer had already called reporting a weak signal with her nrw Torch and would be returning it. I have since searched on the internet and found others with the same issue. The only conclusion I can come to is the coverage signal strength reported is incorrect. Related to a weak signal is having less than 5 hours battery with no use, just having the phone on. I have turned off the GPS tp stop the battery drain but see no improvement.I would also comment on a less than clear sound quality as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPerhaps its a coincidence but I recently updated my iPhone to 3.1.3 and now that I'm in the office, I'm losing 3G access. I've always had a weak 3G signal in some parts of my office but it seems pretty consistent that if I put my iPhone in my pocket and then later go to use it. I'll not have 3G but rather edge.Anyone else every hear of this issue - losing 3G connectivity suddenly when it was not a problem before?
Is it related to the patch? I tried searching both here and google and I've not come up with anything that indicates this.
my phone is connecting with my wifi well without any problems but sometimes the signal shows only one bar, even when I am sitting with the phone in the next room, I compared it with my brothers HTC desire s when he came down today and his phone was showing full signal!
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone notice that 4g has a weak signal sometimes. When I'm on 4g my dbm will be -42 to -89 and it will only show 2 or3 bars of signal and if I switch to 3g it stays full bars it wont drop a bar with the same dbm. Like right now I have -75dbm of 4g and it fluctuates from 2 bars to full signal but it wont stay full long but if I switch to 3g with the same dbm sitting in the same spot it shows full 3g all the time and don't drop a bar. Is 4g just a weaker signal than 3g. I believe I'm on the same tower cause the dbm stays the same. It does this everywhere.
View 13 Replies View RelatedThree weeks ago, I received a Bold 9000 which was accidentally placed in the washing machine (along with a blanket) a few days before. Before the phone was given to me, it was dried and in working order. Up until the past couple of days, I've been using the phone without any problems. Now, the phone does a horrible job with picking up my carrier's signal. When I'm indoors, I would get no reception at all ("No Service") when I would get reception using any other handset. When I'm outdoors, I would get either "No Service" or 1 bar of reception. Once in a blue moon, I will get full reception, but that does not last long. I've tried reinserting my SIM and turning the handset on and off, but nothing would fix the reception issue. The water damage sticker (visible after removing the battery) is red.Even though it was a gift (it was decided that the phone would be a gift BEFORE accidentally placing the phone in the washer), I'd still like to continue using my BlackBerry.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the Photon because of the raving reviews of signal strength. I'm finding that the signal is weaker and tends to roam more than my Palm pre. Is this normal for a PHOTON? I would rarely roam at work before but find the photon signal roams alot. Is there a setting or something I can do? Maybe a bad phone? My home signal also tends to wildely fluctuate between one bar and five bars.
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect to my Home network using wifi, the signal is very weak unless I am within 5 feet of my router. I am using a valet router with up to date software. Other people in my house have other droid models and no problem with their signal strength. I have tried other routers and I get the same result so I know it isn't just my router.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is sort of an addendum to my discussion topic below - "Razr Reception in weak-signal areas." I've noticed that in a couple of places in the house and the far corners of our farm where the phone signal is sometimes spotty, I can always, ALWAYS get a good, solid, strong voice when I put it on speaker. If I turn speaker off and hold it up near my ear - even an inch or two away, I lose the connection instantly. Just a data point.

My SD is now full and I want to change it to a new SD card of 64GB but if I plug the SD to the computer I cannot copy the files so I cannot transfer the files to the new card. Additionally I am unable to do a backup of my cellphone from my PC.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter I upgraded my neo V with latest android 4.0 ICS,the phone dosen't show signal and is mostly showing Emergency Calls only...I think the upgrade has some bugs because until I was on 2.3.4 it worked and showed signal and I could make and receive calls.I also tried other sim cards but the result was same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedStrange thing today - I was playng golf and trying to run a golf GPS app that required 3G. The app wasn't working. I noticed that, instead of the 3G icon in the notification bar, there was only a little circle. I know what that means - I am not getting a strong enough 3G signal. I guess that's why the golf GPS app wasn't working. That's not what was strange . . .
What was strange was, I couldn't make any phone calls with my iPhone. I don't think there is any relationship between the strength of my 3G Internet service connection, and the ability of the phone to make a phone call. As I recall, the ascending bars (which indicate strength of phone signal, as I understand it) were OK.
Since upgrading to Gingerbread, I've noticed the following behavior in the notification bar. Sometimes the cellular signal icon, the 3G icon, and the wifi signal icon are blue in color; other times they are white. Do these changes in color mean anything?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone is always changing the signal quality on it. The top of the information area will turn from green to grey to nothing over and over again. If i place or receive a call within a few minutes it drops with no record of the call. The internet is the same i will have 4g service and then it will crawl. I have to keep the phone still to maintain the signal. if i even move my hand the signal is gone.I know it is not sprint cause my wife has a diffent phone and it works perfectly she is chatting away on it all day never had a signal issue. went the spint salesman and he didnt understand why it was doing that. It dropped a call right in the store.I am on the sprint network, I have updated my profile and all the updates are complete. All the salesman suggested is that I do a factory reset and lose everything on the phone. I dont want to lose some games i paid for. If i have to do the reset is there a way to backup my games and how would i reteive them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am an avid sony fan and I really love my xperia z2 except that I can't use the phone for its main purpose: to text or call or contact someone. It often says 'no service' if not 'emergency calls only'. On the first week, it's not that worst but now almost anywhere I can't contact, except when.in very high open places. My friends have signal bars whereas I have none. I tried changing sim and even factory data reset (as told by the shop) but I don't think my problem was solved.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have my phone for 5 months. Never have i encountered this problem, probably few times but a little restarting fixes it. I'm not having signal at all.. It would say "No service" when you swipe down and check the status. The status symbol is a right triangle only without any bars.Im using the same sim card for 3 years. I tried inserting my sim card on different phone and it works on that other phone(nokia asha 210). Im not able to make/receive calls or text and get mobile data, not even our local emergeny number. When trying to make an outgoing call, it says "mobile network not available". Tried every possible setting changes on Settings>Mobile Networks. Chose different APN and network type. Deleted APN and recreating manually. Went to safe mode and ultra stamina mode, just to see if an app is doing this still no. Finally i master resetted the phone. Still not working.

1) Wi-fi issue: Wi-fi signal strength is weaker then other phone like HTC wildfire S, i am having another phone wildfire s and in the same room the signals of wifi of HTC is good and in neo v signal is too low/poor which results connection is lost time to time , to resolve the issue i've to delete/forget the connection again n again.
2) Its light sensor is too sensitive , in dim lights its brightness is too low while in gud background lights its brightness is gud. Please provide any solution to switch off that sensor.
Recently, I began to have this problem where the phone is showing full signal but the phone is actually not receiving any signal. So calls will not come in at all.
