Earlier today I had to upgrade my BBM and I was required to reboot so that's exactly what I did. When the phone turned back on all of my media was gone. I turned off my phone, pulled the battery and turned it back on and that still didn't work. I tried again and I even pulled out the card and inserted it back in. When I press the camera button it says media card unavailable. That's when I determined there was a problem with the phone reading the card because at first I assumed all of my media was erased.

I'm going abroad on Saturday and I'd prefer to use the sim card that came with the phone because it's pay as you go. however when i put the sim card in the phone to activate BBM i try and send a text and it says "unknown subscriber"

View 4 Replies View RelatedA couple of weeks ago I bought an Unlocked Samsung U900 Soul from ebay and it worked perfectly with my T-mobile service here. Then yesterday I decided that I wanted to put java games on it. So I found this video online: [URL]and followed all of the directions. The games didn't work but my phone was still working. Later that night I turned off the phone, took out the sim card, and put the sim card in my other phone which I keep on all night. Then I woke up this morning, put the sim card in the U900 and turned it on. But the screen now keeps saying "Please insert SIM card" and the screen is also showing that I have service bars. This might mean that it is still unlocked. I am guessing that the procedures in the video had to do something with the phone now not recognizing the sim card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have trouble with the phone recognizing my memory card - the card is SanDisk 16GB, class 10. I've lost the card I got with the phone, so I got this one. At first, it would say "Insert card", like it wasn't there, but the phone knew when I would remove it. A few times I'd get "Card damaged" message, the other times "Card is empty or not supported filesystem". 2 times I managed to get to work, but trying to take a picture crashed the camera app. I've tried formatting it several times. Right now, it's not reading the card at all. I can't check the card with my PC, since I don't have a card reader. It's getting really annoying, since I can't use the phone for almost anything. I've updated my phone to the latest software, but still nothing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading my x10 when I connect with usb cable to my car cd player it no longer recognises the music files on the sd card. The files on the sd card are exactly the same as before I upgraded so why can I no longer play them. This has been the worst upgrade ever will be the last SE phone I buy.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOthers may have asked this but I can't find an answer that works for my Xoom. I have a 3G Xoom operating on 3.1 but it won't recognise the SIM card.
I have:
Tried turning the unit off and repowering it - no success Tried using the SIM card from my mobile phone - no success Removed the SIM and resinserted it - no success When I look at Settings/Wireless and Networks/Mobile Network Settings, I have Data Enabled checked.
If i open the SIM card slot, I immediately get a message "SIM error - A SIM card error has occured. A mobile data connection cannot be made until you insert a valid SIM and power cycle the device. Please contact Customer Care if the problem persists".
When I reinsert the SIM, I get a triangle with an exclamation mark in the bottom right corner saying "No Service - Selected network (Vodafone AU) unavailable". Now when I go back to Settings/Wireless and Networks, the Mobile Network Settings option is greyed out an unavailable.
When I turn the Xoom off and then restart it, that Mobile Network Settings option is available again. MASSIVELY frustrated as I can't find out whether it's a setting that needs adjusting, whether it's the Xoom itself, a 3.1 problem.
Today while I was running to make it into work and clock in on time my phone fell out my jacket pocket and now the media card isn't recognized by the phone. It's not showing up when I connect my phone to my computer either. Is there anything I can do to try and get it to be recognized again?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had this Blackberry for nearly a year now and all of a sudden it does not recognize my media card. I thought it was the media card, so I bought another one but it doesn't seem to recognize that one either. It used to read all the memory cards before, which is confusing. I need my Blackberry to be able to read my media card again
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had my phone fixed, but before hand I saved everything to my memory card. How when I go to my music and pictures, it says that there are none, even though they're on my memory card. How can I make it so that the pictures and music are in my media files?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated my phone to android 5.1 and somehow my phone does not recognize my SIM card anymore. Previously, I was using 5.0.1 and had no problem what so ever with my SIM card. Is there something wrong with my phone or SIM card?
View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen having my Z3 for 3 months now running Android lollipop, I installed a new 128GB micro Sd few a month ago and it was working properly until a week ago, I restarted my phone and all applications on SD went missing, I couldn't access any application of them all am getting is an icon of blue print with a red SD circle ND if I try to access it an error pops up "application not found".
I plugged the phone to my laptop still I couldn't access the Sd card, so I took it off the phone and tried accessing it through an SD adapter and it worked fine, I can find everything properly saved in the card.
Tried formatting it and installing it again in my Z3, MY PHONE recognized it Instantly, but after restarting the phone all applications went missing again.
I upgraded to a 64gb SD card, roughly two weeks ago, and I had several problems trying to transfer all of my music and pictures and whatnot over to it from my 32gb SD card...ended up losing a lot of them because of having to re-format the card (I have a memory card recovery program on my computer already, so losing things is not a concern at this point) .
HOWEVER, my phone fully recognized the 64gb card immediately, once I properly formatted it and whatnot, but only for like a day, then I started getting error notifications that the card was not properly inserted, or the phone was not reading it, etc...the card has been inserted into my phone for about 10 days at this point... a friend of mine also has the same phone as I do (s5) and it reads just fine, as does her card in my phone, so clearly it doesn't seem to be an issue with the card itself, or the card reader slot..since other cards are registering..?
Then there's also the issue of my battery randomly draining unusually fast the last few days...and this has only been happening over the last three days...I did go to Sprint two days ago and they "primed the battery" but it did not work at all (battery life went down from 87% to completely dead in less than 5 hours last evening)...
My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works. We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration. Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

This only started happening recently, but I don't know what changed - the last update I recall to my phone was an update to the carrier settings. For some reason, however, the messages app on my phone no longer matches message senders up to contacts in my address book. Aside from the visual implications (who does that number belong to again?), I had assigned different tones to different people. Now that SMS is no longer matching up to my address book, everyone gets the same generic tone. I have tried deleting contacts and re-entering them from the SMS screen, but that didn't seem to make a difference. The same problem occurs even when I send a SMS from the address book - the SMS is only identified by number, and is not matched up to the address book entry.
I am running a fully updated unlocked iPhone 4S (5.1).
my dad got my an iphone for christmas and he wanted me to use my virgin sim card in it so i had to jailbreak it and unlock it so i did and it was working perfectly fine until one night. I was watching tv on my phone and decided to go to sleep the phone had 33% battery left so i thought ok it should last the whole night when i woke up the next morning my phone died on me. I tried putting it on charge and turned it back on but to shut itself down for some reason even thought the battery by then was roughly 50% so i tried restoring everything back to original software and now it wont recognise the original orange sim card it came with when i got my phone. I have also tried using an virgin simcard just in case and also used an 02 simcard aswell for good measures but nothing all i get is
"There is no SIM card installed in the phone you are attempting to activate. Please dissconect and insert a SIM card into the iPhone"
