I bought a new xperia x8 few days a go. But i am having an issue with the built in memory card of the phone. When I tried to copy some music tracks to the sd card, about 75% of the tracks are corrupted after copying.I have tried with differnt mp3 files and most of them are not played after copied to the SD card.I believe this is a problem in the SD card, not in the phone. Will the poblem solve if i format the SD card? But there are some predefined folders inside the SD card and some of them are related with different applications of andriod OS. Is it ok to take a copy of this folders and paste it later In case, if i formatted the SD card?
Ok so everytime I move files over from my internal storage to my sd card on my galaxy s5 they become corruped. This is my 3rd memory card I have purchased so it's not that. I am even using an official samsung 64gb micro sd card uhs-1 class 10. When the video clips are saved on the device they play fine. So I copied them over to my sd card using the my files folder on the phone and "moved" them and "copied" them over. At first the files play fine but then when I go back later to play them some of them pop up as unable to play video and are corrupted. I googled the issue and I'm not the only one having this problem but I haven't found a resolution either.
I inserted the M2 card into the card reader, copied a few files and then took off the reader and put it back on the cell phone. Now, it wouldn't get the card. Again put it on the card reader, clicking on it, says that: Do you want to format? What to do to recover my files in it?
have a BB 9300 curve an downloaded music files to the music folder. Everything played and was working fine.I then uploaded and deleted some music files through the bb pc software via the usb cable. Now everything seems corrupted and none works properly. The files are in the play list, but I can't play or delete them. The main screen also shows that there are 12 songs in the library, but there are only 8 (of which none work)
My Nokia 5800 memory card sometimes goes rogue and i cant access my music player and says my files are corrupted. The problem is i can view my images and i can access the music via file manager.
Everytime I transfer data (music or photo) on the card, it become corrupted. There is no problem with everything that stay on the internal memory.
The problem is present if I transfer through the phone or through the PC app.
I first tought the card was the problem. I tried it on the PC, I tested it with an app on the PC: the card is fine with no error. I also tried 2 other cards, they all do the same.
When I try to write some data to my SD Card (with an phone internal app, or with phone connected to my USB port) the data get corrupted. I'm running android 2.1, the SD card was tested separately on my computer and works fine !
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 16GB version and Recently I had been to a hiking trip and had used my Xperia Z3 on the trip extensively for photos and vidoes. I have taken as much as 600 photos and few videos of size 2.9 GB. Since the phone memory was getting full, i moved the images, videos using the "Move Files to SD Card" option found under "Settings --> Storage".
The Transfer finished successfully and the phone memory was relieved. Now after this transfer, i can't open any images moved to SD card. They all were moved to "DCIM --> 100ANDRO" folder.
The photos seem to be corrupted. ALL OF THEM
This is such a mess and I tried a few tools for recovering the images. They didn't woork for me. How to recover these photos? These are memories from a Trip which I can do only once in life time.
The jpeg image properties show up the File Size clearly which means that the content is still there but somehow corrupted.
I want to copy files on my micro sd card and delete other files. I read a lot about the problems with the micro sd card after kitkat. I tried several things. But I could not find a solution. On windows I can copy files on the micro sd card and delete - but as soon as I insert the card in the phone, everything is in the old condition. Any way, how I can easy change files on my micro sd with Lollipop 5.1.
After few months of using phone, more and more files are becoming corrupted...

After few months of using phone, more and more files are becoming corrupted. It's mean your videos, your audio files and maps is no more usable. After formating memory card works everything OK, but only for while (few weeks or months). What I should to do? Still do memory card formats, or try to buy new memory card?Anyway my girlfriend has the same phone and she has the same problem. So its mean, probably all nokia 5800s has this BUG.Why nokia is not able to make one good phone model without bugs?
Lately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
Have a new Nokia 5230 the Maps application was working fine and now get this on the PC Ovi. Cannot find maps or voice guidance on your device. This is due to either of the following reasons:Your device does not support the Nokia Maps application. The maps and voice guidance files are corrupted Ok then went to help and deleted the files as advised.
If you see a notification in Nokia Ovi Suite Maps that your device's maps or voice guidance files may have been corrupted, switch the device's USB mode to the mass storage USB mode. Then, from your device's memory card, look for a folder named Cities and a file named qf, and delete them. After that, switch back to the PC Suite USB mode. Refer to the user guide of your device for more detailed information on selecting or changing the USB mode.

The music player on C7 is not working. The error message says " Files corrupted, Operation cancelled". I removed all music files and reloaded. There is no issue with the music files as they play from file manager.
i own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?
my problem is that my phone says Memory card corrupted, when I try to enter to file manager, on Nokia N900, it says memory card format unsupported, well, I'm here ask for your help.
After I Reseted and updated my phone all of my apps and files on SD-card is not recognized by the phone. They have most likely NOT been removed as the SD-card was not suposed to be affected by the reset of the phone. Also I do find the apps and the files when connected to Pc. I ahve tried to search for some cind of management for this but I have not found anything.
After I upgraded my phone (Xperia Z3 Dual D6633) to Android 5.0.2., the phone cannot save or write files on SD card. My SD card is original and not corrupted. I found out that this problem does not happen on my friend's Z3 running Android 4.4.4. The only solution for me now is to restart my phone every 5 mins.
I have posted some screenshots
Tried to take a picture. Save picture was set to SD card.
I recently got a Nokia 5800 Music phone on contract, I've already had to get an exchange once because the battery was dodgy on it. I'm now having problems with my 8GB memory card, when I put it into the phone it said "Memory Card Corrupted", So I formatted it, as it had said to (lost all my music from it) And now it only shows up as 30MB, **bleep**? Also, when I take pictures and such, they're all showing up as corrupted (since they save straight to memory card) - I called up the company who I've got the contract phone from, and they really weren't any help.
I backed up my phone, AND memory card.I updated firmware from 025.007 to 025.008. Since I had been having some odd behavior, I decided after the upgrade to reset the phone using *#7370#. The phone did refresh, but afterward, the memory card was unreadable. The error using file manager showed "Memory Card Corrupted" when clicking on the "E" drive. I tried reading in a card reader and it too failed. So, I am doing a long 11GB restore, but wanted to post this in case there is a known issue. If not, perhaps this should be looked at. My understanding of the reset process is it does not impact the memory card.
My memory card became corrupted and i think formating to defaults values will fix it.How do format the memory card inside the phone by not connecting the phone to the PC?
After taking my son on his first cub scout camporee this weekend. I took tons of pictures and once we got home and started to show most of them are corrupt. I DID have the camera app set to save pics to the internal memory. Some how while playing with the settings it was changed to save to the micro SD card. All photos that are saved to the SD card seem to get corrupted. They have a normal file size but I noticed that all of the corrupt files have a resolution of -1 x -1. Pics that aren't corrupt have a resolution of 5312 x 2988.
I unmounted the SD card and when I connected it to the computer to browse all the files and directories disappeared. I was able to recover them using testdisk. So, the files are still there. Is there a way to show the folders and files, because testdisk renames all the files.
In 23.1.A.1.28 there's a problem with importing Contacts (.vcf files) from internal or external SD. I deleted data from contacts apk, but i doesn't wotrks. I make a full wipe once a week, so it should not be a problem of my flash method or configuration.
After upgrading my x10 when I connect with usb cable to my car cd player it no longer recognises the music files on the sd card. The files on the sd card are exactly the same as before I upgraded so why can I no longer play them. This has been the worst upgrade ever will be the last SE phone I buy.
