Apr 5, 2011I just received my Wildfire today and struggling to understand it (didn't come with a user guide, just a "quick setup", but got one from the web). What I'd like to know is, is there any way to delete or remove widgets? There's lots of information on how to add them, but none that I can see that tells you how to remove them, either permanently or temporarily. The ones in particular I want to get rid of are the Weather and the Internet, since I don't have a use for the former and don't want to accidentally activate the latter, as I never use the net on a mobile (that's what I have a PC for!)...

Anywhere there is room for an extra shortcut or widget, there is a fairly large + sign. Can add shortcuts, no prob. Shortcuts will also not move by pressing them and dragging. These issues also happen when I hit the Edit button.

Sep 26, 2011I have 4 apps on the very bottom of my home screen. When I move between home screens, these icons stay in place.Calculator, maps, iD & a square I touch to open my applications. I am trying to remove/delete the calculator icon but am having trouble doing so.Any other app I can hold, it vibrates & turns red and I just drag it to the trash can. These 4 icons at the bottom of the screen don't.
When I touch the calculator icon, the calculator opens. When I touch and hold the icon for the calculator, it opens a new window that says ADD TO DOCK
and lists programs/apps to add to the dock. No options to remove.
Again, I can not hold it down to drag it to the trash can.
know how I can remove this calc icon? Is this bottom row on my screen something special where apps permanently reside?

Eight widget id values each time, looks like about nine times an hour, 24/7. Is there a way to stop this waste? Or at least keep it from pushing useful stuff out of the log buffers?

Mar 23, 2012I've recently acquired an Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with Android 2.3.4 but the screen is permanently in landscape mode. And before anyone says check display settings. Yes it is in auto rotate with full animations on. Tried repair from SE companion, hard and soft reset but to no avail.
When i check services using the *#*#7378423#*#* request, accelerometer appears to work just fine as does the Slide flip Keyboard count. I originally thought it might of been hardware fault. But these tell me otherwise.
Although, admittedly it did switch to portrait view once for a split second whilst sliding the keyboard in half way. I haven't been able to replicate it since.

If she mutes one call (by the speaker shown in uper right corner or by the volume buttons on the side of the phone), then the next calls are all on mute. She has to restart the phone, in order to have the ringer playing the mp3 again

May 30, 2014I got a problem with my Z2 gps system. A few app's say that my GPs is turned off when its not and the weather widget can't find my location, and whem i'm lucky it does but gets it completly wrong, usealy about 15km in the wrong direction. Strangely a lot of GPS requierd app's work fine. Rebooting the phone hasn't worked and re-instal the non working app's neither. At first i thought the problems where in the app's but I find it hard to belive that that many app's have the same problem and also the weather widget that was factory installed doesn't work properly.

Jun 3, 2012I'm on the latest official ICS 4.0.4. I was using the stock weather widget when using the stock Xperia Home Launcher. I just changed to Nova Launcher, which I find better than the stock launcher. However, now I find that I cannot access the Weather Widget from the Widget Menu. Most/all other widgets seem to be listed there, but the weather widget is missing!
Is there any way I can get this widget on Nova? I really liked that widget, and it seemed fairly accurate too. But I don't want to get back to the stock launcher just for it.
I know the stock Weather Widget is from Accuweather, but I am unable to find the same same widget on the Android Market. Screen showing 2 widgets in question below:
Xperia Z3 :: Photo Widget Show Broken Image Icons Instead Of Thumbnails
Jul 28, 2015Initially I used my Z3 without SD card. Everything word fine: album AND the foto widget which allows to browse through taken pictures.
After
- installing an SD card,
- changing the location for newly taken pictures to SD card
- AND moving some pictures to other directories -
- AND creating a number of .nomedia files on these directories to make these pictures not appear in the album nor in the foto widget,
the foto widget shows a broken image icon for ALL pictures taken until this change. All new pictures display fine in the widget and the album app.
I delete the album cache and data file (in settings -- all apps -- album).This didn't change anything (so far).
How can I force the album app/widget to recreate it's database and preview/thumbnails??
