Jun 24, 2015I use a Samsung S6 Edge. I have a fingerprint Lock enabled with the Device Auto Lock set to 5 minutes. I also have Trusted Places (Home & Office) added. I have a trusted Device (bose Headset) added as well. But still my device gets locked automatically after 5 mins even if i am in the trusted place or connected to trusted device.

Jan 15, 2016I have my smart settings set to have WIFI turned on in the house along with Blutooth and phone data. I also have synced the blutooth to my car so the phone can be connected automatically.
However, each time I get into my car the phone is not synced because the blutooth button on my phone is turned off. I have to manually turn the blutooth button on in my "settings" folder each time and then the car will sync up. I have the same problem with my wifi button on my phone. I want it set to on in the house but off whenever I leave the house. Instead, Wifi is still on when I leave the house but the blutooth is off.
The smart settings are turned on and my home location has been set, but they just aren't working.

Nov 14, 2014After the 5.0 update, I went to add my Moto 360 as a trusted device and when I went to the Smart Lock menu option under Security settings I was surprised that there wasn't a Smart Lock menu option in there.
This is right out of the release notes from motorola: "Android Lollipop adds native support for allowing trusted devices to keep your phone unlocked (such as your Moto 360, a Bluetooth car kit or headset, etc.). Smart Lock replaces the prior trusted device capability in your Motorola phone. Note that you will need to add your trusted devices back after the transition to Lollipop in the Security settings menu under Smart Lock."
Noticed this option missing when your Moto X 2014 was upgraded to Lollipop.
Motorola Smartactions :: The Location Setting In It Doesn't Seem To Work When The Display Is Off
Nov 18, 2011The location setting in smart actions doesn't seem to work when the display is off.I have set the phone to turn off bluetooth when I am at home or work. If the display is on, it works fine, but if the display is off, the smart action is not triggered. The smart action doesn't start or end if the display is off, it just stays in the mode it was in when the display was last on.I had a smart action that turned off a few things when the display is off, but I disabled that smart action and I still had the issue of the location based smart actions not triggering.

Feb 20, 2010I have set the home location to a non-street point near a road to check if it can route to it. As this was not a valid street name so I choose my current location from map.
When I ask to go DRIVE HOME, it say no route found. I try to chane the HOME LOCATION, as soon as I click on HOME LOCATION, program crash.

Dec 3, 2010I was trying to get this new Facebook Places working and did something that seemed to work for a few 8520 users - Update the OS through the Desktop Software. I updated to the latest one and when I go Options > Advanced Options > Location Settings (It used to be GPS Settings or something similar, not Location Settings) I used to get GPS none and be able to switch my Location Services off and on. Since updating, I only get GPS none and Location Services off, no option to change either.
BB Maps used to find my location fine, Foursquare was good at finding very nearby locations so it must work using something other than GPS. I've updated everything only to try and get bloody FB Places working and it's not even worth it, I can't even use BB Maps now!I've tried re-installing maps and Foursquare but neither can find my location anymore so I believe it was something to do with the update.

Jul 1, 2012All instructions say too push "iPod" under settings to turn on homesharing for iPhone and it does not exist. I have homesharing working on windows laptop but since that is not always turned on I would rather home share iTunes library from iPhone since my iPhone is always turned on.

One of them being a white/black toggle that reverses the color scheme on the phone.Seems pretty un-Apple like. The look it produces makes it look like it was jailbroken!

Feb 20, 2010I bought a Nokia 5230 in Jan this year. There was no issue for the first few days... Then suddenly it started restarting . Radomly. First when I enabled bluetooth. Then later on it would restart when I changed a setting like Home Screen Shortcuts or Personalised the General Profile ... etc. I am using a SanDisk MicroSD 4 GB card brand new clean formatted. I have only put in music from NokiaMusic and OVI store apps. It has nothing to do with software installed. There is some really wierd problem.
..So , I went to the Nokia Care store countless times, and they re-installed and updated the phone software and gave it to me.. still the same problem.. SO then they sent it to the Delhi Head Office and I got a replacement 5230 !!! And guess what still the same problem !!! Random restarts. I feel there is some issue with the phone software or firmware or there is some issue with the phone accessing its memory card , I dont know. I have the latest firmware update for this phone V12.0.089
