Is there a way to set the developer option - background process limit permanently.i wish to set it to max 4 processes but after reboot, it goes back to standard limit

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia X10 mini got switched off automatically and since then it is showing that "sorry, the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, with an option tab for 'Force close'." And since then it is not rceiving or sending any signal. It is also not getting connected to the PC. My repeated attempts by switching it OFF-on have yielded no results. That sorry window doesnot allow me to access anything in the mobile but for some duration of milliseconds when it is force closed with the option tab.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I take a look at my battery usage on my Photon, I always see Music and Media rather high in the list. In fact when I checked just now Media was at 12% and Music was at 11%, 3rd and 4th in the list. (The phone's only been on for about 90 minutes.) Since both of these apps suck, I have other apps that I use for photos (QuickPic) and music (MixZing) and don't bother using the built in apps. It's bad enough that I can't remove these apps, but the fact that they're adding extra drain on the battery adds injury to insult. When I inspect the running apps, for Music I found AmgSyncService running which appears to be part of MotoBlur. Searching the web the only thing I was able to find was a similar question posted on the xdaDevelopers forum. I suspect there is a similar process running for photos as well, but it hasn't shown up in my list of running processes.
Other than manually killing the AmgSyncService process everytime I start the phone, is there any way to disable this process to prevent it from starting up?
I keep getting this error since the latest update." the process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. try again"it will pretty much pop up when ever, but especially when I try and go to my gallery or try and take a picture or video. It is also even stopping for from doing simple task like letting my alarm clock on my xperia.I have tried to repair my phone through the sony companion but it always comes up with an error with about quater of the way too go.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to disable data for an application via the "restrict background data" option inside the data useage settings. However, even after selecting that, the app is still able to communicate over the wireless network.
Is this something that the app has to honor, vs it being forcibly put into place?
The app is "Slacker Radio" I want it to use content I cached instead of using data to pull down songs.
Being aged 39 I wasn't too happy to have a hearing test this week to be told that I am 'borderline' need for the hearing aids! I've been given very strict instructions to 'protect' my hearing (ear defenders whenever using a powertool, turning down the volume on any personal music player, no standing infront of the speakers for 2 hour at a rave!)
Wihtout wanting to get into a debate about EU regulation or what safe volumes are, how I can cap the volume on my iPhone (iPhone 4, latest OS) to a relatively agreed safe limit? I remember that my older iPod Classic had a handy line that you could set the limit to (related, I think, to the FR/EU regulation).
I have found the slider in Settings>Music on the iPhone, how much I need to dial this down for it to be 'safe'. I intend using my noise cancelling headhone more (so I can hear more of the lower volume music)

How many unlock attempts you get on these phones? (As default - I'm sure you can customize the security settings but I haven't done this.) I've left my phone somewhere, won't be able to get it for a while, and would like some peace of mind that it locks out after a certain number of attempts!

When I get an email with an attachment it doesn't download it but simply states at the top of the email "pre download limit reached" but I have set the pre download limit to "no limit" when I click on "download message" it just downloads forever but never actually downloads. I have made a wallpaper that is 5400x1920 and is 1.16mb. I made it that wide so that when scrolling I get a different image for each of the 5 screens that I use. Whats happening is the image shows and scrolls across like it is supposed to but it "flashes" between the image and a black screen.
Ever since I received my mini pro, unless some program has caused otherwise (games etc) it has been stuck in landscape mode. I have checked my settings and it is set to rotate when I turn the phone and still nothing. Tried factory reset, I'm on the most recent build (I think, pc companion isn't offering any updates) still nothing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently acquired an Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with Android 2.3.4 but the screen is permanently in landscape mode. And before anyone says check display settings. Yes it is in auto rotate with full animations on. Tried repair from SE companion, hard and soft reset but to no avail.
When i check services using the *#*#7378423#*#* request, accelerometer appears to work just fine as does the Slide flip Keyboard count. I originally thought it might of been hardware fault. But these tell me otherwise.
Although, admittedly it did switch to portrait view once for a split second whilst sliding the keyboard in half way. I haven't been able to replicate it since.
My daughter is using a X10 mini (Android 2.1), and is using an mp3 as the ringer melody. If she mutes one call (by the speaker shown in uper right corner or by the volume buttons on the side of the phone), then the next calls are all on mute. She has to restart the phone, in order to have the ringer playing the mp3 again

So the person I'm sending it to receives 2 or 3 SMS instead of one. I had the same issue on my iPhone years ago, but Apple fixed it, so I can send super long SMS. Is there a way to fix this on my Z3?

I fallowed the instructions and took backup in the third step after downloading new software while updating a popup window appeared "unable to Update try later" the phone is still connected to the PC and Internet connection is also fine. I have disconnected from PC then it is asking for step 3(switch off phone then press and hold back button step) again did that no Luck. Now the phone is not starting at all I think it formatted all the software..My phone is almost in dead condition. Now if I connected to the PC it is detecting as a mass storage and PC companion is not at all recognizing
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed an issue with the Galaxy S5 that apparently only occurs with the Verizon variant. I work for a place called Wireless Advocates, we are the cell phone kiosk inside of Costco. I'm asking about this because I've had three customers come in to ask about this background data issue.
I'm not sure what triggers this issue but when I try opening up google play I get the "Background Data Disabled : Google Play Store Needs background data to be Enabled" error. It then gives you the ability to either quit or enable the data. If you press enable it takes you to the account screen in settings.
When I go to Data usage the option to "restrict background data" is greyed out. You can't even select it and it isn't checkmarked either. Just to clarify, accessing the internet and other things on the phone work perfectly fine. It's just the use of Google Play that is having issues. I called Samsung customer care and they aren't aware of this issue at all. Also note that force stopping google play, play services, removing the google accounts and adding them back and rebooting the phone haven't solved it. After the reboot the phone will appear fine and then a box that says "Restricting background data".
I have had my xperia x10 for just under a week and whenever I make a call the receiver complains of a spitting noise in the background it is intermittent but nevertheless everyone I call complains about it. I do not hear it myself and have upgraded the software. Do I just have a faulty phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm at the home screen of my Xperia Ray, the background won't move while scrolling, because I chose this option via the Wallpaper Wizardrii app. Now, when I open up Temple Run and close it, the background is still the same but it scrolls again. So every time I play Temple Run the background scroll resets itself. I don't have this problem with any other apps (I must say I didn't try that much apps yet though)
