Jul 11, 2011I've just purchase the X10 mini pro. Really impressed with it so far. However, when i try and open 'Office Suite' which was pre-installed on the phone it tells me there is an update availalbe and to continue i need to download this. When i select the 'update' button, the process begins but after a few seconds i get an error message saying 'installation failed'. I've had no problems opening any of the other pre-installed apps, and have downloaded some from Android Market with no problems.

Nov 1, 2010I installed android 2.1 today but for some reason I can't restore my contacts.I followed the instructions on the sony ericsson webpage and used the SE backup software to make a backup of my contacts, mms, photos etc.When I restored everything after the update everything was restored except my contacts. How can I get my contacts back? Is there some way to extract them manually from the backup file or something? The backup software can't seem to restore them for me...

I backed up my contacts, messages, call logs everything.When the phone was updated and I restored everything contacts are missing all the rest are there.A little background to know. For some reason Xperia X10 cannot read my SIM contacts from the day I bought it when we were on 1.6 so I decided to create an CSV file to add them to the mobile memory not to the SIM.So now what? Nov 22, 2010Today I went to update my X10. While at work it wouldn't allow me to as it insisted I connected it to a computer. So at home I got the USB cabled hooked up to my Linux Laptop and then discovered it had to be a windows computer.Anyway, I got it hooked to a Windows computer and the update process began. I followed every instruction and set all tickboxes for backup.After unplugging this and plugging it back in and rebooting here and there, it finally reached the restore process.I left it restoring for a while. When I came back to it, it said something had crashed. I don't know what as I'd just woken from a nap.But, it seems all my applications are restored. Yet my gmail account & Facebook account have become disassociated from my phone and all my contacts no longer have any names or pictures. I opened the contacts/phone book and the list is completely empty. tried to import contacts but it says it cannot find any anywhere.

It takes 4 to 8 seconds depending on phone congestion to open it i.e. when you hit the phone icon on menu first appers a black screen and than only few minutes after you can call someone. It is a bit uncomfortable when you try call someone, especially if it is urgent, your phone's primary function doesn't work fast. And phone's physical qwerty keyboard changed to azerty.

I have been hearing that you can use Vcard, but unfotunatelly this phone has no export function. Ovi Suite doesn't help and just plugging in the USB cable to the phone without using Ovi Suite does not list contacts in the file list. And this phone has no memory card either so I cannot transfer the contents to the card either.

Oct 27, 2011I upgraded my N8 to Anna. Could not do the 1/2, everything else worked fine. Finally got the 1/2 to work, ever since had nothing but problems. Whenever I start the phone I get 3 or 4 system error messages. After hitting ok, I can access most of my phone. I cannot access my contacts from the home screen. I can only go into the call screen, which does not allow me to add a new contact or edit. I have tried both the hard and soft reboots and tried to re-install but it has only gotten worse. I kinda need to access my contacts for work.

Will be porting her verizon number to page plus in the very near future, however, i would like to first get the phone updated and working good before we activate it. Got a few questions, I know there is an update for windows 6.1 but both of our pc's are running windows 7 and it appears that there is no update for that system. Is this true? is there a workaround? Also, how well will I be able to get this new phone to synch with my wife's computer? It would be great if she can have her calender and contacts synch up everytime she plugs the phone in. May 15, 2012I woke up this morning with an icon for the OS 7.1 update. So I started it probably around 7.30am. It is now 14.00pm and the screen hasn't moved from "Back up your device" "Social feeds 0%" and "Overall Backup progress 10%" since about 12pm.Is this normal? How much longer can I expect it to take? I can't do anything with my phone and it is stuck on that screen.
