Apr 13, 2011I have several pre-loaded apps such as "Places" that tell me to "enable a my Location source in System settings" to use. But how do I do this please?

BB Curve 8500 :: Cannot Install Intellisync - Folder No Longer Part Of System Data Source
Aug 3, 2010I have just bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft Outlook Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install intellisync through the Wizard and I get a "successfully installed message, but when I click "OK" the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found" appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks, or clear deleted e-mails etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.

Dec 3, 2010I was trying to get this new Facebook Places working and did something that seemed to work for a few 8520 users - Update the OS through the Desktop Software. I updated to the latest one and when I go Options > Advanced Options > Location Settings (It used to be GPS Settings or something similar, not Location Settings) I used to get GPS none and be able to switch my Location Services off and on. Since updating, I only get GPS none and Location Services off, no option to change either.
BB Maps used to find my location fine, Foursquare was good at finding very nearby locations so it must work using something other than GPS. I've updated everything only to try and get bloody FB Places working and it's not even worth it, I can't even use BB Maps now!I've tried re-installing maps and Foursquare but neither can find my location anymore so I believe it was something to do with the update.

The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.
