View 2 RepliesSo I recently bought the bold 9900 and got a vodafone sim card with the phone but already have a vodafone sim on contract. I'm going abroad on Saturday and I'd prefer to use the sim card that came with the phone because it's pay as you go. however when i put the sim card in the phone to activate BBM i try and send a text and it says "unknown subscriber"

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 9650 Bold has stopped recognizing word or name prompts for voice dialing. It still works for phone numbers but not names like "John Smith" or words like "home". My dealer tried to correct it by removing the battery and restarting the phone. When it starts it shows a java uncaught exception for java.lang.NullPointerException
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using SanDisk 16 and 32GB micro SDHC memory cards with both the Bold 9000 (no problems) and the Bold 9900. I had no problems until I accidently broke a 32GB card, snapped it in half, when removing the battery and not noticing that the memory card had slid out a tad.
I replaced that card with the exact same Class 4 card from SanDisk. That card is recognized by my PC (Windows 7 Ultimate) and by the Bold 9000.
The Bold 9900, despite everything I've tried, including reformatting the card to exFAT, rebooting, updating the OS, everything you can imagine, I still get the message that there is no media card in the phone.
My phone not recognize my media card, I have took battery out and media card, put the battery back in without the media card then put media back in and it still doesn't register that there is a media card in my phone.

I'm not too sure when exactly it happened, but if i'm not mistaken it was soon after I set up my email accounts on my Playbook. I've tried all the common solutions like sending the service books etc.

I have the Curve 8520 and to remove the card, you just pop the battery cover off, and slide the card out while the phone is still on That way you can pop it into your laptop and email things to people, without having to turn the phone off.How do you remove the Micro SD from the Bold 9900 ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a replacement Bold 9900 when my previous one developed hardware issues. I transferred the SIM card to the new phone which is now operational. I also did a backup restore which retrieved my Contacts, WiFi and other data but not pictures and files. So, I tried to connect to my old device with a USB cable; this prompts me to sign-in which does not work I think because the SIM card is not there(?)
Is it possible that I connect to my old phone as a USB device when it does not have a SIM card?
