I keep having to manually turn it off (by unchecking 'Data enabled'), which is annoying. What might be triggering it back on all the time? I want to use wifi when available and only (expensive) 3G data when no wifi is available. what I should check? I've read that 'apndroid' can assist, however I don't want to use this if it's not necessary.

No notification comes in the notification bar once it is turned on and I am unable to connect. But on disconnecting, the data traffic has been disabled notification appears.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm just trying to work through my phone after updating to 2.1, it's like having a new phone and starting all over again!On the new 2.1 if you got to Settings, Wireless and Network, Mobile Networks....the top two are "Data Roaming" and "Date Traffic". Is DATA TRAFFIC equivalent to the Internet/MMS application on 1.6?If I click Yes to Data Traffic it warns me that "additional charges may apply....." etc etc. I didn't get that warning on 1.6? Is this just the standard internet connection?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm on the latest official ICS 4.0.4. I was using the stock weather widget when using the stock Xperia Home Launcher. I just changed to Nova Launcher, which I find better than the stock launcher. However, now I find that I cannot access the Weather Widget from the Widget Menu. Most/all other widgets seem to be listed there, but the weather widget is missing!
Is there any way I can get this widget on Nova? I really liked that widget, and it seemed fairly accurate too. But I don't want to get back to the stock launcher just for it.
I know the stock Weather Widget is from Accuweather, but I am unable to find the same same widget on the Android Market. Screen showing 2 widgets in question below:
Who else got gps issues with this device? When location is set to gps only and data turned off, gps doesn't work. In my previous devices it would work no problem.

I go to my quick data button and it shows that data is off, but on the top of the phone it shows data is on. The only way to stop the download is to turn on airplane mode.

Is there a way to turn off the "cellular data is turned off for application" notifications? I play most games in single user mode and don't use social apps, so I don't see any need for cellular data or wi-fi to be active for every app. The notification pop-ups get really annoying. Is there a way to kill them?

There's the timezone issue they have to fix, all inbound txts are in a different timezone.Also, when Im at home with 3g and wifi activated, apps will have alot of trouble getting to the internet. I have to disable one to get networking to work. Ill try locale app but networking should work seamlessly.Now I see the 3G icon and the H icon whirring away and I have 'Mobile network' disabled.Anyone else having these network issues? Does the Legend notify you if youve had an OTA update?

my Defy+ does also reboot. Let me explain what i already tryed.i am a T-Mobile Germany user and have a data plan called Web`n`walk flat wich only allows for webtraffic eg ports 80/443 basically.- I got the Handset replaced 2 times, however the handsets i got where not new they where "repaired" whatever that means. So i did not send mine and had to wait, actualy they replaced it at my door. So 3 different handset where the last one is the worst one. Anyway -> no difference.
- Under my contract i do have 2 SIM cards and i ask them to replace the older one with a new one so i tested 3 different SIM cards where the last once where n3 and n4 -> no difference
- delivered 2gb SD card, Samsung class2 8Gb, new Samsung 16 Gb class10, formated the 16Gb in the handset -> no difference
- 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 which i got some time at the second handset as OTA Update -> no difference
- 2 different MOTOBlur accounts -> no difference
- factory reset/cache wipe -> no difference Even i experience the reboots strait after the factory reset within the start wizzard eg on the Screen where you turn on Data Usage.
- turn data connection to 2G only -> no difference
But now:
- if i turn off DataUsage keep the phone connection active and just stay on WiFi -> no reloads for hours/days?
As the last handset keeped restarting at my house as well i connected it to the adb and capture some kernel logs.... the system dies with Kernel Panic and restarts.Here we go with an example. It is just the panic lines and a bit above. I dont understand that mutch of linux kernel debugging however. I required i could do more logs. (only without root as the phone is on the 2.3.6 kernel ROM)

How do I stop the prompt coming up indicating that mobile data is turned off for a certain app. I know it is turned off and I don't want to be reminded every time I open an app.
