After my update to Gingerbread I thought I'd give the X10 email another shot. It syncs fine with my accounts but the "Inbox Check Frequency" keeps resetting to never despite several attempts to set it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

Reading the manual and experimenting with different options has revealed nothing.All incoming emails end up in the Inbox (of course) and there is nowhere that these can be stored. Several folders would be useful to be able to categorise different emails, otherwise you just get a huge list of them all mixed up in the Inbox (which can be set to limit them to either 50 or 100).

I do not have a password enabled on my phone. It will give a forgotten password option and asks for a username. No matter what email address I give it tells me the password was successfully sent to my blackberry, but it does not appear in any of my email addresses. I am having difficulty resetting the Contact List default, so I can synchronize my phone and Outlook email contacts and calendar. I recently added a gmail account and this has become the default. I need to reset the Contact List back.I have deleted the gmail account from my phone and restored older backups, this doesn't work.

After upgrading to 2.3.4 my battery is drained from 100% to about 5% in about 3 hours. I noticed that data is constantly being sent and received. It seems if I change my emaill devlivery option on corporate sync email accounts from push to a periodic time, things gets much better. If I delete all but 1 coorporate sync email account battery life also returns to something tolerable. I am not receiving a lot of emails (less than 20 emails messages during the time). It seems as though multiple corporate sync emails accounts was broken in Gingerbread in a way that push email is not practical as battery is consumed and data is rate is too high. Without receiving any email had exchanged a few MB of data in less than an hour. Having single corporate sync account alleviate the data load and extended the battery life back to normal.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received a notification on my xperia x10 to update new software so I updated the sony ericsson PC companion first (as that needed updating). I backed up my files using My Backup Pro and then I followed the update procedure.
1 Start - Took about 25 minutes to download the update files
2. Prepare - I followed through this procedure so many times but nothing is happening unlike the previous updates i've done. ( Disconnect USB from phone and PC, more than 50% charge (Mine was 96%), turn phone off and wait 5 secs, connect the usb cable to PC, then while holding the back button connect the usb to the phone.......but nothing happens afterwards (unlike with previous updates). Only the phones lights turn on with the SE logo and then the battery sign just appears.
I'm trying to install the new Gingerbread 3.0 on my phone and whenever I get to the part on PC Companion where it says to hold the back button as i re-connect my USB it does absolutely nothing once I re-connect it.

Then I root and after that and I upgrade trough FOTA to .62 but my phone got bricked because I have the bootloader allowed.
