Jun 18, 2015Ever since I've left the location on (before I always left it off and just turned it on when I used the GPS), I've noticed a big drain on my battery. I only get 2 hours SOT as opposed to around 5 like before.

Sep 7, 2015First of all, I know a lot of people who only has Location on all the time just for their Weather widgets and apps to refresh your weather information, you don't need your Actual Location to have that, you can simply turn that off on the weather app or widget and enter your city or cities manually, it will give you the same information the only difference is that it will not ping your location all the time to do it.
I have tested all settings and I have found that the one that does the job while preserve the battery life the most is the Wifi and Cell signal only option, in other phones it's called Power Saving Mode. I've been using this option all the time for the past couple of months and it really uses very low battery, barely noticeable, this way I keep my location on to be able to use the locate device and other location services. I only change to high accuracy (GPS, WIFi and Cell) for my daily 5k runs or if I need to use Google maps or any other Maps apps. There are people who use GPS only but I've noticed that it increases (obviously) the gpsd service in my battery stats and it drains battery a lot more than Power saving Mode.
Location History is not needed for the Location Services to work, this is just a Google Service to enable other features. Take a look at this information. Google’s Location History is Still Recording Your Every Move.
Until mid April, when we had 2 separate options, Location reporting and Location History, I had location history on but Reporting off as it was besides the Screen, the number 1 battery drainer on Android, and I frankly didn't want to be "reporting" Google all my moves, but now that they incorporated both into just one setting, I just prefer to turn it off. Galaxy S6 :: Cannot Access Battery Settings
Aug 10, 2015This is my first thread and im writing to know if i am the only person who is facing the problem of no being able to access that part of battery setting wherein you get to see the abnormal usage by any app and there a button "Details". Problem that i face is that button 'details' is not click able any more. And since the day it went inactive my battery is draining like crazy. I'll attach pics of same window as well as the processes that's currently running.

Dec 3, 2010I was trying to get this new Facebook Places working and did something that seemed to work for a few 8520 users - Update the OS through the Desktop Software. I updated to the latest one and when I go Options > Advanced Options > Location Settings (It used to be GPS Settings or something similar, not Location Settings) I used to get GPS none and be able to switch my Location Services off and on. Since updating, I only get GPS none and Location Services off, no option to change either.
BB Maps used to find my location fine, Foursquare was good at finding very nearby locations so it must work using something other than GPS. I've updated everything only to try and get bloody FB Places working and it's not even worth it, I can't even use BB Maps now!I've tried re-installing maps and Foursquare but neither can find my location anymore so I believe it was something to do with the update.

Jun 2, 2012I'm an iPod 4G owner and just purchased an iPhone 3GS.Now, I made a lot of progress with some games but the saves aren't on my iPhone, so I have to start over( like 100 Floors, Mini Cars, etc.)I have sync'd all the apps, some games do continue, but other don't. So does any one know how to transfer the saves? I don't care how.

May 19, 2010For a while the camera and photos worked just fine, but now whenever I take a picture, it never saves to my pictures folder. Unlike other issues I've read about in other posts, there is no placeholder, error icon or ANYTHING in with my other photos, they just simply aren't there.
The other day I somehow mysteriously took a few photos that DID save to my folder, but just now I looked back and they have disappeared.
