Aug 14, 2015Weirdest thing I've ever experienced with a smart phone. EXCLUSIVELY while using the Wi-fi at my house, I am unable to see pictures and load profiles on Facebook and Instagram while on my G3. Other apps don't seem to have this issue. It all works flawlessly on any other wi-fi or while using 4G. Also, the internet here works flawlessly for every other device in my house (PC, PS4, Xbox, etc).
I can use Messenger pretty much just fine, although it takes forever to send and receive pictures through it.
What on earth could possibly cause this issue? It's ONLY on MY wi-fi, and it's ONLY those apps.
Xperia Ray :: Does Not Connect To WiFi Properly
May 1, 2012I've had an experia ray since Sept 2011 and have problems connecting to my wifi at home since. I'm now on my third handset as my phone provider think that will fix the problem.
I've googled this problem and tried the static IP address route which didn't help. I've reset the phone, done a phone repair, removed and re-enabled security on my router. Nothing helps.
The problem seems to be that the phone continually scans for new networks, so it will connect to my wireless, scan for new, disconnect then reconnect constantly. So if I try access anything web based, I maybe have to try 5 or 6 times before I'm lucky enough for it to be trying right at the moment it's connected.
Xperia X10 :: Unable To Connect To Wifi Properly Since 2.3.3 Update
Jan 28, 2012Since I updated to 2.3.3 late last year, I've not been able to get onto t'interweb. I can connect to wifi and to the network now, but pages won't load. I've downloaded an app to fix wifi but that hasn't sorted it either, and it doesn't matter which network I connect to.
I've tried static IP etc which gets me connected, but it doesn't get the pages loaded, and it worked before the update on all networks absolutely fine so it's not the routers that need sorting, it's the phone.
what else to try that preferably doesn't involve wiping the phone and starting again?

Oct 1, 2010 few days ago I've made a discussion here about the GPS of my Mini, that wasn't working good after an update. Before the update, it got locked on 30 seconds(max) in a cold start, and in a normal start, in about 5~10 seconds. After the update in the same conditions and same place, in a cold start, it takes around 1~2 minutes, and in a normal start it takes around 30 seconds. That's not normal, my friend has a Mini too and he is with the same firmware and his lock time on a cold start is around 25~30 seconds and on a normal start 5~10 seconds. I get the phone to the SE assistance, after 1 day they told me that was a firmware trouble and updated it again, but the phone still the same.
What should I do?

Xperia Ray :: Its Not Working Properly After Flashing And Rooting?
Dec 13, 2012My phone came with GB 2.3.4 build .62 which is hard to root. So as the above guide directed, I downloaded a .42 build firmware, CE(Central Europe perhaps? I don't know) and tried to flash it using flashtool. I disconnected the phone from the PC in between. My phone wouldn't boot. Then I used SUS and updated it to ICS, making the phone work. I then flashed it to GB .42 patiently, and with success. Alas, problems started immediately. Many processes such as media, calender storage, acro etc came up as stopped working. Even after selecting force close they would keep appearing. I cleared the respective cache/data and the notifications stopped. Then I rooted it using Doomlord's toolkit, and updated to .62 via OTA, keeping my root. A few things have changed. The keyboard name is the same, International keyboard, but it is different and I don't like it. Camera is not working. Screen goes blank if I open the camera. Messaging does not work and the messaging app crashes as soon as I open it. No contacts are found, despite importing them again. (They all show up when using the import from SIM option, it says importing is done but they are nowhere to be found). Google search is not working and it crashes too.

(The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.

Nov 10, 2014Getting pretty frustrated with the WiFi lately. I don't know what happens, but sometimes when I come to use my phone, I find the WiFi connection not working. The WiFi status icon shows it's receiving and not sending data, which is weird. I turn WiFi on and off, I "forget" my WiFi details and register them and again, but still not working. The only soluton I found wokring so far, is to restart my phone.
It's really an inconvenience when I'm in hurry and trying to get something really quick, and suddenly my phone goes, "Nope, WiFi not working, gotta restart me ", and I'm just looking at it with a straight face and blinking faster
What makes this happen? I have the "Keep WiFi On During Sleep" off, though I'm not sure if that's the case. And yes, the problem started happening after the Lollipop update.

Now though we have Cox for internet service. My phone is connected to the wifi, but more than half the time does it ever work. When I try to access a webpage or app that requires the internet, it will not load at all and sometimes say I do not have any internet access. So while it's "connected" I am unable to access anything and it's as if I'm not even using wifi.
Other details:We have a Motorola Cable Modem: Model SB121A Netgear Dual Broadband Router: Model WNDR3400-100NAS N600And for an extra secruity setting, we have selected the option not to broadcast the wifi so that the only way to connect to it is to know the SSID and connect manually.
