After updateing my X10 then restoreing all my contacts and apps.My contacts keep disapearing after a while and to get them back have to reinstall update software again then do a restore to get my contacts back. Also my screen will not switch off checked my setting for screen time out its set for 15 secs.

I got back my phone in 25 days but now it is giving problem in Wi-Fi connection. 2 out of 10 times it wont connect to Wi-Fi even when i m sitting next to my Wi-Fi modem. Tried it with many different internet connections at home, office etc.There is some problem.

Running the 5.0.419 and it's been fine. Verizon came out with theirs and it's so bad I went back to 419. Now I have an email from RIM saying new software for the phone is available but it doesn't say what version it is so I'm afraid to load it. Any one else have same issue? Phone was fine after going to the first 5.0 for 2 months but now after having changed from Verizon's 5.0. (been a month or so) the issues started about a week ago.

I installed android 2.1 today but for some reason I can't restore my contacts.I followed the instructions on the sony ericsson webpage and used the SE backup software to make a backup of my contacts, mms, photos etc.When I restored everything after the update everything was restored except my contacts. How can I get my contacts back? Is there some way to extract them manually from the backup file or something? The backup software can't seem to restore them for me...

I backed up my contacts, messages, call logs everything.When the phone was updated and I restored everything contacts are missing all the rest are there.A little background to know. For some reason Xperia X10 cannot read my SIM contacts from the day I bought it when we were on 1.6 so I decided to create an CSV file to add them to the mobile memory not to the SIM.So now what? So at home I got the USB cabled hooked up to my Linux Laptop and then discovered it had to be a windows computer.Anyway, I got it hooked to a Windows computer and the update process began. I followed every instruction and set all tickboxes for backup.After unplugging this and plugging it back in and rebooting here and there, it finally reached the restore process.I left it restoring for a while. When I came back to it, it said something had crashed. I don't know what as I'd just woken from a nap.But, it seems all my applications are restored. Yet my gmail account & Facebook account have become disassociated from my phone and all my contacts no longer have any names or pictures. I opened the contacts/phone book and the list is completely empty. tried to import contacts but it says it cannot find any anywhere.

It takes 4 to 8 seconds depending on phone congestion to open it i.e. when you hit the phone icon on menu first appers a black screen and than only few minutes after you can call someone. It is a bit uncomfortable when you try call someone, especially if it is urgent, your phone's primary function doesn't work fast. And phone's physical qwerty keyboard changed to azerty.

There is no sound to make a call, playing music or when im on an App. The only solution so far that ive found is to keep turning the phone off/on. Ive tried the headphone idea, plugging it in and back out again, however there is no sound coming from the headphones either. Im baffled to what it could be!! In the last 24hrs its happened twice and it first started yesterday. After I sorted the problem out this afternoon it worked fine all day until just now.

Email retrieving works okay, but after a few minutes some emails just disappear. Check all settings, changed push settings, resetup accout, rebooted, you name it I've tried it. But I still keep loosing emails. The server keeps all email, and other accounts are no problem.

The phone shows no connectivity until i restart it and then it's okay and i can make calls (this happens quite often). Also, the phone has froze a few times when browsing it and sometimes it freezes when not using it and is usable again after restarting. Meanwhile it has a black screen or sometimes white and in some cases it won't even shut down when trying to restart the phone. What the hell? Has anyone else had these problems? What could be the cause?

Also I like to keep my screen on the max brightness but very frequently I find I have to go into the setting to lift the brightness up. It seems to keep dropping down to the lowest level all the time. It didn't before the software upgrade.
currently has a new LG something Android phone but the problem also happened with her previous Samsung feature phone. Rebooting my phone frequently resolves the problem for awhile as does receiving a message from me. But since we had problems with old phone I don't believe it's a problem with her phone. Do Handcent, Go SMS and others work independently of the stock Messaging app. I was under the impression that all messaging apps worked off the same core reception and message storage.
