After upgrading my x10 when I connect with usb cable to my car cd player it no longer recognises the music files on the sd card. The files on the sd card are exactly the same as before I upgraded so why can I no longer play them. This has been the worst upgrade ever will be the last SE phone I buy.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have trouble with the phone recognizing my memory card - the card is SanDisk 16GB, class 10. I've lost the card I got with the phone, so I got this one. At first, it would say "Insert card", like it wasn't there, but the phone knew when I would remove it. A few times I'd get "Card damaged" message, the other times "Card is empty or not supported filesystem". 2 times I managed to get to work, but trying to take a picture crashed the camera app. I've tried formatting it several times. Right now, it's not reading the card at all. I can't check the card with my PC, since I don't have a card reader. It's getting really annoying, since I can't use the phone for almost anything. I've updated my phone to the latest software, but still nothing.

View 10 Replies View RelatedBeen having my Z3 for 3 months now running Android lollipop, I installed a new 128GB micro Sd few a month ago and it was working properly until a week ago, I restarted my phone and all applications on SD went missing, I couldn't access any application of them all am getting is an icon of blue print with a red SD circle ND if I try to access it an error pops up "application not found".
I plugged the phone to my laptop still I couldn't access the Sd card, so I took it off the phone and tried accessing it through an SD adapter and it worked fine, I can find everything properly saved in the card.
Tried formatting it and installing it again in my Z3, MY PHONE recognized it Instantly, but after restarting the phone all applications went missing again.
I want to copy files on my micro sd card and delete other files. I read a lot about the problems with the micro sd card after kitkat. I tried several things. But I could not find a solution. On windows I can copy files on the micro sd card and delete - but as soon as I insert the card in the phone, everything is in the old condition. Any way, how I can easy change files on my micro sd with Lollipop 5.1.

They have most likely NOT been removed as the SD-card was not suposed to be affected by the reset of the phone. Also I do find the apps and the files when connected to Pc. I found out that this problem does not happen on my friend's Z3 running Android 4.4.4. The only solution for me now is to restart my phone every 5 mins.

I bought a new xperia x8 few days a go. But i am having an issue with the built in memory card of the phone.When I tried to copy some music tracks to the sd card,about 75% of the tracks are corrupted after copying.I have tried with differnt mp3 files and most of them are not played after copied to the SD card.I believe this is a problem in the SD card,not in the phone. Will the poblem solve if i format the SD card?But there are some predefined folders inside the SD card and some of them are related with different applications of andriod OS. Is it ok to take a copy of this folders and paste it later In case, if i formatted the SD card?

View 8 Replies View RelatedEarlier today I had to upgrade my BBM and I was required to reboot so that's exactly what I did. When the phone turned back on all of my media was gone. I turned off my phone, pulled the battery and turned it back on and that still didn't work. I tried again and I even pulled out the card and inserted it back in. When I press the camera button it says media card unavailable. That's when I determined there was a problem with the phone reading the card because at first I assumed all of my media was erased.

I have got major problem with SD card usage. To cut the story short, it is not usable! Nothing can be copied or moved to sd card, all files got deleted as soon as I restart the device. Curently, I am running Lollipop, but there was the same problem on Kitkat.

So, I thought I would get a bigger card and bought a 16GB microSD card as I would like to put more games and alot of my music on it as well
How would I go about transferring or copying all the files that are on the 8GB card to my 16GB card without losing any downloaded data i.e large game files and game saves? CAN THIS BE DONE? As I am new to Android, any step by step advice would be great by the way!
One thing I did try was copying all the data on the 8GB card to a folder on my PC (whilst enabling the 'view all hidden files and folders' option in XP) and copied the folder contents to the new 16GB card (pre formatted to FAT32). I put the new card in the phone but cannot access the games without having to re-download the GBs of data needed and all my games progress has disappeared along with a few games and some needed game data. e.g NFS Hot Pursuit starts but will not play!
