Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Ringer Mutes Permanently After One Muting?
Dec 2, 2011
My daughter is using a X10 mini (Android 2.1), and is using an mp3 as the ringer melody. If she mutes one call (by the speaker shown in uper right corner or by the volume buttons on the side of the phone), then the next calls are all on mute. She has to restart the phone, in order to have the ringer playing the mp3 again
Ever since I received my mini pro, unless some program has caused otherwise (games etc) it has been stuck in landscape mode. I have checked my settings and it is set to rotate when I turn the phone and still nothing. Tried factory reset, I'm on the most recent build (I think, pc companion isn't offering any updates) still nothing.
I've recently acquired an Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with Android 2.3.4 but the screen is permanently in landscape mode. And before anyone says check display settings. Yes it is in auto rotate with full animations on. Tried repair from SE companion, hard and soft reset but to no avail.
When i check services using the *#*#7378423#*#* request, accelerometer appears to work just fine as does the Slide flip Keyboard count. I originally thought it might of been hardware fault. But these tell me otherwise.
Although, admittedly it did switch to portrait view once for a split second whilst sliding the keyboard in half way. I haven't been able to replicate it since.
My I phone 3G keeps muting and un-muting itself.....the phone keeps vibrating with bell sign on screen fr 1-2 mins and ulltimately hooks at the mute stage..
I have a Sony Z3 D6653 running Android 5.1.1 and I have noticed a slightly frustrating issue. When on a call using the Sony headphones that came with the phone, everything starts off well. When the screen locks however, the microphone on the headphones mute. Unlocking the screen does not unmute the headphones, nor does muting and unmuting the call through the phone application.
The only way to unmute the microphone is to unplug the headphone, then the phone's microphone will work. It also starts working once the headphones are replaced. I have been having bluetooth microphone problems, which I still haven't resolved, and will post on another thread. In order to try and fix that, I have taken off noise suppression, equaliser, and any other microphone / noise related enhancements. I have left Okay Google working on all screens though.
This used to not be an issue as the screen would go black when I put the phone to my ear. Now the black screen doesn't appear and my cheek is constantly hitting the mute button.
There's probably a simple solution to this that I'm just not thinking of, but my ear keeps either pressing "1" or muting my iPhone in the middle of conversations. Any quick fixes for this?
My iPhone 5S (using iOS 7.1.2) mutes itself during calls. It also selects Face Time and the speaker phone function periodically; however, it mutes phone calls on a daily basis. At first I thought the issue was a screen protector that I put on my phone; however, after removing the screen protector from the area where the sensor is (by the speaker on the top part of the phone below the front facing camera), it continues to mute my calls. This is a hardware or software issue? The issue doesn't seem to get better or worse, it pops up the most when I use my phone for a prolonged period of time, but there doesn't appear to be any patterns for when this happens.Â
Everything I've found about this issue relates to older iPhones, which makes me think it's an old software issue.Â
On second phone with same problem. I lose all sound until the battery is removed and replaced. Ready to dump phone if this happens again. Verizon and Blackberry has no solution
First of all i am a loyal galaxy fan since the s1.. but the recent lag i been getting is unbearable. Whenever an app updates in the background. ... the phone lags like hell. Switching between i have to wait at least 30 seconds. The keyboard lags. This should not happen on the "fastest phone out". It will lag the same way on my s5 in the same situation. I have alrady tried a factory reset, and wipe cache and i shouldnt eveb have to do that on a 2015 flagship phone to prevent lag. I mean the phone is blazing fast but its only sometimes
Another annoyance is that whenever i have my headphones on listening to music. The volume will lower and mute all by itself, the phone will start to vibrate and Google Now will launch by itselt. And once again the same thing happened on my s5
This is unnaceptable for me to have to go through this but I'm still in love with my galaxy s6 edge!
I never had this problem with my past Nexus phones so I'd think it's a Samsung thing. But when playing music, it will mute for a good 2 seconds or so and then resume after the notification.
This is annoying but becomes even more annoying when you are in a back and forth text exchange, or in a group text. Then the music will mute and you'll hear a loud notification constantly..
How do I disable this "feature". I don't completely recall how it was on my Nexus 5 because it was implemented so perfectly that I didn't even have to think about it and never had a problem.
When someone calls me and the phone in my pocket it mutes while I'm walking. I opened the setting and disabled (Quiet ring on pickup , Pocket mode , Auto answer calls) and i found something on setting called (Flip to mute) , i want to disable it too but i can't ! , it's options are (Mute once , Always Mute)...
I have a Verizon S5 and the media volume keeps muting itself. I turn I back up and then a few minutes later it mutes itself again. I downloaded volume blocker and it's working but it still continues to tell me that "volume has changed, tap to save".
I upgraded from HTC One M7 to S6 Edge on launch and recently I bought Spotify premium and I noticed that my phone mutes music every time I receive notification. I like to text/whatsapp while listening to music or browsing Internet. Is there a way to make the notification sound just be on top of the music without muting it?
I noticed recently that my X10 just vibrates on incoming calls even if volme is full out, but yet my text message tone is audible. I also noticed that sometimes the ringer volume is fully silent even if I havent adjusted it. I did do a software repair & it rang for just a few times after that but Im back square one!
The in-call and ringer volume on X10 is way too low, I can hardly hear the other party on a call at a shopping centre or food court. This is very frustrating as making a phone call is the most basic function of a phone but X10 fail in this aspect badly. I am sure a firmware upgrade can increase the volume on X10, its just a matter of whether SE will implement it....can everyone who had low in-call and ringer volume problem of your X10 report here?
Is there a way to set the developer option - background process limit permanently.i wish to set it to max 4 processes but after reboot, it goes back to standard limit
I find it very troubling that the phone ringer is automatically turned on when the headphones are put in. I have even set a "Smart Connect" function to try to work around this. Nothing better than having your ringer sound out over a sound system in a restaurant where you work...  My feedback from support chat basically said that the phone is made to do that and that since the phone is functioning correctly there is nothing they will do.  I am pretty sure I am a capable person, and should be allowed to control my phones notification functions.
I am using Xperia Mini Pro nd had updated my phn till version 4.0.2.A.0.58 via phone only but this time the new version 4.0.2.A.0.62 can not be updated directly via phone its says to use PC COMPANION, while using PC COMPANION and selcting the update process its prompting to stop WINIT process to start downloading the update.
My SI No. is listed in the site and I got the update notification also. But when I try to update using PC Companion, am getting the below error message.
Recently i update sony xperia mini to android 4.0 battery backup is worst i charged battery full a night at morning it shows 81% battery i a have turned of wifi, gps, data brightness 25% which app can give better battery backup
a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35% A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery. So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
I've been having problems with my phone recently, it doesn't recieve some text messages or show my missed calls. A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. So i've turned the phone off and on again, as you do.
