IPhone 5 :: How To Turn Off Mobile Data Is Turned Off Prompt For Certain App
Aug 31, 2014
How do I stop the prompt coming up indicating that mobile data is turned off for a certain app. I know it is turned off and I don't want to be reminded every time I open an app.
since upgrading to IOS 8, I am constantly getting warnings that from apps that mobile data is turned off. This happens when connected via WiFi and even when opening Settings - the place where you turn mobile data on and off! How can I disable this annoying alert and has a bug been submitted as it is incor behaviour to moan about mobile data when INET connectivity is present via WiFi.Â
BTW, this interface for this site is tragically bad when using an iPhone 5 in landscape mode. It doesn't "just work"
My wife and I both have 2014 Moto Xs on AT&T, roughly 3 weeks old. My phone is 100% great, however her phone will only connect to Wifi networks if mobile data is turned off.
I've tried everything, and can't get it to work correctly. It will either show the list of networks associated with the device with the word "disabled" under the most recent network, or be stuck on the blank "Searching for Wi-Fi networks..." screen.
I have a Galaxy S6 (64G) from AT&T. I've been having problems receiving Whatsapp notifications when the screen is turned off for a while. I measured that it takes about 10-15 minutes after the screen is turned Off using the web interface for whatsapp. I have enabled notifications to always allow pop ups in the appI checked that restrict background data is not enabled for WhatsppI have set Whatsapp notifications as priority under App notificationsChecked to make sure that So not disturb is set to OFF.
After the connection is dropped I see all the missed messages and notifications showing up only after opening the app. This has been very annoying and I've been unable to respond to important messages in a timely manner if the phone has been idle for a while.
basically my phone is not connecting to mobile data after wi-fi connection is lost or manually disconnected. This is not always happening but once it happens the only way to bring back mobile data is by restarting the phone or manually toggling mobile data on and off in settings. Once it connects to mobile data it'll work for a while but then after being connected on WI-FI for a while it won't go back to mobile data on its own.
I have just returned from holiday, I turned my mobile data off while I was away by simply dragging the top bar down and turning it off. Oddly since I have been back the option to turn it back on is greyed out!
When I turn off the mobile data on my s6 it has a pop up that appears stating that some things can't be done. Is there a way to stop this pop up? Also the s6 is pretty awesome. I was skeptical due to the battery but I've got 3hrs So, 9hrs usage and 43% left. This phone is nice.
Whenever I turn off mobile data, I get a popup saying "Unless you connect to a Wi-Fi network, you will not be able to use the Internet...", is there a way to turn this popup feature off?
I am using motorola defy for the past two months. I am from India I have a small problem with my device.I am unable to turn off "All mobile data"I unchecked the "all mobile data" check box, but still the E symbol is present on top.when I went back and saw the data delivery filed the option is again checked(Tick mark on All mobile data)here is where I made changes:settings-> data delivery-> all mobile dataIs there any problem with the service provider or there is any problem with the mobile.I want to solve this issue without doing factory reset.
I have a new T-Mobile S6 Edge and love the phone, but one thing I have not figured out is why I still get background mobile data usage even though I have disabled mobile data and set "restrict background data". Both tuiService and OS services are downloading approximately 100K at a time periodically over mobile data throughout the day even though I have a wifi connection.
After the 5.1 upgrade, my automation apps can't turn off mobile data anymore. That was how I was stopping beeps while I was sleeping. How do I get the phone to go completely silent except for phone calls overnight?
My goal: phone goes silent during set night hours; the only thing that can get it to make noise is a phone call or alarm. It would also be convenient to be able to toggle that mode on or off manually. I need it to be 100% effective in shutting up every single app and beep, and so far the only way I've found to do that is to turn off all data connections.
Would the new 5.1 "Downtime" option fix this problem? On the Interruptions settings page, I could set only phone calls to be priority interruptions, and then set only priority interruptions to come up during quiet hours. Would that really stop all apps, or just those that play nice? Can't seem to trigger that downtime time manually, though.
I've been using Battery drain analyzer free to set up a silent mode at night. It has a simple night and day setting, where at a set time, it can turn things off or on. So every night at bedtime, it turns off wifi, sync, and mobile data, so the only things that could really happen are phone calls and text messages. (I'd like to silence texts, too, but have not figured that out.) Then it all comes back on at a set time in the morning. Simple and straightforward -- that's all I want. It's also convenient to be able to hit the "night" button if I go to bed early or sleep past the usual wakeup time, or to hit the "day" button if I wake up early.
But with the update to 5.1, that app doesn't automatically turn off mobile data anymore. I've also noticed that my Power Toggles notification bar button no longer turns off mobile data with one click; instead it sends me to the settings page for mobile data, where I click again to turn off mobile data. There's no option in Automate It, either.I'm guessing that this is a settings change in 5.1.
so i purchased my HTC Wildfire S , last month with Metro PCS and well now it keeps telling me that there is a Radio Interfence Resource Shortage and I dont understand whats going on.... nd then it says thisSMS ErrorCause Code: 64Error Class: 2
I just got my brand new S6 128 gb from ATT and when I go into airplane mode I get this prompt asking me to confirm, but it seems like there is no way to disable it which is pretty annoying. Any app that will allow me to go into airplane mode without getting a prompt? My previous M9 did not have this problem. Also I do not mind sideloading an app that allows me to have this capability.
Still struggling to get to grips with my new iPhone 4S....Reading the User Guide it says "to turn Cellular Data off go to Settings/General/Network then turn Cellular Data off".The only problem with my phone is that "Cellular Data" does not appear in the Network screen. However "Mobile Data" does.is it the the same thing? For cost reasons I would like to be in control of when I use the internet and already I have inadvertantly incurred charges without being aware that I had gone on to the internet. Will selecting "Mobile Data" to "OFF" solve my problem.
3G iPhone, 8 GB, 3.1.2 firmware, jailbroken and unlocked.Been working just fine, and every now and then I am rebooting it with no ill issues. This morning I went to reboot it again (via SBSettings), but for some reason.I tapped "Power off" instead of "Reboot"; the phone wouldn't turn ON now.no matter how many times I try to. I tried both with the USB cable plugged in and not plugged in, it will also go in DFU but that's that. All it does is show the apple logo w/ black screen for a few seconds and then die again.Again, it has been working just fine prior to this. What would the problem be, any suggestions?I am not able to restore it at this time as I am not currently at home.
Yesterday my iPhone 4 turned itself off and won't turn back on, it was fully charged and it's been charging all night. I've tried holding down the home and power button but nothing has happened.
My dad just bought an iPhone 4. If he turns off the cellular data option, can he still recieve iMessages from me sent from my iPad 2 that uses wifi? If he can recieve iMessages with cellular data turned off, is there any charge or data usage required?
Is there a way to turn off the "cellular data is turned off for application" notifications? I play most games in single user mode and don't use social apps, so I don't see any need for cellular data or wi-fi to be active for every app. The notification pop-ups get really annoying. Is there a way to kill them?
my mobile LG3G, this morning it turned off like it was rebooting, so i ok ill let it go and be bk on after it, no it didnt it goes like its goin on to my homepage, then says android starting up and doin the apps etc b4 its goes to homepage, the thing is everytime all day, it keeps saying android starting up, like its doin the apps eg 1 of 138, after that it its been doin that all day, cant access any of the mobile as its still starting!

I was using my iphone 4 today when it just shutoff, I tried turning it back on by using the power button. I tried turning it back on by holding down the sleep button and the main button at the same time for over 30 sec.I had it fully charged but it still wont turn on. I put it on the charger for about an hour and it still wont turn on. I havent had any problems liek this on my iphone before. I havent dropped it, I havent jailbroken it. I have tried DFU.
My iphone turned off by itself and it wont turn back on, tried resting it, holding down the buttons but nothing is working, tried plugging it in to the comp and charger, and nothing.
