I press the power button or double tap the screen, and, in about 3-5 seconds, the phone's screen closes again. It's to the point where I have no time to put in my passcode without the screen closing. Thus, I can't restart the phone either because the screen closes.
View 9 Repliesi will be browsing / using apps / unlocking my phone and the screen will just crap out and turn itself off. a little red light seems to appear at the top of the phone, which i'm not sure what that means, but it keeps doing that. i've turned the phone on and off a few times this morning, taken the battery out and let it sit for a minute before putting it back in and rebooting and it still does it.

Although it is fairly new - a month old - it has been giving problems: a loose screen, a battery bug (maybe?) and the phone shutting down after every charge. Firstly, I am certain that the screen is locked in place and is not able to fidgit when force is applied. Since last week, I've realised that the bottom of the screen, where the capacitive buttons are, is shaky. It is not visible, but you can literally feel the screen moving from left to right - this isn't normal, right? I've had my Triumph since last August. Actually it's my 4th one. Starting just a few minutes ago, it started shutting down, rebooting, and before it's completely up (lock screen is shown, but 3G service indicator isn't shown yet or my weather bug notification at the top of the screen) it shuts down again and goes thru another boot cycle. It doesn't stay booted long enough to do anything, including a factory reset. Because of it's age, I doubt there is any warranty is there?

5.5.893 Lost connectivity. I could not get Wi-Fi or 4G. I have been doing restarts instead of battery pulls and that has been working until today. It totally locked up on the Power Off Shutting Down screen. I tried to force it off by pushing the power, up/down volume buttons and nothing happened. That may not be the correct procedure, I only find that to be a starting procedure after shutdown. I pulled the battery and it restarted fine. I also had missed a call while it was locked up because I had a voicemail after restart. I have been thinking of getting the RAZR only because it is slimmer. Am I comparing apples to oranges? What would I have to do if I couldn't pull the battery?

The message displayed says something along the lines of 'phone is about to shut down due to high temperature'.. I am aware that I will have to update my software, but before I do that I need to transfer precious data from my phone to my computer, which I cannot seem to do as the device shuts down the immediate moment the PC Companion recognizes it. I am losing my mind, I really don't want to lose my data, mostly my pictures, i.e personal memories.
How to solve this, i.e backup files before updating the software? There must be some way since the device DOES turn on, it just doesn't stay that way for a long time...

My Z3 has been shutting down automatically. At first I was still able to turn it back on, but then would shut down within 5 min.
Afterwards, it would only be turned on a few seconds while charging. Now it wouldnt even turn on.
I've exposed my Z3 to water (warm) earlier but I am not sure if that is the issue since it still worked after.
I have a problem when answering incomming calls I get a message, android system due to unknow reason stopped responding, force system shut down and button "OK"
It is not "OK" to have my phone restaring few times each day, it is quite new like 2 months old and I am worried, if it keeps breaking now what will happen later on

View 7 Replies View RelatedIt started off when my phone would just restart once or twice a day, then it started restarting about 5 times in a row. A lot of people I asked said it could be malware, so I deleted a few of my apps that could have infected my phone, but it still kept restarting. It eventually got worse - I should mention I use two batteries for my phone - when one battery is in my phone it just shuts down and I have to remove the battery and put it back in before I turn it back on. The other battery (the original one that came with my phone) won't turn on - it'll show the first LG screen then shut down, and it just keeps doing that, unless i have it plugged into the charger. When its on the charger it will work fine, and for a few minutes after I unplug it, it will work fine, but then it will still shut down. I ended up resetting my phone to factory settings, but the problem hasn't changed.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOver the last 24 hours my Curve 8520 keeps randomly shutting itself off. I am also e problems experiencing with emails, social media updates and web browsing. I have had the handset for nearly three months. Emails, are not displaying properly, unable to web browse, delay in receiving Twitter updates and Facebook updates. Facebook won't refresh and Twitter is behaving nonsensically.
I have contacted Vodafone phone, firstly they advised me that it could be the sim card and and a new sim would be dispatched and they also advised me to reset the phone ( by taking the battery out) and refresh my mobile network which I did. However, problem still continued. I contacted them again and they carried out diagnostics at their end and advised me that it was the handset and I should send it off for repair. Which I will do but just wanted to hear other users thoughts/advice on what the problem could be. It is so odd that it has started to act up in the last 24 hours.
This has been happening a lot lately. My phone will be fully charged then all of a sudden it shuts off and if it turns back on, it shows the battery is just about dead. It is not a battery issue as I just purchased a new one, I have had this phone for about a year now and it just started happening.
