Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Data Traffic And GPS Is Not Working Properly?
Apr 19, 2012
the thing is sometimes the data traffic doesnt work, i mean when i enable data traffic there is no E symbol and the same thing is happening with my GPS...sometimes they creates problem and if GPS get started its nt able to provide actual location.
things what i did--- system reset 2 times + system repair using PC companion but the problem is from 2 days..what should i do to enjoy my cell phone experience again..
In my neo v, after enabling data traffic not able to connecting network on time. After 3 to 5 minutes notification shows data traffic symbol enabled. this issue facing not frequenlty, still worried with performance
If leave a wifi area my xperia z2 doesn't start to use mobile data, so I have to reboot like ten times a day... Also i even lose mobile data without entering a wifi sometimes.furthermore the signal is pretty weak compared to my old xperia Z :-(
here again with a problem on my neo v mobile.i wantd to use internet on my mobile i had used many times also but this time while im enabling the data traffic it is showing as enabled but there is no E symbol and also i cant use the network data.
I read one thread, in that they mentioned that with the data traffic ON only we can able to receive SMS etc but with data traffic OFF i able to receive SMS etc. Then whats its exact purpose?
I keep having to manually turn it off (by unchecking 'Data enabled'), which is annoying. What might be triggering it back on all the time? I want to use wifi when available and only (expensive) 3G data when no wifi is available. what I should check? I've read that 'apndroid' can assist, however I don't want to use this if it's not necessary.
Is there a way to disable APN without disabling data traffic? I have seen some different apps doing it, but how can I do it manually? I ask because I only use wifi and not 3G.
I just got a new X8 phone with android 2.1 on it.I ve been trying to find the data traffic and the data monitor widgets, and also where the data traffic option is in the settings but I can't find any of these ve looked in the add widget option and neither of those 2 widgets appear in the choose widgets menu.
Hi, I'm having a problem accessing the market through my phone (xperia x8), I have the data traffic turned on, should I have anything else on or off or what?
I just upgraded my Xperia Mini from Gingerbread (Gb) to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Recently, i'm facing some difficulties where my Data Traffic suddenly disable after i close my browser or any app.Fyi, i used packet data and i leave my phone connected to the internet without restriction in case ther is any update / email / notification pop up. So now, when this things occurs, i have to enable back my data traffic everytime it disable.
I don't always use the internet on my phone so i turn on data traffic only when i need it. but sometimes it does not automatically connect (the down/upload status is not visible) that i just usually restart my phone. Is this advisable and will it have any bad effect (such as phone deterioration and lower battery life) on my phone?
I am unable to connect to the internet now. From yesterday just nothing happens when i click the data traffic icon and confirms the dailogue box that appears. No notification comes in the notification bar once it is turned on and I am unable to connect. But on disconnecting, the data traffic has been disabled notification appears.
As the title of the thread says, i'd just like to know if this is at all possible. I've tried getting to it via the shortcuts menu, and by navigating through the menus and trying the long press method. Nothing happens though. Please share your knowledge if you have found a way.
is it allright if my BB data plan is working on a GPRS (capital letters) connection but without the BB icon? I clarify... with a wi-fi connection, I have UMA and the BB icon, and everything is fine when I'm outside, I have GPRS (capital letters), and BB services seem to work as well, but no BB icon. The Orange assitance told me that as long as the services are working, it doesn't matter whether I have the icon or not, but it seems weird to me.
I'm just trying to work through my phone after updating to 2.1, it's like having a new phone and starting all over again! On the new 2.1 if you got to Settings, Wireless and Network, Mobile Networks....the top two are "Data Roaming" and "Date Traffic". Is DATA TRAFFIC equivalent to the Internet/MMS application on 1.6?If I click Yes to Data Traffic it warns me that "additional charges may apply....." etc etc. I didn't get that warning on 1.6? Is this just the standard internet connection?
I am using curve 9320 blackberry handset. I found a new type of problem while using the data transfer via Bluetooth (BTh). If I wish to transfer the data to the sama model i.e. 9320 to 9320 it works fine but as soon as i wish to transfer the data from my 9320 to BB curve 8520 the data transferred failed. On the same time the data from 8520 BB curve to 9320 is nicely transferred on my curve 9320.
I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 I ALWAYS have data roaming turned off as I travel a reasonable amount and don't want the charges. All automatic downloads are also turned off. On a recent holiday to France the phone the phone decided randomly to download my emails at 3pm one Friday afternoon (after we'd been there for almost a week) - this totalled around 3MB and cost me around £10.00 This was the only time the phone did any downloads (it was in my pocket not being used at the time) - so it appears as if randomly for around 10 minutes one wet Friday afternoon the phone decided to ignore the data roaming switch and download my emails (and apparently nothing else). I have read some real horror stories online about this kind of thing but nothing where it just pops on and off.As I travel a reasonable amount I can't afford for this to keep happening.
I've been using my Bionic for about 24 hrs now (pretty heavy useage) and only 3 items show up in the "Battery and Data Manager":
Southwest Airlines App (96%)
Cell Standby (2%)
Phone Idle (2%)
That's it. I've used about 30 different apps and I've had WiFi on and off, I've been on LTE and switched to CDMA only for a bit. I've tried out the GPS, used Google Talk, the browser and a bunch of other stuff that I know takes up battery life and I want to know what is killing the battery? Is there a fix for the Battery and Data Manager or somewhere else on the phone I can look for this info?
im using a bell atrix and my data has been wonky. My phone will show that it is connected to h+ with the up down arows showing but my phone is unable to open any web page or do a speed test. This issue is intermittent and a phone tester will provide a temporary fix. It even drops a connection during continuous data use. I register the Host Routing Table.
Wifi traffic monitor app that will show you how much data you have used at any certain time, per period (day/month/etc) but also grouped by network ssid? Like for example I'm running a personal hotspot (portable 3g router - say ssid TEST) that has a certain ammount of data available per month, and I want to see on my phone for example, how much data I have used on that particular network (ssid TEST).
I found some apps that show monthly and daily wifi usage, but it's combined for all wifi networks you connect to. I am looking for an app that shows usage per wifi network.
I went for a short walk today, and when I got home I noticed that endomondo had it as a 4km walk. I measured on gmaps pedometer as less then 2km. When I had a look at map, I saw why.
few days ago I've made a discussion here about the GPS of my Mini, that wasn't working good after an update. Before the update, it got locked on 30 seconds(max) in a cold start, and in a normal start, in about 5~10 seconds. After the update in the same conditions and same place, in a cold start, it takes around 1~2 minutes, and in a normal start it takes around 30 seconds. That's not normal, my friend has a Mini too and he is with the same firmware and his lock time on a cold start is around 25~30 seconds and on a normal start 5~10 seconds. I get the phone to the SE assistance, after 1 day they told me that was a firmware trouble and updated it again, but the phone still the same. What should I do?
My phone came with GB 2.3.4 build .62 which is hard to root. So as the above guide directed, I downloaded a .42 build firmware, CE(Central Europe perhaps? I don't know) and tried to flash it using flashtool. I disconnected the phone from the PC in between. My phone wouldn't boot. Then I used SUS and updated it to ICS, making the phone work. I then flashed it to GB .42 patiently, and with success. Alas, problems started immediately. Many processes such as media, calender storage, acro etc came up as stopped working. Even after selecting force close they would keep appearing. I cleared the respective cache/data and the notifications stopped. Then I rooted it using Doomlord's toolkit, and updated to .62 via OTA, keeping my root. A few things have changed. The keyboard name is the same, International keyboard, but it is different and I don't like it. Camera is not working. Screen goes blank if I open the camera. Messaging does not work and the messaging app crashes as soon as I open it. No contacts are found, despite importing them again. (They all show up when using the import from SIM option, it says importing is done but they are nowhere to be found). Google search is not working and it crashes too.
My Xperia Z3+ is not working properly. The touchscreen works at random on its own and most of times won't work especially on the corner ends both bottom and up...Plus when I try to slide the it doesn't work either.Continues even after removing all the covers and cleaning and so on..
A few days ago I bought a new Xperia Z5 Premium from a local reseller, and it works just fine, most of the time.Yesterday I noticed that the fingerprint scanner works pretty bad most of the time, and sometimes it chooses to not work at all.It just refuses to recognise my fingerprint, and I've deleted and registered it over and over again.I've now added three registered prints of my thumb, and it still is extremely wonky. (The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.
I have a problem with WIFI connection Xperia NEO after installing ICS. I tried to repair using apps that I found but to no avail. I checked the router settings to change channels 1-11 on WPA2 encryption.
Since the Lolliopop update, change the orientation from horizontal to vertical (or vice versa) often results in the no screen rotation i find I have rotate the device at least 180 degrees before it detects anything
