Motorola I Series :: I886: Can't Remove Widget From Screen?

I have just received a secondary i886 phone from Nextel Peru. I saw everything is OK but this phone shows a sidget in screen that I want to remove because doesn't work (only show a message "Problem loading widget", I even don't know which widged is it). I tried the "Confgure main screen - Remove" menu option but I can't even select the widget (with navigation keys) to remove it, widget appears to be unselectable. What can I do?

why have a link from the i886 forum home page to the Android updates page whenthe updates page doesn't discuss the i886;the i886 "settings" don't discuss Andriod, except somewhere in the licensing doc (I just read about it, I didn't bother to go looking for it in the phone's microfont.)nobody on the internet seems to know for certain what Android version the phone ships with, andSprint/Moto have apparently made no effort to date to disabuse anyone of item (3).I request you please stop the pointless taunting of innocent i886 users and remove the Android update link from the i886 Forum Home page. I suggest that a link to the daily Dilbert comic strip would add more value to the i886 user's experience on this website than the android link ever will.

How to ID or characterize what java apps will work in general?
Indications are that this phone is a b*****d not-Android-but-not-nonAndroid child. My emerging fear is that nothing will work on it unless I want to code it up myself.
To get my feet wet, I thought I'd try a calculator. I put the .jar file on the top-level dir of the uSD card and waxed optimistic as the phone's Java App mgr found and installed it. Then the calculator app took me through TWENTY different display layout arrangements without finding a single usable arrangement.

I have 4 apps on the very bottom of my home screen. When I move between home screens, these icons stay in place.Calculator, maps, iD & a square I touch to open my applications. I am trying to remove/delete the calculator icon but am having trouble doing so.Any other app I can hold, it vibrates & turns red and I just drag it to the trash can. These 4 icons at the bottom of the screen don't.
When I touch the calculator icon, the calculator opens. When I touch and hold the icon for the calculator, it opens a new window that says ADD TO DOCK
and lists programs/apps to add to the dock. No options to remove.
Again, I can not hold it down to drag it to the trash can.
know how I can remove this calc icon? Is this bottom row on my screen something special where apps permanently reside?

I don't use it, and have deleted It from my home screen. But my logs are full of it:

Eight widget id values each time, looks like about nine times an hour, 24/7. Is there a way to stop this waste? Or at least keep it from pushing useful stuff out of the log buffers?

How do I remove a shortcut from the Home Screen of a Nokia 700? I'm a bit clumpsy with the touch screen and I keep adding shortcuts for everyrhing. It's easy enough (too easy) to add them, but how can I remove/delete them? There doesn't seem to be any option to deleting them and it's not mentioned in the manual.

This may have already been asked.Does anyone know if there is a way to collapse the add widget screen so that I only see 1 line for each kind of widget and then how many of that widget there are?I swear that my droid 1 showed the list like that, but I could be mistaken. I am just getting sick of scrolling though the multitude of beautiful widgets and fancy widgets.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is my first Android phone. In the process to customize my phone, I accidentally made the weather information in home screen disappear, now it show only the time (even the background picture gone). I try to remove weather widget and add it back but it does not works. I really need to turn it back because only this will give me updated weather in lock screen.

Previously had an S3 so am not completely unfamiliar with Android and Samsung phones. I cannot figure out how to add or remove a widget to any of my home pages. Anywhere there is room for an extra shortcut or widget, there is a fairly large + sign. Can add shortcuts, no prob. Shortcuts will also not move by pressing them and dragging. These issues also happen when I hit the Edit button.

I recently had my arm twisted by my carrier to switch to a capped plan after years of pre-paid. With the deal came a lovely little QUENCH with MOTOBLUR MB501. I am enjoying the phone but as I am not an internet social networker I would love to remove the "Add a social network" widgets from my homescreen. As yet I have not been able to work out how to do so.

Is there not a way to remove the horizontal Google search bar from all, or even some of my screens? All the other widgets and items on our main screens can be long pressed and removed, but this one just opens no matter how I press it.
It is odd because there is an option to add it as it is showing with the other widgets in the widget menu, but no way to remove it. I just find it an annoyance that you can't move it or delete it. I had the same search bar on my S3 and could delete it.

i keep getting the Remove cable or connect a device to continue message on my nokia 6700 classic and also when i connect the phone to the computer the only thing there is on the top left near the battery is a icon with like 2 arrows across it. and when i connect my headphones to the phone the message pops up but my headphones dont work and they are brand new as well.

How the weather widget on the lock screen of the S5 works? This morning, I found that it remained completely non-current, still displaying the night's forecast at the end of the morning. It wasn't in line with either the accurateweather or the google now widget forecasts, so I guess that's not where the lock screen widget info comes from.
So I restarted my phone, and now the information isn't there anymore, even after a few hours. So how is this controlled?

After restarting my N97 due to it crashing (again), my calendar widget has disappeared from the home screen. I tried removing the widget from the home screen and adding it again, but this had no effect. I checked the actual calendar application and the to-do notes and reminders are not appearing if "month view" is selected. They do however appear when viewing the calendar in either "day view" or "week view". I use the calendar for planning my life
