HTC Wildfire :: How To Delete / Remove Widgets Permanently Or Temporarily
Apr 5, 2011
I just received my Wildfire today and struggling to understand it (didn't come with a user guide, just a "quick setup", but got one from the web). What I'd like to know is, is there any way to delete or remove widgets? There's lots of information on how to add them, but none that I can see that tells you how to remove them, either permanently or temporarily. The ones in particular I want to get rid of are the Weather and the Internet, since I don't have a use for the former and don't want to accidentally activate the latter, as I never use the net on a mobile (that's what I have a PC for!)...
share information regarding removing the uninstall applications (i have 15). I want to remove permanently and yes i wont be downloading it again that is for sure.Secondly also let me know whether these apps in uninstall category also eat the space as the memory is showing less free space. I have only 14 apps in use
I recently had my arm twisted by my carrier to switch to a capped plan after years of pre-paid. With the deal came a lovely little QUENCH with MOTOBLUR MB501. I am enjoying the phone but as I am not an internet social networker I would love to remove the "Add a social network" widgets from my homescreen. As yet I have not been able to work out how to do so.
2nd try, Apple Support? deleted my first post , as they think it exceeded the Terms, I've gotta disagree having just reread them in detail. So, to business I have trialed a lot of free apps that I wish to remove from the phone & itunes permanently, from everywhere, no reference left at all. I have read many posts about removing apps but the 'purchase' history is left behind, not good enough, I want everything gone, including history, I need to know how to remove this rubbish history. Every other piece of software I have ever bought for any device allowed me to uninstall it completely so I can divine no reason not to provide this feature. I know about the 'ability to reload purchases' stuff but these app's were free so this is irrelevant. Even if they were paid for surely it is my right to remove them completely fully understanding that if required again I will need to buy them again.
I have my blackberry bold connected to my facebook which i like alot but the calendar notifications really bother me because it makes a huge mess when im getting texts. I tried unchecking the "sync calendar to facebook option" but they still keep coming. I delete the full calendar using blackberry desktop software, but the calendar will come back in 3 days or so, even if i dont press the back-up option. It is a huge inconvenience to have to delete them all every few days and i have no use of the blackberry calendar for anything. I am completely lost and i just need a way to get rid of the calendar entries permanently, or take them off my notifications.
How do I permanently delete messages from my blackberry. I know it still stores all your messages even if you delete. That's why I'd like to know how to permanently delete messages.
I have an iPhone 5 and my battery will be replaced soon. I want to know how can i permanently delete my photos, videos and contacts from my device before the replacement.
I have two Imap e-mail accounts on my Wildfire S. One e-mail account downloads just fine into the 'In Box' and then auto transfers out into 'all messages' folder. The second account, which has exactly the same settings as the first, downloads into the 'Inbox' and then after a very few number of minutes, auto deletes. Where these files go to I am unable to ascertain.
I have the M8 on Verizon and have some pictures that I keep deleting the pictures in both photos and gallery but they keep coming back. I disabled Verizon cloud and turned off dropbox photo upload but they will not stay deleted. I even say yes to delete everywhere. What am I missing? Is there anything else that needs done.
I use iMessage and delete all my previous messages from my iPhone.
I recently backed up my iphone and a few days later tried to restore my iphone from the old backup, I did that and during those few days any iMessage I had sent and deleted all came back to my iphone. I thought i had deleted those messages for privacy reasons but doing the reset from the old backup made them messages come back.
Now my question is, are these iMessages saved somewhere on Apple servers or iCloud? I dont use iCloud feature on iphone. This is major privacy concern for me and is there any way to permanently delete these messages not just from iphone and never have such situation described above where the deleted imessages reappear.
I have deleted an email address from my Iphone 4 and the contact has defnately gone, but if I goto Email and compose a new message and type 1st few letters of that email address, then it appears. Can I remove it permanently so this doesnt happen.
I have a question about deleting unnecessary folders from phone memory ( mass memory and memory card). When navigating through memory seeing those useless folders is a big annoyance, they basically just on the way.I'm talking about folders like - playlists, music , games, video and sound files and so on, for which I have no use. Some of them I cannot delete at all.Others after deletion reappear like nothing happened.
I'm not a child and like to keep everything organized. How can I delete those folders permanently or at least hide it?
When I click on them, I have to individually download each (the phone just comes with the links/logos), but I only have use for one game and three downloads (starred). How do I get rid of the rest in my games and downloads folders? I've tried deleting them with BlackBerry Desktop Manager, but the links/logos still show up... The games I have: Brick Breaker* Tony Hawk Vert Guitar Hero 5 Mobile Bubble Bash 2 Brain Challenge Vol. 2 Tetris Demo Where's Waldo? Does anyone know how to permanately remove the Twitter icon off the Bold 1? I updated my girl's phone and this icon appeared. I used the "hide" feature, but she hates Twitter and wants it removed.
I can capture a pic using the camera but when i try to capture a video using the camcorder ...it just beeps and then nothing happens..nothing is recorded ...am i doing something wrong.
I have a contract with T-Mobile that has 'unlimited internet access' and I have a Wildfire. I was hoping to use this to enable me to access the internet on a netbook and it seems like the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot function would do the trick. However, when I tried this I get on to a T-Mobile page that is then asking me for more money and it seems that T-Mobile can detect that it is a different device than the phone trying to access the internet.
This is not the same problem as the earlier post today from the guy getting this message in error. I have a car hook-up that uses the dock connector into my CD changer and it works just great. It was originally for an older iPod so it doesn't charge my iPhone 3Gs but I'm OK with that.
Every time I plug in however I get "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". I know it's not made to work with iPhone, I understand what it's telling me and I'm happy with that - is there some way to permanently dismiss this message?
When I delete aol mail from blackberry 8530i, handheld and mailbox, it REALLY gets deleted. It doesn't go into the aol "Trash" folder, it just disappears altogether, like it never existed, and does not appear from my PC.
