I've recently installed an update to my ovi store on my nokia 5800 through the ovi suite and it doesnt work. It won't open up at all! I can't install or uninstall anything it keeps saying that it's "unable to start operation: installer already in use" its a pain, can anyone help me please?

View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm using Nokia E7 and I've done a complete reset of my phone but since this reset, Ovi Store doesn't know which programs are installed. It keeps telling me that certain programs are installed while they are not or if I want to reinstall them, I get a system error. One that I really want to have fixed is fMobi but I got to my total amount of downloads and I can still not get it back installed onto my phone. Is it possible to clear my download history in the Ovi Store or what else can be done to be able to install these programs again?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi installed the latest update 071.004 on e72, now text message doesn't work properly. i have to switch off and on once to recieve the msgs. most of the msgs i send will go n sit in outbox. i have to manually select each one and select send option in outbox to send them. Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

I have downloaded the maps and installed it - and it always seems to be looking. i have gone outside, and the gps signal picture is always on "white" how do I fix this? The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
I am running Ovi Suite on Windows 7 Home 64-bit and keeps on crashing. when i open it i get a message that says sth like "Ovi stopped working. windows: there is a problem that prevents the programme from working properly" etc. (i'm translating from italian). Full stop. Nothing more, nowhere to click. There is no error message.I saw this thread (/t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/Ovi-Suite-keeps-on-crashing-version-2-2-0-245/td-p/730687) and tried to follow the procedure but this does not apply to my case because:
1) there is no such thing like a window dialog suggesting "Check online for a solution and close the program" AND "close the program".
2) there is no such thing like "View problem details" etc.
Do you know how to fix this problem and/or give me a link where I can download a former Ovi Suite version that works properly?

I reinstalled the firmware 30.xx and it started working again.
Now again Camera has stopped working, and also i have noticed, that when i click the arrow to go to next message, it goes to some months old messages randomly.DO i need some sort of formatting ? Will only hard reset work ? Is it some sort of virus on my cell?
I have a nokia c3 with the ovi store app and it dosent work. I search a app and it says no searches found, or on the featured page i select a app it says unable to connect and when i go onto my stuff it says unable to open my stuff. All my internet settings are fine.

Regardless of whether you launch Ovi from the quick launch type thing on the homescreen or on the menu, it doesn't work.
If you attempt to click on the icon on the homescreen, nothing happens.
If you click on it on the menu screen, the clock in the top right corner flickers and nothing happens.
I can't bear another hard reset, but i guess if i have to i will, any ideas?
I've just purchase the X10 mini pro. Really impressed with it so far. However, when i try and open 'Office Suite' which was pre-installed on the phone it tells me there is an update availalbe and to continue i need to download this. When i select the 'update' button, the process begins but after a few seconds i get an error message saying 'installation failed'. I've had no problems opening any of the other pre-installed apps, and have downloaded some from Android Market with no problems.

1) I download a particular maps using OVI suite. Next time when I connect my device, it does not show the installed maps.
2) There is no way to see if update to downloaded maps are available.
3) Message sync is a bit wierd. Why are there still message on OVI suite that I already deleted on my phone.
4) When I read a message using OVI suite, the indicator light on E72 still flashes.
5) Why is there an option, contact in mobile and contact on OVI, should it be same......................
a few days ago, I installed the map of Argentina and Chile on my C6-01 Belle, trough Nokia Suite 3.4.35. Those maps seems to be uncomplete, since as I browse the maps on Nokia Maps 3.09, the phone starts downloading the specific part of the maps I want to ses. Also, when I set Maps 3.09 offline, I cannot see parts of the maps.I tried to delete all maps from my C6-01 and downloading them again directly from the phone. Maps 3.09 refuses to download maps and gives me the error "unrecoverable download error'. Of course when I did that, I was connected to my home wifi.So, after all maps were removed from the phone, I installed them again through Nokia Suite, but that didn't solved the issue. Still my phone keeps donwloading parts of the maps as I browse them.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
I have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.
I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys. how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?
So apparently my ID and Password doesn't work to update and buy apps at the app store from my phone. It does work to sign into apple from my computer. any thoughts?

But I am unable to connect the phone to the computer in pc suite mode.
I updated the software on the computer as required by the update, but then it would not recognise the connection to the phone so I cant update it.
I can connect it mass storage mode, but as soon as I connect via PC Suite the usb connection dies. I am able to connect via bluetooth, but this doesn't help as it says I need to conect via PC Suite to receive the update.
How would I be able to connect the phone to the computer via PC Suite mode to get the upgrade?
Some apps with the ending *.sis cannot be installed on my 5800. How can I install the apps?
