Every once in a while the lock key and camera buttons all stop working, they just don't do anything. After a time they all start working again. I've taken the phone in for repair twice, but I suppose with it being an intermittent problem they've had trouble tracking down what's going on. Anyone any ideas why this is happening? Is it a software problem as it happens to buttons on both sides at the same time?

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

And now my "5" button is also starting to play up, when i press the button nothing happens so sometimes i may be pressing it 10-20 times before it works, Anyone else had this problem? What do I have to do to send my phone to the Sony Ericsson repair shop because I just bought it and it's seriously messed up. Lagging, freezing, restarting. Buttons work whenever they decide to and a signal problem but I'm not sure if that's the phone or where I live.

I love listening to music and I hate the messy wire from the phone to the headset so I loved the idea of MH 100. But after having it for only a week, the MH 100 suddenly stopped working. It won't light up whenever I try to turn it on, or whenever I try to charge it. It was fully charged the last time I was able to use it. Is there some kind of solution to this other than bringing it back to the shop where I bought it? I know that sending it to the service centre would take a lot of time. And it's been only a week since I bought it and still is fairly new so having it opened up already kinda feels bad.

All of a sudden I have a problem with the volume on my phone. I know it isn't a problem with the speakers as all my videos play normally with sounds, and when I try to change the ringtone, it plays. However, I cannot adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the side, and the silence switch doesn't work...when I press any of them, there is no on screen confirmation of a change. The ohphone also doesn't play any noise when I have an incoming call or text. But I like I said, I can play videos with sound, I can go to settings and sound and hear the ringtones. I have reset, and restored the phone but nothing has made any difference.

My C905 has started to push Side Up Button instead of Clear Button. Every time I try to clear something like a number when trying to call, it just shows Info menu, or turns ups the Volume, or when I give a continuous push its try to Voice calls. I have tried with a replace of cableflex but nothing happens. Also tried flashing the phone.

And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.

I thought maybe it was water damage because a bottle of water leaked in my bag whilst my blackberry was there but that was earlier in the day and it was fine afterwards. Anyway, when the keyboard stopped working I took the battery out for a day and put it back in and it still isn't working. I put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours and it's the same. Whats weird is that when I put it in safe mode the keyboard will all work for about 5 mins then stop again. And everything else works but the buttons - the phone itself is fine and I still get emails but I can't open them because the back button and everything doesnt work.

my blackberry curve has stopped working again, this is the third time that the fault has developed and this time it lasted a week, each time the device gets returned I'm assured that the fault has been rectified. So far its had the software upgraded, its also had the keypad replaced and an internal service and its now broken again
I have been onto vodafone and all they can do is repair the device again but there getting nowhere with it as each repair only lasts a week is there anyway I can get this replaced through blackberry as vodafone seem to be completely rubbish at resolving this one. I don't even mind getting a refurbished unit or an older model, just something that works. I have tried redoing the firmware, I have also done numerous battery pulls but I'm getting no luck

So my iPhone randomly went blank and won't work at all. I've tried charging it and it doesn't charge nor does my iTunes recognize it. I've heard that I need to press and hold the lock and home button at the same time but the thing is my lock button broke about a month ago for no reason either. My phone is past the one year warrenty. Am I seriously going to have to pay the big bucks to get my phone replaced? This is rediculous as I've taken amazing care of my phone, always used screen covers, good case etc. Not only that, I am expecting a few big calls this week that I can't miss.

My power button suddenly stopped working this morning. I think it may have worked once with a really long delay... But since then I have to tap my screen a few times to wake it up. I'm worried that if my battery ever runs flat I won't be able to turn my phone back on.
Then I have realised my volume and camera buttons dont work either. They definitely all worked yesterday.
I'm really not happy with this phone. I look after it properly, it cost me a lot of money not long ago, its kept in a protective case and has never been dropped etc. I spent more money than I could afford on a phone thinking I should buy the best I can and I shouldn't have a problem with it being Sony, but so far I have been disappointed with it.
