View 5 RepliesI have both wifi and mobile date turned and my Verizon galaxy s5 with lollipop turns my data on and starts to perform an update. I go to my quick data button and it shows that data is off, but on the top of the phone it shows data is on. The only way to stop the download is to turn on airplane mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S6 (64G) from AT&T. I've been having problems receiving Whatsapp notifications when the screen is turned off for a while. I measured that it takes about 10-15 minutes after the screen is turned Off using the web interface for whatsapp. I have enabled notifications to always allow pop ups in the appI checked that restrict background data is not enabled for WhatsppI have set Whatsapp notifications as priority under App notificationsChecked to make sure that So not disturb is set to OFF.
After the connection is dropped I see all the missed messages and notifications showing up only after opening the app. This has been very annoying and I've been unable to respond to important messages in a timely manner if the phone has been idle for a while.
basically my phone is not connecting to mobile data after wi-fi connection is lost or manually disconnected. This is not always happening but once it happens the only way to bring back mobile data is by restarting the phone or manually toggling mobile data on and off in settings. Once it connects to mobile data it'll work for a while but then after being connected on WI-FI for a while it won't go back to mobile data on its own.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWifi on Lollipop 5.0.2 takes to much time to connect. It used to connect fast in KK.
When connected to Wifi it shows connected whereas the the Mobile data sign does not disappear unless as quick. Only after the Mobile data signal is disabled after 10 secs the connection starts working.
I bought a new Neo V and I allow the phone to discharge. I charged the phone and then try to put it back on. The phone is telling me there is no data service and it immediately cuts off.

Is there a way to turn off the "cellular data is turned off for application" notifications? I play most games in single user mode and don't use social apps, so I don't see any need for cellular data or wi-fi to be active for every app. The notification pop-ups get really annoying. Is there a way to kill them?

Hi, I'm having a problem accessing the market through my phone (xperia x8), I have the data traffic turned on, should I have anything else on or off or what?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThere's the timezone issue they have to fix, all inbound txts are in a different timezone. Also, when Im at home with 3g and wifi activated, apps will have alot of trouble getting to the internet. I have to disable one to get networking to work. Ill try locale app but networking should work seamlessly. Now I see the 3G icon and the H icon whirring away and I have 'Mobile network' disabled.Anyone else having these network issues? Does the Legend notify you if youve had an OTA update?

my Defy+ does also reboot. Let me explain what i already tryed.i am a T-Mobile Germany user and have a data plan called Web`n`walk flat wich only allows for webtraffic eg ports 80/443 basically.- I got the Handset replaced 2 times, however the handsets i got where not new they where "repaired" whatever that means. So i did not send mine and had to wait, actualy they replaced it at my door. So 3 different handset where the last one is the worst one. Anyway -> no difference.
- Under my contract i do have 2 SIM cards and i ask them to replace the older one with a new one so i tested 3 different SIM cards where the last once where n3 and n4 -> no difference
- delivered 2gb SD card, Samsung class2 8Gb, new Samsung 16 Gb class10, formated the 16Gb in the handset -> no difference
- 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 which i got some time at the second handset as OTA Update -> no difference
- 2 different MOTOBlur accounts -> no difference
- factory reset/cache wipe -> no difference Even i experience the reboots strait after the factory reset within the start wizzard eg on the Screen where you turn on Data Usage.
- turn data connection to 2G only -> no difference
But now:
- if i turn off DataUsage keep the phone connection active and just stay on WiFi -> no reloads for hours/days?
As the last handset keeped restarting at my house as well i connected it to the adb and capture some kernel logs.... the system dies with Kernel Panic and restarts. Here we go with an example. It is just the panic lines and a bit above. I dont understand that mutch of linux kernel debugging however. I required i could do more logs. (only without root as the phone is on the 2.3.6 kernel ROM)

How do I stop the prompt coming up indicating that mobile data is turned off for a certain app. I know it is turned off and I don't want to be reminded every time I open an app.

I am trying to set up call waiting on my Galaxy 6. I followed the directions: Tap: Phone, More, Settings, More Settings. I am supposed to see a Call Waiting choice at this point, but all I see are choices for TTY mode and hearing aids.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) for my work and I recently noticed a flaw in the phone. Here is the scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) Disconnect or 'End' the call # 2.
5) This will also end the call # 1 and you have lost both calls.
Here is another scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) SWAP the calls from #2 to #1
5) End the call #1.
6) This will also end the call # 2 and you have lost both calls.
BOTTOM LINE: Disconnecting any one call during call waiting will automatically disconnect the other call as well.
I have a Galaxy S5 and recently installed the lollipop update. Not sure if that is what is causing this issue or not since I can't be sure if it didn't begin immediately, but I now have a situation that when I am on a call and another call comes in (call waiting), both calls drop without me touching a button or accepting the incoming call.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy S5 call waiting is strange! When a call comes in through call waiting, 2 things happen:
1. I cant pick up the new incoming call! After swiping it stays on call #1. And then
2. Whether I swipe for the new call or not, It will hang up both calls after 5 seconds!
I thought updating may work, but I continuously get a "check back later Update is unavailable"(my wording) message through my phone,or it wont allow me to update through the Verizon update fix while plugged into the pc.

When during a phone conversation there is an incoming call (call-waiting), my Samsung Galaxy S6 rings the ringtone. Obviously, call-waiting should beep; the other side should not hear my ringtone go off while in the midst of conversation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have 2014 Moto Xs on AT&T, roughly 3 weeks old. My phone is 100% great, however her phone will only connect to Wifi networks if mobile data is turned off.
I've tried everything, and can't get it to work correctly. It will either show the list of networks associated with the device with the word "disabled" under the most recent network, or be stuck on the blank "Searching for Wi-Fi networks..." screen.
since upgrading to IOS 8, I am constantly getting warnings that from apps that mobile data is turned off. This happens when connected via WiFi and even when opening Settings - the place where you turn mobile data on and off! How can I disable this annoying alert and has a bug been submitted as it is incor behaviour to moan about mobile data when INET connectivity is present via WiFi.Â
BTW, this interface for this site is tragically bad when using an iPhone 5 in landscape mode. It doesn't "just work"

I'm currently out of the country and have data services turned off. Had to redo settings. iMessage for phone number is now unverified and "waiting to be activated". It works with my email, but not my phone number, which is what most people have. Is there a way to verify phone number when the phone data is turned off? Or can I only receive via my email address until I am back in the US

Im going to the US this summer for a long excursion, i intend to take a large amount of photos on my iphone, i just wondered if i 'places' still worked when 1.data roaming is turned off and 2. if airplane mode was on for obvious reasons i dont want to come back after 3 months and find that i have a phone bill of over a thousand pounds because i left data roaming on.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5 and the S Planner-calendar. I am also syncing with my Google calendar. The thing is, I never need notifications for appointments, I look at the calendar from time to time anyway. So, I allways turn of the notifications but I still get them, the kind of turn themselves back on after a while and I get both notifications by push AND by email.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWithin the past couple of weeks I started noticing that the phone was having trouble charging. As the problem got worse it would intermittently vibrate and flash and stop charging, but then resume normal charging. The problem got so bad I was unable to get it to take a charge at all and the battery ran out completely. So I took it to the Verizon store. The guy plugged it in using his charger and it immediately started charging. Problem solved. I needed a new charger. Not so fast. Once I got it home and started using it again the problem returned. Today in frustration I turned the phone off. After a few minutes I plugged it in and it immediately started charging, and in less than an hour was at 100%. So I turned it back on and started making calls. After a while I plugged it in to see if it would charge and I get the same issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm constantly battling low internal drive space on my Tab S (I'll NEVER buy another 16GB internal drive device), but this question should also pertain to my S6.
When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?
I was traveling in Germany and Italy, and I made sure to set "Data Services While Roaming" to "Off." However, I still did incur data roaming charges. They are really small-- like 15KB/day, but it's nonetheless annoying that my Blackberry Bold 9700 is using data even though I turned it off. I use AT&T. Does anyone know why?
View 4 Replies View Relatedgalaxy s6 system ui turns on location often. I catch it about once every 2 days while on my phone. I long press the searching for gps and it shows "lollipop system UI". I'm guessing that is what is turning on the gps for a few seconds(~10s) every so often. I was wondering if there is a setting so it doesn't do that, because I think it's unnecessary.
