Sony Ericsson :: Side Buttons Stopped Working Randomly?
Oct 13, 2010Every once in a while the lock key and camera buttons all stop working, they just don't do anything. After a time they all start working again. I've taken the phone in for repair twice, but I suppose with it being an intermittent problem they've had trouble tracking down what's going on. Anyone any ideas why this is happening? Is it a software problem as it happens to buttons on both sides at the same time?

Every time I take the battery out and put it back in it begins to load up the blackberry screen, but gets maybe a 1/4 of the way before flashing white and going completely blank. Jul 29, 2012A few days ago whilst texting the buttons on my blackberry torch just stopped working. I thought maybe it was water damage because a bottle of water leaked in my bag whilst my blackberry was there but that was earlier in the day and it was fine afterwards. Anyway, when the keyboard stopped working I took the battery out for a day and put it back in and it still isn't working. I put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours and it's the same. Whats weird is that when I put it in safe mode the keyboard will all work for about 5 mins then stop again. And everything else works but the buttons - the phone itself is fine and I still get emails but I can't open them because the back button and everything doesnt work.

BB Curve 8900 :: Recurring With All Buttons - Stopped Working
May 23, 2010my blackberry curve has stopped working again, this is the third time that the fault has developed and this time it lasted a week, each time the device gets returned I'm assured that the fault has been rectified. So far its had the software upgraded, its also had the keypad replaced and an internal service and its now broken again
I have been onto vodafone and all they can do is repair the device again but there getting nowhere with it as each repair only lasts a week is there anyway I can get this replaced through blackberry as vodafone seem to be completely rubbish at resolving this one. I don't even mind getting a refurbished unit or an older model, just something that works. I have tried redoing the firmware, I have also done numerous battery pulls but I'm getting no luck

IPhone :: 4 - Randomly Stopped Working
May 8, 2012So my iPhone randomly went blank and won't work at all. I've tried charging it and it doesn't charge nor does my iTunes recognize it. I've heard that I need to press and hold the lock and home button at the same time but the thing is my lock button broke about a month ago for no reason either. My phone is past the one year warrenty. Am I seriously going to have to pay the big bucks to get my phone replaced? This is rediculous as I've taken amazing care of my phone, always used screen covers, good case etc. Not only that, I am expecting a few big calls this week that I can't miss.

I've tried taking the battery and sim card out, I've tried updating my phone (the guy at my location bell store told me to do, he's seen this a lot) but nothing is working. Apr 14, 2011the keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

Apr 23, 2015My power button suddenly stopped working this morning. I think it may have worked once with a really long delay... But since then I have to tap my screen a few times to wake it up. I'm worried that if my battery ever runs flat I won't be able to turn my phone back on.
Then I have realised my volume and camera buttons dont work either. They definitely all worked yesterday.
I'm really not happy with this phone. I look after it properly, it cost me a lot of money not long ago, its kept in a protective case and has never been dropped etc. I spent more money than I could afford on a phone thinking I should buy the best I can and I shouldn't have a problem with it being Sony, but so far I have been disappointed with it.

Jul 19, 2012Today the Home, Back and Search buttons stopped working in my Lumia 900. They don't work at all now. Zune says the software is up to date. I even tried a Hard Reset on it, but it didn't help.I tried once to boot without SIM card, and it seemed to help -- but only for a while after which the issue reappeared. Now I've been rebooting the phone a million times with and without SIM card and not seen the buttons working at all. Is it a HW failure?

Sep 12, 2012Today, randomly the headphone port stopped working, when I play music with headphones in, they are not recognized and music is played through the speaker instead. Do I have to replace the jack? I have rebooted many times. When the headphones are halfway in, the phone recognised them for a short while but then carries on playing through speaker. Feb 24, 2015When I went to sleep last night, my phone was working fine. It was on my bed and charging. When I woke up this morning, it was still plugged in but completely dead.
It won't turn on, it doesn't have the red light when charging, nothing. I tried a different charger, tried the force restart, even tried the little yellow button and still nothing.
The only thing I can imagine is that it severely overheated and blew the engine. Nothing else makes sense. Is there anything else I can do beyond replacing it?

Oct 29, 2015I have a Google Nexus 5 and it's hooked up through Straight Talk's AT&T towers. Yesterday my phone randomly stopped being able to use its 4G, so even though it shows that I have full bars I can't connect to the internet using my data AND it seems as though I'm not receiving text messages. When I try to make normal calls, an automated voice tells me that something has been "deactivated".
I haven't reached my data use limit yet (not even by half!), my bill for this month is already long since paid, and I haven't downloaded/done anything that seems like it could have led to this. I've tried a couple of other fix-it methods but non seem to work.

Apr 5, 2012My iphone 4 is fairly new, I have been using it for about 2 months. It has been perfectly fine besides a bit kinks here and there, the usual things. But today my lock/power button randomly stopped working for me. My fone wont lock at all. I did shut it off by holding the home button and the lock button, but then I couldn't turn it back on, with the reason being my lock/power button will not work. It is not jammed nor loose.

Jul 3, 2011Last night both my Twitter & Myspace accounts that are linked to my Motoblur account stopped working. I would constantly get an account error icon in my notification bar. I changed to passwords on both accounts, I made sure email and passwords were correct a million times lol
Nothing worked with Twitter or Myspace..SO I removed both accounts from my Motoblur account, re-added my Twitter account (which is now working fine) BUT my MySpace account is still not working.
I have removed it, changed the password, then tried to re-add it just like my Twitter account problem. It still won't work! IDK what is wrong, I have even tried without WIFI on
I get this error message from MotoBlur Account Management Screen when trying to add my MySpace account "Your entry is invalid, please try again"
Now I know this is false, can someone else tell me either how to fix this or is this a problem right now with MySpace?
BB Bold :: 9900 Randomly Shuts Off?
Oct 31, 2011It has been a month since I bought my 9900. Lately I have noticed that it randomly shuts off. I think the problem is with the hardware because any slight taps on the back made it restart. Has any of you heard of this before?I really like my 9900, but this is just stupid. The phone is brand new. Is there any way I can exchange it (in seattle) for a new one, even though I bought back in Saudi Arabia?

Jun 27, 2012I have had a Bold 9900 for a little over a week now, whilst the battery is not that great on it (even with auto power off turned on and screen brightness right down) my major issue seems to be with the it switching off and rebooting randomly. Some days it will go the whole day without doing it, others it will do it three or four times during the day, sometimes during a call, sometime when it is just sat in my pocket.
