I have a Galaxy S5 and recently installed the lollipop update. Not sure if that is what is causing this issue or not since I can't be sure if it didn't begin immediately, but I now have a situation that when I am on a call and another call comes in (call waiting), both calls drop without me touching a button or accepting the incoming call.
View 2 RepliesI am using my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) for my work and I recently noticed a flaw in the phone. Here is the scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) Disconnect or 'End' the call # 2.
5) This will also end the call # 1 and you have lost both calls.
Here is another scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) SWAP the calls from #2 to #1
5) End the call #1.
6) This will also end the call # 2 and you have lost both calls.
BOTTOM LINE: Disconnecting any one call during call waiting will automatically disconnect the other call as well.
My G3 Lollipop can't switch calls when someone calls me during a phone conversation. Is it something needs changing in settings?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing an inconsistent, but elatively frequent issue with my RAZR. I'm on a call, a second call comes in. Sometimes, I ignore the call and my original call gets dropped. Other times, I switch over to pick up the second call and both calls get dropped. Sometimes, it works is it should and I can go back and forth between calls as expected. This has happened in multiple locations, so I do not believe it is tower specific. I never experienced this issue with the original Moto Droid I owned prior to the RAZR.

1. I cant pick up the new incoming call! After swiping it stays on call #1. And then
2. Whether I swipe for the new call or not, It will hang up both calls after 5 seconds!
I thought updating may work, but I continuously get a "check back later Update is unavailable"(my wording) message through my phone,or it wont allow me to update through the Verizon update fix while plugged into the pc.

When during a phone conversation there is an incoming call (call-waiting), my Samsung Galaxy S6 rings the ringtone. Obviously, call-waiting should beep; the other side should not hear my ringtone go off while in the midst of conversation.

1- i can not put running call on hold to receive call on waiting.

Recently I dropped my Samsung S5 into a swimming pool. Luckily, after patiently sitting it in Rice for a week or two and replacing the battery, it is working perfectly again.
Apart from one point - whenever I try to make or take calls the phone immediately crashes and then reboots - I have tried putting the phone into safe mode and the issue persists. I can't understand how the rest of the phone could be working perfectly (texts, internet, audio, etc.) but the calls are causing crashes?
My S5 just started telling me who is calling by using what I think is the S Voice feature. I cannot figure out how to stop this from happening. I have checked and it is not in car mode, so I'm not sure what to do at this point. How to turn this off?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm a bit annoyed that every time I get a call while in a call an attempt to answer it now asks me if I want to hang up or place the current call on hold, this is a great feature it's just poorly implemented, instead of skidding right to hold and up to hang up or left to ignore it forces me to slide right to answer then press what I want to do in a popup.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an S5 for my work device. It is locked into the corporate policies setup by my IT department.
My first issue is - as part of policy, I must have a strong password and my phone auto locks after 30 minutes. When I make calls, even 3 second phone calls, the phone will lock after I hang up.
My second issue is kind of linked to the first - when my phone is connected to my Sony Car Stereo, it disables the keyboard so I cannot type (obviously a safety feature), which is fine because I do not drive and text/email etc. except that after I take a call, I cannot unlock my phone to allow me to make another call.
Using my z2 with latest update,
1) when I receive a new call (waiting) while i am already in a call, the calling contact name is not appearing, its covered by the current call info !!!
2) during a normal call , if i get the mobile off then on my head ,sensor should get the display off again swiftly , its not the case at all, sometimes display keeps running, & sometimes it give a" black light" not turning off , this is not normal...
my SGS 2 has started to divert to answer machine after only a couple of rings? How can I change the time phone rings before going to the answer machine?

SO EVERYONE CAN SHUT IT. Seriously guys chill the hell out. This happens to me on my LG EnV2 if I hold it the wrong way near the top of the phone. EVERY TIME. IT CAN HAPPEN WITH ANY PHONE ON ANY NETWORK.I mean it's just absurd what is going on here on these message boards.
