In 23.1.A.1.28 there's a problem with importing Contacts (.vcf files) from internal or external SD. I deleted data from contacts apk, but i doesn't wotrks. I make a full wipe once a week, so it should not be a problem of my flash method or configuration.

But I could not find a solution. On windows I can copy files on the micro sd card and delete - but as soon as I insert the card in the phone, everything is in the old condition. They have most likely NOT been removed as the SD-card was not suposed to be affected by the reset of the phone. Also I do find the apps and the files when connected to Pc. I found out that this problem does not happen on my friend's Z3 running Android 4.4.4. The only solution for me now is to restart my phone every 5 mins.

I bought a new xperia x8 few days a go. But i am having an issue with the built in memory card of the phone.When I tried to copy some music tracks to the sd card,about 75% of the tracks are corrupted after copying.I have tried with differnt mp3 files and most of them are not played after copied to the SD card.I believe this is a problem in the SD card,not in the phone. Will the poblem solve if i format the SD card?But there are some predefined folders inside the SD card and some of them are related with different applications of andriod OS. Is it ok to take a copy of this folders and paste it later In case, if i formatted the SD card?

So, I thought I would get a bigger card and bought a 16GB microSD card as I would like to put more games and alot of my music on it as well
How would I go about transferring or copying all the files that are on the 8GB card to my 16GB card without losing any downloaded data i.e large game files and game saves? CAN THIS BE DONE? As I am new to Android, any step by step advice would be great by the way!
One thing I did try was copying all the data on the 8GB card to a folder on my PC (whilst enabling the 'view all hidden files and folders' option in XP) and copied the folder contents to the new 16GB card (pre formatted to FAT32). I put the new card in the phone but cannot access the games without having to re-download the GBs of data needed and all my games progress has disappeared along with a few games and some needed game data. e.g NFS Hot Pursuit starts but will not play!
I recently bought an Xperia Mini Pro. View 1 Replies View RelatedI copied from my old phone to the PC, and then to my X8, some pictures from my contacts. They are under the DCIM folder in the SD card.When I edit a contact and choose to add a picture, I can't add those pictures. The following things happen:
If I choose to use the internal Album application to browse and select the pictures, it shows all the photos I took with the phone's camera, plus several others that I don't know where they came from. It doesn't show the pictures I just copied from the PC to the SD card. But the ones that are visible can be selected and used.If I choose to use a file browser (such as OI File Manager) to browse and select the pictures, I can browse to the SD card, under folder DCIM, and see all the pictures, but that I took with the phone and the ones I copied over from the PC. But once I select a picture it just does't go to the contact. The contact editor still show's the default picture of a silhouette, and won't use the picture I selected. So,
how can I add pictures that I moved from my PC to the SD card as contact pictures?Where are the pictures stored in internal memory? Where are all those fancy silhouettes kept?

View 1 Replies View RelatedPrior to the old handset being sent away, i backe up my contacts to the SD card, which i thought was all well and fine,Hah!So, after downloading the contacts into the phonebook, i was surprised to see that the numbers had been partially replaced with hyphens, making it a no go to recover the actual digitsI ended up getting something like, 013-25-5489 which in this example, has two digits missing.How are we supposed to work out what we are missing.I have emailed SE CC UK about my situation, so we will see what excuses they come back with and if i do not like them, then i shall take this issue to out Trading Standards as the back up facility does not do what it says on the tin.
