Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Pre-installed 'Office Suite' Will Not Open / Update
Jul 11, 2011
I've just purchase the X10 mini pro. Really impressed with it so far. However, when i try and open 'Office Suite' which was pre-installed on the phone it tells me there is an update availalbe and to continue i need to download this. When i select the 'update' button, the process begins but after a few seconds i get an error message saying 'installation failed'. I've had no problems opening any of the other pre-installed apps, and have downloaded some from Android Market with no problems.
When trying to start Officesuite or open a document using same, the following error occurs:'An update is available. To continue, the application must be updated.'Continuing via wireless or data traffic gives an immediate 'Installation failed' error.
I accidentally deleted office suite pro included in my phone (Xperia Pro), how can i get it back? While i was using my phone, an actualization window appeared for my Office Suite pro, but once i downloaded it, a new window saying "its a 30 days trial version" appeared and i cant edit my files anymore. It says i must use a product key (wich i dont have) or buy it.
In my X10, originally the icon of office suite contains in the menu but it can't use. How can I get office suite? Do you know more websites that can download?
In the 'application management' menu on my N97 Mini, I'm unable to open the list of installed apps. The system just returns to the 'application management' page. I've looked around a bit on the internet, and found out that it may be due to the number of installed apps on the phone being too large. I do admit, I'm not really restricting myself with regard to that, but I also think I should not have to be. And of course, there are workarounds, but for some functions, like changing the settings of some applications, the list of installed apps is necessary.
Questions:
1. Can the problem be resolved? After all, I didn't pump the thing full of Micro-SD memory for nothing.
2. Does Nokia know about this bug? Is it or has it been taken care of?
3. What's the limit on the number of installed apps for the application management to function correctly?

I just installed and tried the Picsel Smart Office for the Nokia E7-00.I am impressed. It is far faster than the Quickoffice. It also has a nice user interface.I spended 8 months thinking that Quickoffice was the best office suite for the E7.Too bad I did not learned that before.

I recently bought E72 and tried my level best to connect to my laptop. The only reason I bought E72 is to connect to my laptop PC and get synchronized with Microsoft office. I went to Nokia europe and found a PC software but it never got loaded.
just a suggestion or query. Do anybody have a list of apps that is isntalled directly in SD? BECAuse somme apps only works if installe din phone. & cannot or may not work even transferred thru app2sd.in deciding apps to install so that it may not affect the phone memory that much
Ok, so I still have the songs I had b4 I've downloaded the 2.1 OS; when I look into the X10 Mini, the "AVAILABLE ROOM" seems to have gotten bigger; but I also have many times in which the phone says: "no SD card found" or"no available storage" and such, regardless all my songs are there(not sure where!), and the "SD and storage" still shows the amount of memory like - Total room: 3.67GB and Available room: 3.11GB; considering I only had about 1.70GB left pryor to the 2.1 OS update!!!
I'm Spanish, and when I buy my phone it went with a lot of app's pre-installed. Well, one of this application is a demo antivirus but I want other and I download. But now I have two antivirus running, so my battery runs out very fast.
When I try to un-install it, I cannot. So, what can I do? I know that I can root my phone but I don't want that my warranty finish. It's new..
I had W350i which had a CD of PC Suite which had the facility of typing long SMS by connecting mobile phones with PC and then type from computer's keyboard long SMS but how can I do it now, I have Xperia X10 Mini Pro, I don't know that PC companion has this facility because it is too heavy to install as my web connection is not good enough? Is there anyone has the solution? It has 2.1 Android.
Checking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixing drop its icon for me to be able to use it ... from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem!I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.
I have a user (I'm their IT support) who has a BB Curve 8350 (?) and when they try to sync to office 2010 (calendar and address book) it lets me configure it in Intellisync but then gives me an "Microsoft Outlook Not Installed" error directly afterwards. Office is very clearly installed because I can open it up and check email etc. I'm using Windows 7 32 bit OS, Office 2010 32 bit and BBDM 6.0.1 B21. Phone is also updated to 5.0.
I can't open messages on my xperia mini. Its showing me I have 9 unread messages all received over the last few days but when I go into messages it shows nothing. This happened after the battery got low so it turned it self off and then when its recharged it seems to revert back to a date in the past. I have turned on and off, deleted some messages, reset date and time - all make no difference.
I installed last update 3. something, and now it tells me my SD card is not installed. I tried reinstalling the update, and reinstalling the SD card, and nothing helped. I even reformated the card to see if it helped. It was working perfectly fine with previous version of OS.
When I'm trying to update Xperia neo v firmware there is a message from step two that informs me Sony update engine could not be installed (error 0x0803d0020), what can I do?
