how to change app setting or something to be able to download app from unknown source?When I downloaded this app, it went to files, phone storage and messages.
Try to dowload and Security Warning Pops up, app comes from unknown source, for your security app from trusted sources can be installed.
I went to app settings and there is not choice to change.
I keep getting messages from an unknown source, I only see a green star appear where the AT&T is on the upper left corner of the screen on my Motorola Atrix.

I can look at all permissions and cancel but not install. I have tried several apps and all have the same result. I have tried from a download and from my app monster backup.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI try to update the phone by installing and running the Motorola Update Manager (I don't have wifi), after I start the process on Vista Update Manager found the update, downloaded it and start the update process.At 50% of the last step (I don't recall the name) the phone rebooted itself which I think it was part of the process. After restart windows give me a message "qhsusb_dload" windows cannot find the drive!So windows fail to recognize the device and phone gives me"Modem did not power UP (0) Starting RSD protocol support" with Motorola logo in background.
I tried resetting the phone to factory setting in recovery console and it fails.I tried running the update few different times with same resultContacted Motorola customer support, factory rest: FAIL.The only way I can start the phone is with choosing "Boot Android (No BP)" in recovery console. by doing that I can start the phone and load the motoblur and... there is no App installed on the phone and everything in the phone is rested already.When I check my phone status after booting by "Boot Android (No BP)" I see:IMEI: Unknow; IMEI SV: unknown; Baseband version: unknown; Build number: OLYFR_U4_1.8.3ystem version: 4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.USMotorola WebTop version: OHWT_U1_4.257.30AT&T said that they are going send me a new phone and for now I'm using my old BlackBerry. The first app I have listed (and also on my partner's Bionic) has a generic app icon, that is 32.00KB. No name, or other identifying info.You can force stop it, even disable it.It has permissions for Storage (modify/delete SD card contents), Phone calls (read phone states and identity), System tools (delete all application cache data).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having an error with the WiFi of the Atrix 4G. It will not connect and when I go into settings it just says 'Error'. I have had the phone since it has come out and this has never happened before. I have wiped and restarted the phone twice and nothing has changed. I have attached pictures of the menu settings page and the toggle switch which just has the loading symbol and cant be switched on or off.

It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?

I have to press the "Speaker" button on the screen and then i can hear the person on the call without issue.

I got my atrix 2 yesterday and it was set up in Erie PA at the Best Buy and when I post things to FB or my weather widget, it says I'm in Wesleyville PA which is not too far away but far enough to make a difference. How do I change this? I've trashed the widget and now just use accuweather but the FB posts are irritating me.

On every font I have (widgets, text, email, home screen), It shows up as a cursive type. I thought when you purchase a phone it is bold normal type. change this font back to regular bold style. How do you have defualt or normal font? This cursive style is way to hard on the eyes for enjoyment.

I was able to switch my text and swype language back to English, but my dictionary, all my help keys, and my swype help is in Spanish. Anyone know how to get everything back to English?
