my xperia ray phone keeps shutting down and restarting then shut downs again its not running and reaching its full start up. i can't access anything. when connecting it to my pc it asks to insert a memory card. is my phone memory damaged?

This has happened to me like 4 times in 2 days, the only new thing i've added to my phone is an update that was found by the pc companion but i don't know if it has anything to do with that.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor the past two days my XPERIA Z2 has been constantly shutting down after just a minute or two of using the device. The message displayed says something along the lines of 'phone is about to shut down due to high temperature'.. I am aware that I will have to update my software, but before I do that I need to transfer precious data from my phone to my computer, which I cannot seem to do as the device shuts down the immediate moment the PC Companion recognizes it. I am losing my mind, I really don't want to lose my data, mostly my pictures, i.e personal memories.
How to solve this, i.e backup files before updating the software? There must be some way since the device DOES turn on, it just doesn't stay that way for a long time...

No success so far.
My Z3 has been shutting down automatically. At first I was still able to turn it back on, but then would shut down within 5 min.
Afterwards, it would only be turned on a few seconds while charging. Now it wouldnt even turn on.
I've exposed my Z3 to water (warm) earlier but I am not sure if that is the issue since it still worked after.
I have a problem when answering incomming calls I get a message, android system due to unknow reason stopped responding, force system shut down and button "OK"
It is not "OK" to have my phone restaring few times each day, it is quite new like 2 months old and I am worried, if it keeps breaking now what will happen later on

Replacing a new SIM card might be a solution, but I think this may also be a cause of a defective device since the same SIM card still worked perfectly in another phone. This is my second Sony phone and I will not have a third with any reason.
Other major issue that I also had was the phone was automatically reset and erased all data (including external SD). I also researched and they blamed this might be due to someone logged into google account and triggered it. All right, this can be just an explanation, but since this is a very serious issue since the device could hold all types of data that are very critical to users.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated my brother phone to ics from 2 weeks ago and since then the phone got so laggy and slow the phone got 5-6 sec to open and it restart on its own alot. So I did a master rest and deleted everything on the phone or sd card. The phone got better and faster but again it did restart on its own even without doing heavy function on it. So I moved on and did a software repair from the pc companion .. but still the phone restart and just freeze on its own.
